sorry for kiriban winner, you will be featured soon, I did not forget you I just write some sad journals and my mood is far from nice, so this is not the best time for kiriban.
By the way, there is a new one: send me a printscreen of 1 022 222 pageviews and you will win a feature (no feature for porn or animal cruelty, ok).
Well, I have news about wolves, as I have promised to keep you informed.
If you do not know what I speak about, check this journal, please!
Two ZOO Brno's employees answered my question about wolves and one of them was a zoologist, so I think we can consider that reply trustworthy.
So: as you probably already know, my beloved Atila, famous alpha wolf from ZOO Brno, died. He died of old age (10 years). His death is the cause of the current bad state of other wolves. The death of the alpha is followed with a lot of stress, as the hierarchy of the pack is completely crushed and in terrible mess.
The ZOO repeatedly applied te

About (kinda) stolen names and identitiesAlright, since i got about two notes of people asking me about this matter by now, i feel that this is something that should be briefly addressed.About (kinda) stolen names and identities1 year ago in Personal More Like This
To make it perfectly clear:
NO, i am NOT Culpeo Wolf, the person who was seen on Dr. Phil lately. I don't like wolves, i'm not a furry, i am not American.
But I am:
Culpeo Fox. The one who pretty much brought the word „Culpeo“ to the world wide web (aside from Wikipedia, that is) since most people had no idea this was an actual fox species back then, prompting dozens to actually ask me whether this word/name was made up by myself.
All these others: Culpeo Wolf, Culpeo Rat, TheDarkCulpeo, CulpeoFox1, CulpeoFoxElizabeth and whatever else their names are came after me. I would lie if said that it doesn't irk me in a way. No, i didn't patent the word „Culpeo“, for it is an actual species of fox, as mentioned above and people will choose their names how they feel. And yet...whenever i see another „Culpe

This is very heart warming to see other artists inspired by my works. The greatest compliment is to see someone else mimic you and that certainly holds true. If I missed any one's piece inspired by me, just leave a link to it in the comments and I'll throw it up here. Check these out.

At the beginning of August I found myself at a hospital, diagnosed with gallstones. The only effective way of getting rid of them is to remove the whole gallbladder altogether. Unfortunately it quickly got much worse. I got a severe case of cholecystitis and developed a hydrocele. It was suspected that the inflammation started to spread to my peritoneum and liver. Even more unfortunately it didn't stop there. During all the medical examination I went through during the next few weeks it was discovered that everything was in fact caused by gallbladder cancer, which before was wrongly identified as inflamed tissue.
You can probably imagine how devastated I was after getting the news - after weeks of pain I got to know that I had cancer with extremely poor prognosis and had absolutely no money for a surgery.
Desperate I turned to my

Ok we're back, sorta. School is a terrible environment for art. And I have a lot of people who can vouch for that XD Anyway, the point is, I won't be working on it at 10 a day. Not for now, anyway. What is going to happen instead, is, I'll be drawing the remaining Pokemon first, then :IconAldenlite: will vector them. After that I'll color them all at one go, and you guys will see the complete collection. About time, I know. It's coming to the end of a school term, after which I have a week to rush up my homework, and of course, the project. Hopefully I can get it up by then.
Anyway due to the new sequence of actions, we'll actually need 3 progress bars to handle this.
Sketched: 644/725 (Reuniclus)
Vectored: 600/725 (Seismitoad)

Colored (And Complete): 560/725 (Serperior)

Kiriban (744 444) is very close!
And I am busy and totally stressed. I fell asleep - I wanted to sleep only some 10 minutes, but I woke up now, after some 6 hours! it makes me unhappy. I am afraid I will not make it, there are so many pages and I do not remember anything. But I want the graduation exams to be already behind me. My life style is just terrible now two more days and it would kill me
Role Play ConventionHello my dear fellows,Role Play Convention1 year ago in Personal More Like This
sorry for not catching up comments and faves at the moment. The "Role Play Convention" is coming and i have some things to prepare.
I´m working currently on a digital testart for Paizo (publisher of "Pathfinder"). The artdirector will be there for talentscouting (like in the years before) and she told me last time to draw an iconic character as testart.
I can tell you: it´s a lot of work! Paizos Iconics are very..very...VERY detailed. Nevertheless - i like them! I love details and i can get lost in the hours of painting my choosen one.
So, every fav and comment is very appreciatet but i don´t know if i have time to answer before the fair.
If you visit me at the RPC, you can win art!
I got my marketing materials yesterday and i´m happy about how they came out! Wanna see?
I ordered my very first artbooks (to introduce me to customers and publishers) and buisness-postcards! I

I had my second (AND LAST) daughter in January, so I am right now juggling a 23 month old maniac child and a 2 month old, and it leaves exactly no time for my work and no time for this journal entry as she is climbing on my desk now... I will be back at some point when they start school lol...
Ookami (A deified wolf in Japanese Mythology)There are some animals and creatures in Japanese mythology. Almost of them are servants of gods. For example, foxes are servants of Inari-shin, who is a god of harvest.Ookami (A deified wolf in Japanese Mythology)2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Only two creatures took part in a category of gods -that is to say, wolves and snakes-.
Chichibu had been the most active area of a faith to wolves.
Long time ago, Yamato-Takeru-no-Mikoto [日本武尊] (who is one of heroes in Japanese mythology) went on an expedition. But when he went through in the deep forest of Chichibu [秩父] mountains, it was in a dense fog and he lost his way. Then, one white wolf appeared in front of him. The white wolf walked a head of him and guided to the outside of the forest. He escaped the deep forest at last.
Yamato-Takeru-no-Mikoto greatly appreciated a help of a white wolf. He constructed a shrine. The wolf which helped him was joined in a group of gods. The god of the wolf was called "Ooguchi-no-Magami [大口真神]". (It means "a g

Expiration DateI love the Team Fortress 2 short movies. They're like little Pixar films......just with violence, blood, dismemberment and a general disregard for health, safety and human life.Expiration Date1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Usually they're quite brief, but the latest to surface is a whole 15 minutes. Positively feature-length!
It's making me want to revisit those TF2 "auxiliary units" I designed a couple of years back.
SlendermaidsI only really click on the thumbnails that appear on DA’s front page if they look good. I think most people do. A couple of days ago, there was a fabulous pencil-rendered image that caught my eye. I clicked on it, looked at it, admired the work, added the artist to my watch list and then noticed the minor anatomical flaw.Slendermaids1 year ago in Personal More Like This
It was a simple error, one probably born from a mix of the figure’s position on the page and the artist being so eager to start working the image up that they began before double-checking their construction lines (if they use them at all).
My mind, working in the way it does, saw a funny cartoon in it, and, me being me, I drew it, posted it and fully accept the consequences of it and the reaction of the audience, good or bad.
A little while later, another idea popped into my head. This one inspired purely by the concept of long-armed mermaids and the cartoon I had drawn, not the minor flaw in another artist’s quality work.
(This is how inspiration wo

Inspiring GamesI’ve been asked to list which video/computer games I like. I actually compiled a list a while back, with the intention of writing something slightly lengthier than a journal update.Inspiring Games1 year ago in Personal More Like This
The list is not so much what I think are good games – games age and some of them now play like a dog – but they are titles that most inspired me. They either introduced me to new concepts or changed how I saw things.
I won’t go into detail on why each was important to me (that’ll take too long to write!) but if you’re familiar with both my work and these titles, you’ll probably spot where I picked up certain things from.
(Listed in the order of which I first played them)
Cops and Robbers (C64)
The Last Ninja (C64)
Spy vs Spy 2 (C64)
Sonic the Hedgehog (Megadrive)
Sim City (Mac)
Prince of Persia (Mac)
Diggers (Amiga CD32)
Monkey Island 2 (Mac)
TIE Fighter (PC)
Alone in the Dark (PC)
Ultima Underworld (PC)

"Explicit Pornography"?! Aw, jeez, guys. You must have the worst collection of porn on the planet to think that was explicit.
A 90s Rochelle Swanson outing was more explicit that that pic, and that stuff got aired, uncut, on terrestrial UK TV (god bless you Channel 5, you made the young Jack jolly).
I believe that, for something to be labelled "explicit", SOMETHING must be visibly going in SOMEWHERE. Such was not the case in the offending image,
In case you didn't know...I was really happy to see people discussing and helping each other understand SOPA and PIPA in the journal comments yesterday. I noticed some comments that asked the same things so here's some quick information:In case you didn't know...3 years ago in Personal More Like This
If you don't know what SOPA does, dA has actually provided a great journal explaining the bill and the consequences http://hq.deviantart.com/journal/Join-a-SOPA-and-PIPA-debate-280023798?utm_source=deviantart&utm_medium=header&utm_campaignebateSOPA_011712 and this website has a lot of information on how to protest against it http://americancensorship.org/ The fight is not over yet!
No, my journal and icon wasn't really censored. It's to show what would happen if the bill became law.
This one is a bit annoying. Quite a few people were saying "People, stop jumping on bandwagons to be cool!" Or "Why is everyone talking about it now instead of when it first came out? You only care because it's a trend now? I new about it way back in 2011." Um, excuse me, but please don't live in
FailureWell, this is awkward.Failure3 years ago in Personal More Like This
So, I guess my plan had some minor flaws. Namely that when you tie up deviantART staff with yarn and lock them in their office supply closet, they can use scissors and letter openers to break free. I even put a mirror on the inside of the door to confuse them! How did they know that was the way out? They're some smart humans.
They broke free, activated their laser pointers, and regained control of the servers and databases while we were dreadfully distracted. Now, everything is back to normal on deviantART. Worst of all, they said we "were very, very bad" and that they were "disappointed in us". That guilt is hard to live with, my friends.
We're back to drawing board now. No, we won't give up hope of total world domination. We're so close, I can feel it! Watch out, world! This isn't the last you'll see of FUR.
But world domination will have to wait until another day. Who's ready for a cat nap?

Yes, we're back on the gun-debate-thing. And this time the pro-gun crowd are pissing me off because they've set in motion a chain of events that will stifle the potentially fabulous ability to transfer what you create on your computer into the real world.
The man behind it harps on about liberty being his motivation for doing it.
Liberty has to be tempered with responsibility, otherwise you just have anarchy. Using new technology to build a gun doesn't make you a champion for freedom, it makes you an attention seeking moron who gives the powers-that-be REASON to restrict it. They will now do everything the can to prevent the proliferation of the technology. They
Last chicken in Sainsbury's“Dirty Bird”, a fried chicken vendor in Wales, has been forced to defend its choice in logo:Last chicken in Sainsbury's10 months ago in Personal More Like This
Some rather prudish individuals have complained that it looks a mite dubious, while the owner of Dirty Bird has insisted that people are seeing what they want to see, and not what was intended.
It is claimed that the logo is simply the lower case initials of the company placed back to back in order to form the neck and wings of a cockerel.
Seeing one of Dirty Bird’s recent promotional images, however; one might be given cause to doubt their professed innocence.
And people ask why I like living on this spiteful little island
Japanese Dogs 1 (Akita)Japanese Dogs 1 (Akita)2 years ago in Personal More Like This
A Kai Dog's photo which I submitted the last week got good reviews. So, I wrote about Japanese Dogs in the new journal.
Japanese Dogs are traditional hunting dogs in Japan. They are categorized in Spitz type as Spitz, Husky, Samoyed, Malamute and so on.
There are 6 type of Japanese Dogs now. Akita [ 秋田 ], Kishu [ 紀州 ], Shikoku [ 四国 ], Hokkaido [ 北海道 ], Kai [ 甲斐 ] and Shiba [ 柴 ]. The biggest dogs are Akita, the smallest dogs are Shiba. Size of Kishu, Shikoku, Hokkaido and Kai are the middle of Akita and Shiba. They are originally hunting dogs which adopted themselves to Japanese climate and geography.
Japan has conspicuous four seasons. Japanese summer is not only hot but also very humid as Tropical Zones. Therefore they Japanese Dogs are "heat summer proof" dogs more than other dogs of Spitz type.
They have a tough body and well-developed muscles, especially four legs grow well, bec
