ok so I finnaly got this finnished and man does it have a lot of detail compaired to the rest of my peices. The clothing is all crosshatched to give the appearence of woven clothing/leather. The fur is all textured and fluffeh and and ... I really want to win.
I think I've spent a total of 2 months working on this picture, which besides my comic pages is the longest I've spent on any other picture.
I know I wont get 1st judging by some of the other pictures I've seen, but I'm really hoping for at least second... but third would be just as awsome
any way wish me luck and thank you to all who gave me critique tips on the WIP
This is my contribution for the contest. I was really in a rush, because I started very late (two days ago). This was done in Photoshop and Painter (mostly overpainted photos with some additional painted elements). I made a photo of my kitchen and washing machine for this and also used the stock from this contest. Working time was between 18 and 20 hours, I think.
Edit: Wow, my fourth DD! Thanks a lot to Astralseed and wdwparksgal for chosing and also thanks to all you people for your nice comments!
The Seneschal had been afraid to turn against the Brotherhood Cabal, but his sense of honour and duty allowed him no other option. He rejected the Cabal's beliefs that the people must be controlled through intimidation and suffering, witnessing in horror that those he had sworn to protect starved while the Brotherhood grew fat. In his disgust and despair, the Seneschal turned his back on the Brotherhood, taking with him only a tiny, stolen seed of hope. He dared not dream of the day when there would be no more cruel and violent subjugation, because the Cabal controlled the dreaming world as well as the waking world. But in the space between dreams, he was free, bearing with him the tender fruits of the hope that he had nurtured. There was still time...
Ammit is female but I totally dig manes and it would look so bland without it. The lion part of her is sometimes substituted with a cheetah but brute strength appealed to me more than speed. Also, HIP-HOP-O-POTAMUS LEGS LOL!
The only things that could have made this the ultimate destroyer from Africa would be: Black Mamba, (flying) Great White Shark, and Ebola.
Some say that the Fire God Ho-Masubi was the most violent of the gods. Known for burning empires to the ground, he was feared by all. He would travel at rapid speeds, leaving a trail of destruction behind him. His bellow would strike fear into the prey, and crush all hope within. Using the power of fire and his cunning wits, he crafted the most powerful weapons, and within them, the essence of flames.
Although blind, he would hunt his prey by wildly slashing anything that stands before him. With claws that pierce like blades, Ho-Masubi not only kills, he destroys.
Again, made the story up, but apparently the name is the real japanese fire god. D: He wasn't always though, he was kind, giving warmth and light to the people, but violent when angered, known for burning down cities. D:
Got the pose from here. Not sure if it's copyrighted if I change how it looks, though. Oh well. Never going to win anyway. xDD
BTW, not sure why I gave it gills. For fun, I guess. xDD
