Behind These (Green) Eyes
The morning sun peeked through the white laced curtains. It filled the room with the new start of another day as a girl was woken up by the alarm clock. It was one of those loud bell-ringing clocks, not a digital clock with loud/soft sound settings. She rose her hand to it and switched the alarm off. The warm bed covers she slept in was irresistible to sleep back into, but she had school that day so she didn't sleep in. She swung the covers off her body and got up with her legs on the edge of the bed. Shortly after, she reached up above shoulders, stretching them out as her fingers to the ceiling.
In the corner of her eye was a book that she liked since childhood. She can never seem to let go of it. She stood up and walked over to it in her soft green pajamas and placed her hand on the book's cover. It had a particular bird on the center, with many colors embedded into its feathers. It was like a rainbow flying across the sky. The time is now 7:3
