Entry for the Tomb Raider Contest.
Originally created in copic markers then colored in Photoshop. Boy, this was a doozy of a project. Phew.

I also did a second entry.

Created 3-13-13.

This is my second entry, it took me ages to come up with this one, but I managed to do it in time. Anyway I don't think I got a chance with all those awesome entries but this was fun to do :D

My entry for the Tomb Raider Reborn Competition...I don't think I've ever spent so much time on one image, but it was fun doing it.

My entry for the Tomb Raider Reborn contest. The finished size should print at 18"x 24" at 300 dpi. I spent an ungodly amount of time on this thing. I wanted to capture a sense of danger and foreboding. I used Photoshop CS2 and an Intuos 3 tablet. I used only the standard brushes. I was inspired by the cave scene from the game. I was interested by dramatic lighting, hopefully I captured some of that. I asked permission from Jenn Croft to use her photos as reference (Thanks Jenn!). I wound up not using them because I felt I couldn't improve on what she has created. I used a DAZ studio mannequin for pose and lighting reference. I'm against doing paint-overs, so I just used it for anatomy reference. I'm amazed by the number of quality entries, good luck to everyone!

Challenged myself to try to recreate the original artwork. Nothing is taken from the original artwork other than the character.
