If I had a time machine...Ya know if I had a time machine I'd be using it right now to find out when that blasted lego order of mine would get here because it still isn't here yet. As of right now I'm on fall break at my school, which means I'm off for the next four days. Now I called lego today and gave them my tracking number, and from what I can tell my order was shipped from Connecticut on the 26th of Sept. and is currently in New Jersey. Right now I'm a little tempted to hop in my corvette and floor it all the way to New Jersey and snatch it up at the post office and run away like some evil villain. MWUAHAHAHAHA *ahem* As of now I'm not too sure what I'll be posting this weekend. I have a few ideas but haven't settled on anything as of yet. I just want my order. Guess I'll go back to playing the backlog of games I haven't finished yet.If I had a time machine...3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Not dead, but I got great news!Hi guys. Sorry for the lack of updates, but my "wonderful" teachers at school decided to go medieval on my ass this week with 4 tests and 3 papers to write up. But that's all in the past now so it's time to get back to work. Since I didn't post anything last weekend and probably not anything this weekend; because of schoolwork, I'm gonna grind through this weekend getting a little something prepared for you all this up coming thanksgiving week. What I have in mind is that my school break starts this upcoming Wednesday and runs til Sunday, so I figured I'd add something new to the gallery each day. That's five days of new lego material! This doesn't mean there is going to be little content either, oh no. Also I got my new camera last week and I am loving every minute using it (SO SHINY)! Thats all for now, have a great weekend! Not dead, but I got great news!3 years ago in Personal More Like This
So much this weekend! ^^Well everyone it's that time again. Time for some awesome new models and minifigures. This week I've got a revamped version of my Lightning Dragon. I've also got three new minifigures lined up for you as well. All of which bare the style of the samurai. The first minifigure is the lowest class of them all, the Ghost. The next up is the Raiden model. Lastly is Raijingeki of the Bushido class. Each one sports different traits and attributes. On a side note, you'll start seeing more minifigures like Raijingeki in the near future. I plan on using this new type of model frame as much as possible. It's given me so many more new possibilities than its predecessor. Now for next week I have five new minifigures already done. All that needs to be done is for them to be uploaded. For now check out this weeks newest models below, and as always leave a comment and drop a fav if you like. Until next weekend everyone, I bid you adieu. ^^So much this weekend! ^^3 years ago in Personal More Like This

A small talk about pricing your artYou're creating art. You have the passion, you have the skills. Why not make some money out of it then? It's a good idea, right? A lot of people live from creating art, and even more earn some money on the side by taking commissions. You should give it a shot!A small talk about pricing your art2 years ago in Personal More Like This
So... How much money is your art worth?
It's a hard question to answer for those who are just starting their adventure with selling and creating art for money. Is its worth equal to the price of the materials you used? Is it equal to the value of the time you've spent on creating it? What about the emotional value you put into it? Should your education influence your prices?
No matter if art is your job, hobby or a pastime, you should never undervalue it. In this article I will try to give some tips as to how assess the value of your artwork and touch the problem of too low prices.
We're in it for the money.
Let's be honest - if you're reading this then you probably want
Party PoopersRussian politicians really like trying to associate cultural elements that they personally don’t like with things that are universally frowned upon, in the hope that the latter poisons the former in the public's view.Party Poopers9 months ago in Personal More Like This
During the lead up to the Winter Olympics in February, for example, while large gentlemen with flails were beating the sh*t out of small, female protesters, Putin seemed to make a great effort to always mention homosexuals and paedophiles in the same sentence, as though the two were somehow linked.
I’m not suggesting that politicians elsewhere in the world don’t pull the same trick in order to rally a hysterical mob in their favour, but the Russians do it with all the subtlety of a brick.
In what I’m assuming is less an effort to protect the fragile psyche of Russia’s youth and more an attempt to thwart another dastardly Western concept (namely f

As a resident of these isles, I can tell you that the general atmosphere surrounding the vote is a bit…..”meh”.
This is kind of alarming. It’s a big f**king deal for both sides of the border and people should be paying a little more attention, especially up in Scotland, since it’s they who will determine what transpires.
My opinion on the matter is that unity brings strength, but people have a right to decide their own future and if the Scots feel they’re better off going solo then they should vote “Yes”.
However, I feel that those behind the calls for independence (the same people who will hold power with a “yes” vote) are playing on an opportunity presented to them by the economic downturn between 2008 and now. It’s made their sales pitch much more enticing to those whose finances were shaken over the last 6 years by evil forces in London (naturally, they don
Keep your fingers crossed for me!Hey guys. It's me. Remember me? Yay cool! I'm still job hunting and it's wearing me out and I'm just gonna ask you for a little favour to keep your fingers crossed for me! I sent out a ton of applications and everything's still in for me and I JUST WANT A JOB. As soon as possible! A nice one with decent payment. Doesn't have to be millions. I just wanna get by. Move into my own little flat and all. Make a nice and safe little living for a while. Is that too much to ask? It can't be too much to ask!Keep your fingers crossed for me!1 year ago in Personal More Like This
So please! Send me some good vibes and/or thoughts, pray for me... whatever it is that you want to do! I really just need some spiritual help of some sort since my own spirit has been pretty low over the past weeks and my mind is going crazy again due to all that future anxiety I once again have to deal with.
I also took a little job at a clothing store in the city! Nothing to make a living off, oh no, but still. It keeps me busy for at least a few days per week, it's super fun and I
well thats just Prime...Finally got my new art program.well thats just Prime...1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Messed with it and messed with it.
Had it four days. FOUR DAYS!
On the fourth day last night... the powercord to my computer died.
I just can't win... eh...
I've got a medical payment due tomorrow so I can't afford to get a new one till next payday...
So no computer till further notice.
So gonna be no news from me till next month.
Atleast I have internet on my phone.
Bought a Duracell powercord. Poured my tip jar in one of those coin counters to get money for it. This works far better than the old one. This one doesn't seem to get hot at all. So yay! Art again.
Still alive!I AM! I AM ALIVE! STILL ALIVE! Still no commissions, though. While I could REALLY use the money, I don't feel like drawing AT ALL these days. Even with my internship being over I still have no motivation and it suuuuucks. I better get out of this slump pretty soon, meh. I miss making art, I miss my characters, I miss it all!Still alive!1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I'm also job hunting again. Hooray. So done with internships, you have no idea. It's about time for a REAL job. One that gets paid properly. I have plans for the future, guys. I NEED SOME MONEY FOR MY PLANS.
Still happy with the BF! My personal life has been really amazing since the start of 2014 and I hope it'll continue being amazing. For now though, I'm looking forward to this Summer. Oh yeah, I do!
How have YOU been, guys? Tell me, I'd love to hear!
How to interview a politician.A tiny snippet from Jeremy Paxman's interview with Silvio Berlusconi. How to interview a politician.1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Some might not know who Berlusconi is: he's a media tycoon, 3 time Prime Minister of Italy and is generally regarded as the face of political vice and corruption in Europe.
Many won't know who Paxman is: he's the brick that the BBC throw at people like Berlusconi. His questions being so blunt that it's nigh on impossible to wriggle out of answering them without looking more of a prat than you did at the start.
I'm pretty sure that Paxman also hates that fact that you, whoever you are, share the same planet as him:
These aren't outtakes. This stuff airs
Diluting QualityBioshock Infinite was one of the few games I’ve completed and been quite happy to immediately start again from the beginning. So good was the story and immersive the universe it crafted that it was a joy to replay again and again.Diluting Quality1 year ago in Personal More Like This
It had that quality so rarely found in interactive entertainment: a satisfying end.
With most games striving to be epics, we’re usually left with the developers leaving the door wide open for a sequel that may never materialise, and no ending at all, or just a crap boss battle followed by the credits to act as a marker for when and where the budget ran out.
Bioshock Infinite had genuine closure and had given you all the information you needed over the course of the game to answer any lingering questions yourself.
It was a perfect, stand-alone product.
And then Burial At Sea comes along.
I was delighted at the thought of returning to Rapture and spending more time with Booker and Elizabeth, but now, having play
37 DaysI thought the BBC had lost its touch when it comes to drama, what with the cancellation (temporary, it now seems) of Ripper Street and the generally abysmal writing of a plethora of recent prime-time series, but they’re back on form with the 3 part 37 Days.37 Days1 year ago in Personal More Like This
It follows a number of politicians, particularly those of the British and German governments, in the days between the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and the outbreak of hostilities in 1914.
The concept may sound rather dry, but watching the intricate lattice of alliances, treaties and family ties that existed across Europe 100 years ago crumble into war made for some rather tense drama.
If you’re a fan of either history or political thrillers (or fantastic moustaches), it’s highly worth a watch.
It is a little chilling to see how quickly things can fall apart.
BTW: The crisis in Ukraine started 16 days ago with the removal of President Yanukovych……just saying

"What kind of punishment is that?" some may ask. Gardening is supposedly therapeutic.
Not my garden.

Flatline.I’m not gonna lie. The 8th series of the revived Doctor Who has, so far, been a steaming pile of crap. Not through any fault of the actors. Capaldi is brilliant as The Doctor. It’s just the stories have been incredibly poor. It was like Russell T Davis had returned to the writing duties.Flatline.10 months ago in Personal More Like This
Things brightened up a bit last week with “Mummy on the Orient Express”, which would have been great had the titular express been the ACTUAL express rather than an entirely unnecessary futuristic version travelling through deep space.
Tonight’s episode, “Flatline”, by comparison to the eight episodes that preceded it, was a work of goddamn art. Brilliant! Utterly brilliant! It’s unfathomable as to how all the other trashy stories were greenlit when this gem of a tale was also in the mix.
I shan’t say anything more, and I urge people not to post any spoilers, but it is without a doubt this series’ “Blink”. It's worth wading through
Need for ToleranceFrom Reddit:Need for Tolerance4 years ago in Personal More Like This
(This is pretty obvious so I didn't think I need to point it out but it seems that some people need to hear it: No, I don't think all religious people are like this. Yes, I do know these are extreme cases. But the point is that these are all recent events and we shouldn't live in a world where this kind of intolerance still exists. I've lost count the number of times that I've been harassed by Christians so the next time you see someone picking on gay people, saying atheists should be killed, don't be a bystander and just let it happen. Speak up. Stop a crime before it happens.)
Coming Back!Thank you everyone who has supported me and given me their valuable advice about how to deal with my family situation in China. I'm happy to say that my father and I are on much better terms now. It's honestly more than I could ever have hoped for and I haven't been this happy in a long time.Coming Back!1 year ago in Personal More Like This
The comments you guys left really helped me believe in myself. Thanks to everyone's encouragement, I know I wasn't in the wrong. I was able to firmly explain my problems with my father. It took many long and heated discussions before we finally came to an understanding but it was definitely worth it. He eventually admitted that he was wrong, and shouldn't have brushed me aside as being "too bothersome" or not worth angering his crazy wife for. He said he regrets the way he treated me, and has promised to try to visit me once a year. It's really hard to put into words how much that means to me, and I truly thank you all for helping me get to this point.
I read in the comments that many have e
Russian politics: the art of flimsy excuses. On the whole, believe there’s a difference between the people that run a country and the rest of the people who live within its borders. Politicians, regardless of where in the world they hail from, are generally bullies. You have to be a special kind of egomanic, self-serving prick to claw your way into a position where you have the power to put other people in harm’s way to benefit your own agenda. The only difference geography seems to bring is a level of subtlety. British politicians are slimy and insidious, American politicians rely on drama and theatre, and as we’ve seen over the last couple of days: Russian politicians are obsessed with proving they carry the biggest stick, at the expense of everything else.Russian politics: the art of flimsy excuses.1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Of course, in order to prove you have a big stick, you have to actually use it. That’s quite difficult in this day and age. A couple of hundred years ago, a master of a people could just point to a spot on the map, say “Want!” and his army
Coming OutIt's true, I am Chinese and I was born this way.Coming Out3 years ago in Personal More Like This
At a young age I began to notice this difference. I was attracted to neither boys nor girls. In middle school, I liked math, and in college, I did my homework all night long.
Being Chinese is not a choice, it is genetic. There are risks to being Chinese because society cannot accept the union between a human and a textbook. I have Chinese friends who didn't need sex because they could foreplay instruments and get screwed by O Chem instead. Now, they don't have a social life and are shunned by others.
But fear not, life will get better. I grew up as a Chinese and I am proud of it (just look at my tumblr user name Maid-en-China ). There is the LGBTC (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Chinese) community to help you be comfortable with your Chinese orientation.
1,338,299,512 people came out as Chinese. You are not alone.

RIP - H.R. GigerKooky Swiss artist and master of f**ked-up imagery, H.R. Giger, has died: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-27390345RIP - H.R. Giger1 year ago in Personal More Like This
His work was brought to prominence, obviously, by the design of the titular Alien in Ridley Scott’s film, but he was also more or less the godfather of “biomechanical” science fiction/horror illustration.
I can’t say I was ever a real fan of his work. Most of it made my flesh crawl. It was art, but it was utterly repulsive.
Why mention his passing, then? Well, love or hate his style, its effect on the science fiction/horror genres is undeniable, and they wouldn’t be the same without him.
