The Nature of ArtAfter speaking with some friends and reading some of the responses to my journal of yesterday, I came to a bit of a realization, and would like to share.
Art, to me, is the end result of giving your soul a voice, a face, a story – a vehicle if you will – to go forward into the world. We, as artists, give birth to our creations not as a mechanical process of conveyor belts, cogs and circuit boards. It is, sometimes, a painful and organic process to give birth to the initial spark or impulse which originated in the depths of our soul. An artist does not create to simply create – it is our burden to find a means to convey the majesty of an idea that floats to the surface of our subconscious.
Having come to this realization, I find myself a bit more at ease with my work, and the prospect of how others may react to it. No, my computer does not have the ideas for a picture! (Those grow inside my head... sometimes they are there all the sudden... sometimes it is a process...)

No, my computer does not morph characters all by itself. (I am so picky. I hate the standard base morphs and I spend hours on my characters faces and bodies.)

No, my computer does not create the skin textures of my characters all by itself. (It takes hours to create skin textures, some of them I even made from scratch, without merchant resources.)

No, my computer does not set up all the goddamn lights. (That is me... So many times I feel like a virtual photographer and I can actually spend hours on getting a scene lit.)

My computer knows nothing about composition. (I do however, because not only that I have learned it but I also simply FEEL it.)

Werewolf: the Apocalypse 20th Anniversary Edition~Torakhan has important information to all WtA fans:
"So, who else here is super-psyched about W20?
For those unaware, They* are making a 20th Anniversary Edition of Werewolf: the Apocalypse, much like they did for Vampire: the Masquerade.
A "Prestige" Edition of the book will be produced through a KickStarter drive SOON (leatherette-cover, special embossment, and that sort of stuff)...
After that, the PDF and Print-on-Demand versions will be available through DriveThruRPG at http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/
W20 attempts to take the best of the "essence" of Werewolf, strips it down to most of its mechanics that were scattered throughout many books and editions and tries to bring it into one massive (430+ pages) book that has most of the Revised metaplot stripped out and sort of sets the clock back to 2nd Edition, but updates the mechanics and setting to "today" and updates some of the mechanics as well.

Not necessarily, though I would highly recommend it if you want realistic/semi-realistic results. While you could technically model/sculpt it all yourself, that would be a total crapload of work and highly expensive, especially since the best tool for high quality modeling (Maya) starts at around four thousand dollars. In first line I am saying that I am not professional in this, so don't take my words now like 100% goods. I am talking about my own experiences of bad artists and bad clients both.

There are many strange or suspicious clients out there who would do many things to win free art, sketch from artists without paying them.
The best way to put yourself on the safe side if you handle the new clients with a certain amount of distance. Not trust in any client 100% even if they are very sweet and kind or even maybe they show signs that they never worked with artist before, so a bit shy or uncertain.
As an artist be professional; always kind with your clients and patient with them and don't make troubles if your client wish changes in your concepts. About the Username Change and the Imeji CheinjiI never believed that name change would exist due to many valid reasons, but yet, they made it. Honestly, I've been wanting to change my name since long time. I'm in no ties or any desire with "Pearl" in any way which I named it when I was quite young. Also that name makes me sick sometimes- so a new name change is going to be a great, refreshing start.
So, yes I do plan to change name yet my icon will remain not changed to keep people to recognize me. And here I want to write a journal about being really careful, be smart and think twice if we decide to change name: to not cause that kind of trend where "Oh I got bored with that name, lemme change onto another" and making a'la Japan's trend of changes known as imeji cheinji.

You know what makes me sick and tired?
Double standards.
Why is it ok to depict nude women, sometimes quite blatantly (those make it on the front page…), but if you show MALE nudity… some people get their panties in a twist.
I get a lot of positive feedback, don't get me wrong. My watchers are cool and overall very nice and they watch me for a reason... I mean, look at my gallery... men, men and even more men, dressed and (half) naked men.
BUT then there is those people that have never even talked to me before... they send me notes, try to tell me how to do MY art, telling me I create porn and that naked men are ugly... I instantly delete shit like that, otherwise I would have a fPenis1 year ago in Personal
