On the Sea Beneath the SkyGolden flickers danced on the pale faces of the circle, hushed whispers wafting out from the gathering by the glowing coals. It was the third night of the coming-of-age, the no-longer-little ones from each of the surrounding tribes taken out together in the openness of the untamed world. There were a few in the group that stood out, discernible even in the thick coverings of the night. There was Jiu-yeil, son of the carpenters, impressive form already bulging with strength and muscle more fitting of a man twice his size. The brothers, Senniare and Elieten of cloth-maker, sat donned in simple but the finest of all their travelling robes. And very slightly apart from the throng of a dozen others was the quiet Meiella, orphaned as an infant, niece of medicine woman.
The air was cool, but the wind only light. As the flames burned low, a tall figure stepped out of the shadowsOch'jiana, the leader of the rite. She was neither old nor young, hair pulled back in the habit of the femal

Before the sun has risen over the valleys
Where we used to walk hand in hand,
Talking about the future,
Our lives stretching out behind us like foot prints in the sand.
Know in your heart that I am safe and I am well.
And when loneliness comes knocking,
Please don’t think that I have just disappeared.
I told you, I would love you forever.
That is a promise I know that I will keep
Because even after I am gone,
You still know where to find me,
The place in your heart that you carved just for me.
Please don’t be angry, I did not want to leave.
I know these days will be hard,
And I can no longer be there to wipe away your tears
But please stay strong my love, please don’t disappear.
When times are tough, think of all the that memories we made,
But also know that it’s fine to fall in love again.
Don’t let my memory rule you,
Live your life to the full,
But know that I will never leave you,
And that in som

Turn the gray
Into a bright, vibrant landscape.
Illuminate the darkness
Create a beautiful world
With my mind.
I would be satisfied
If I could make
Just one square inch of the earth
A gust of calamity shall sweep across the earth.
Each creation will be seen in it's true light.
I wish to create beautiful things
Though it may be sad
Driven by anger,
It is also driven by
And a never-dying hope

black holes that you bore into my being and very core as
my spirit surrendered to your summons long before
I am an ocean of stark emptiness and

You leave and I break into

Memories of starry night, air on the g string and

No matter the nebulae and speed of light,
no matter there be an earth or home to return to or not,
you are for always where I end and
In you is my equinox and

The SnowIf you spent your whole life travelling the world, tasting exotic foods, drinking foreign wine and living in extraordinary places, you would never come across a place quite like Aeveryn. To the traders that pass with their loaded carts or the road-weary travellers who stop in for a night, it seems nothing more than another of those ordinary little settlements that spring up around the place, big enough to thrive and grow but small enough that everyone to know everyone else and every new arrival founds themselves friends of the whole town within days. But what held Aeveryn apart, were its stories. Every town has them, but for Aeveryn it was different. Starting from a single raconteur, one could spread in a single day, and by the end of the week every child will have heard it with rapt attention and every adult be reciting it with their own vivacious retelling. Instead of slowly fading away into dusty memory, each tale would stay alive and so, generations later, parents wouThe Snow4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

To seek and know, what is wrong and right.
Every sight has a vision, every vision has a dream.
And every dream has a future, to find, to fight.
Every face has an ear, every ear hears a tale,
Of good and bad, success or fail.
Every tale has an end, every end has a hope,
And every hope can live no matter fire or hail.
Every face has a heart, every heart has a soul,
To lead the world to that one last goal.
Every soul has a voice, to speak and to trust,
And every voice, is one of us.

I'm sure you all know,
About a lovely little woman
And her Mr. Scarecrow.
It all began
In a small town like any other.
Where our main characters lived:
A little girl, her father, and her mother.
The family lived
In a small farmhouse,
In a tiny little town
[Yes, fit for a mouse].
The children who lived there
Were very close-knit,
But when Tabby wanted to join
Her father threw a fit.
He would sit her down
And tell her ever so nicely,
"You don't need friends,
All you need is family."
Then, little Tabitha
Would walk to her shelf
And play with her toys...
All by herself.
Her mother was the only one
Who noticed Tabby's loneliness.
She was the only one
Who understood her stress.
She tried her best
To distract Tabby's mind.
They played games
Like pretend and search and find.
Sometimes Tabby's mother
Would teach her new things:
Like sewing, and farming, and working with hay,
[The basics for living a pretty nice life]
So that maybe, just maybe, on one fateful day,
Tabby just migh

Have found childhood hell,
Dueled teachers in classroom chambers,
have eyes like cynical searchlights,
never got to university,
Be filled with highbrow metaphors
and have an air of pretentiousness,
look like the God of GQ,
have a dark beard,
(or and drug problem will do),
openly confess small problems daily
(even though your life is fantastic),
Have subtlety border to non-existent,
find yourself in parties
of similar minded arrogants
who attack you with waves of
while swirling champagne
in a quartz glass while
wondering why its not diamond.
You must despise your pen,
value your work as sewage,
spew every ounce of melodrama
on to your symbol-filled paper,
Feign interest in fans,
have a mental disorder
(if too hard to achieve, pretend you are
plagued with imaginary problems;
this will give you a tragic canvas
to paint your life on,
this helps sell books).
Do all of this,
and the glorious world

It's More Than ThatIt’s More Than ThatIt's More Than That2 years ago in Songs & Lyrics More Like This
Writing is more than pulling words out of the sky,
And putting them together ‘cause they sound pretty,
It’s more than something to do than to just “pass the time,”
The art of writing is meant to be done purposely,
Not blindly; only trying to unite words that sound beauteous,
It is another means of expression, a form of communication,
A way I can communicate about things that are otherwise difficult to discuss,
It is an externalization of internalized emotions;
Think of writing as a woman,
Where it’s not only about the outside,
But more importantly, the inward,
It’s not only about her smile, but her mind,
So when I write; think of it as such,
Because I write, not to have my words sound attractive,
But to express the ugly truth the inhabits every one of us,
And that’s how it will always be with me, and I’ll never sugarcoat it

It just strikes a nerve, the thought of you out with another man
Holding his hand

Maybe you think I'm happier

I'm not smiling 'cause I'm happy, no
I'm smiling 'cause I'm tired of being sad.

We just haven't made it yet
But we'll feel it
