Chapter 9:
My Reason

Adamma continued to lead the gang to the trouble making Pokémon.

"We're almost there, meh!" Adamma stated with pride for the fact that she got them here so quickly.
"Wonderful!" Gen cheered happily.

Kaeomon stared at a large building commenting on how big it was.

"I've never seen a building this big before chipa!" She said her eyes filled with wonder.
"Neither have I!!!" Kaida agreed his eyes sparkling with joy and delight.

Soon the Pokémon that made the deal with the ghost type jumped down from a roof using shadow claw and missed.

"How rude!" Ai started. "Teach it some manner Aiko by using Ice Beam!"
"YES MILADY!!!" Aiko yelled while forming the attack.

Aiko blasted it at the cat like Pokémon and froze her.

"You wanted me to freeze her, correct milady?" Aiko asked pointing at the frozen cat Pokémon.
"Yes, that is correct." Ai nodded gently.

The Pokémon broke free and huge ice shards were sent flying everywhere! One of which nearly hitting Kaida but Gen quickly grabbed hold of him and teleported away from the ice chunks.

"DID YOU SERIOUSLY THINK THAT'D SLOW ME DOWN?!?!" She yelled.

Just then Adamma raced toward the Pokémon and was yelling: "MAMA!!!!!" at the top of her hyper lungs.

"Adamma! You're ok!" The attacking Pokémon cried and hugged the Skitty then glared at the group. "But what are you doing with these filthy humans?!"
"They caught that naughty Pachirisu mom!" Adamma explained.

Kaeomon looked at them and gave them a tilt of the head showing confusion…she wasn't that bad was she?

"I can see that but I could care less!" The Pokémon "hmph"ed while looking away. "Especially after what they did to me!"

Gen and Kaida were looking down at the cat like Pokémon and Gen was sucked inside the Pokémon's memories…seeing…hearing…smelling…and feeling everything the Pokémon did in the past with her memories.

The Pokémon was beat up and dirty and a human girl went up to her and petted her gently.

"Hello there little one." The human girl said gently.

Soon the memory changed and the Pokémon was the human girl's partner Pokémon and challenged the last gym before the Elite Four. The girl chose her partner first.
The memory changed again…there was a rainbow after a rain and they were looking up at the building that held the Elite Four  with the rainbow in front…it was a beautiful sight to see.
Again the memory changed and after her partner failed to beat the elite four…she released the Pokémon! But the Pokémon kept trying to follow her, eventually the female called her a monster and said she'd better leave her alone. The Pokémon was confused. It thought the trainer loved her….but…the trainer explained that she was only using her.

Gen was snapped back to reality and what she saw was the Pokémon attacking everyone and the gang fighting back. Gen quickly teleported between them.

"WAIT!!!" Gen cried stretching her arms out. "She has a right to be angry!!!"
"What right is that, Chiiii!!!!!!" Kaeomon yelled with sparks flying out of her cheeks.
"She had a wonderful bond with her master…that was broken by her master for no reason!"
"You…you heard my cry…and I heard yours…my name is-." The Pokémon began.
"Princess. I know…" Gen smiled.
"Then I suppose I should spare you…you've had a rough life as well…"
"Please…" Ai started, "why do you attack us Princess…?"
"Ai…she fears rejection and loneliness…" Gen answered.
"Those are good reasons to hate our kind…but the people you see before you would never do such a thing! I promise!"
"That's what they all say." Princess "hmph"ed again and looked away.
"Please Princess! When I was released they took me in!" Gen pleaded.
"Why should I believe you?"
"Because we can give you a home and a family! Just like before!"

Princess stared into the eyes of Gen…and saw that this Pokémon before her…was just like her in many ways…but…she had something this Glameow didn't have…hope…in fact…Gen had a family and had friends….which is more than what Princess could say she had… Princess looked at the group…then her eyes fell upon her adopted child, Adamma…she was smiling really big and was rubbing against Michiko. Princess, with happy tears in her eyes, just simply smiled in response…a smile that claimed that she wanted to join.
