I could have enjoyed living like this -
The day was fair, neither hot nor cold,
I was sitting on his front porch
watching him, as he put the spare tire
on the front of my car.
His spine folded over and his pelvis looked compressed
I crossed my legs -
as my thighs slapped together
I could feel my hip joint roll around
in its carefully structured socket.
He threw the old flat tire on a small patch
of expired straw grass.
It landed next to an old bicycle
with crushed wheels
and as he came closer
I felt my intestines inflate,
absorbing his smile in their 7 metre walls.
Being sickened by the swelling
of my new potbelly,
I pulled my blue vest down
and covered my midriff with
the fancy new handbag
I had bought yesterday.
