INSPIRATION STATION - PILLEMASTER -INSPIRATION STATION - PILLEMASTER -1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Be sure to visit the gallery of this great artis and give all's 's 's that he deserve ! :iconpillemaster:
Tesselation StationInspiration Station last week focused on the current big cheese and uber-genius, `XyrusWorx for his incredible work in developing Apophysis 7x and many of it's plugins. Apophysis 7x is awesome, it's modern, it's smooth ... It is the Ferrari of fractal software ...Tesselation Station2 years ago in Personal More Like This
But if 7x is a Ferrari, there must be a Model T out there somewhere.
There is ...
When I started making fractals, a few years ago, I started by installing Apophysis 2.02. There were no post transforms, no xaos, no final transform and only 2 dimensions ...
In the intervening years all the things that Apo users take for granted and that make our artwork so awe inspiring were developed or thought of by one man ... ~Zueuk.
Every time a new Apo was released something new had been added and we have him to thank for pretty much all of it. He even invented the julian variation !!!
You may be wondering why Peter would spend so much time developing all these things, I think a look in his gallery will answer the questi

The Lengths We GoHey!The Lengths We Go10 months ago in Personal More Like This
It's Matthew here, with my first journal entry to the #printscommunity! I have a question I'd like to ask you all...
Monet said:
"I've spent so long on some paintings that I no longer know what to think of them, and I am definitely getting harder to please; nothing satisfies me..."
I have plenty of experience with what Monet is describing here. I once chipped away at a piece for over 3 years: rearranging it probably 15 times, shelving it twice, and cursing it an uncountable number of times. What I want to know is: Have others experienced this feeling of having a great idea slip further and further away... only to wrangle it back in, take it by the horns, and finish it?
Once completed, do these conquered artistic mountains mean something different to you than a piece that comes easily?
If your piece is online, post a link and tell us how you felt when you finally closed the book on it!
