Trying to figure out what to give your mom for Mother's Day? Get her a mind-controlling interstellar starfish! That's right, Starro the Conqueror needs a host and who better than your mom who's been on your back about that dirty room!

I created Starro out of a pair of large sterling silver starfish earrings, drilling out the center and inserting a clear optical bead with the inside hole painted black. This way the eye 'follows' you around as you look at it! The eyelids were other parts of sterling silver that were carved, buffed, and soldered on. A little bit of black detailing later and Starro the Conqueror was ready! Happy Mother's day Mom, heheheh...

Here's my 6 inch custom Marvel Legends style Inspector Gadget figure. I'll have a full strip uploaded soon and you'll be able to see all the different attachments including his radar, extendo-limbs, and gadget cannon!

He was made from a Watchemen DCD Rorschach body, figma-type character legs, DCU Question hat, custom sculpted head, and spawn Interlink fodder parts for arms. Normal arms are movie Doc Ock arms.

Shown here are the alternate arms inspired by Rubendevela's art here: That was some nice work!

The Son of Mephisto and unholy terror, Blackheart is quite possibly the most powerful supernatural villain in the Marvel Universe. This time I've created him as he's drawn in the 'Venom Circle of Four' storyline. This custom Blackheart Marvel Legends was made entirely from a Spiderman Infinite Legends Green Goblin build-a-figure. The head was resculpted, pants shaved off and resculpted, spikes added to the limbs, and over two hundred individual foam rubber spines attached to his head and back. Add a Spawn Demon bendy-tail and flame effect that came with one of the arms and Blackheart is ready to corrupt any hero that crosses his path!

My Jaxxon costume! Not actually complete, missing a few important design details, but this is version 1.0 that debuted at Dragoncon '14.

If you're unfamiliar, back right after the original Star Wars movie was released, Marvel attained the license for Star Wars comic books. They did a 100-issue run, beginning in 1977, and ending in the early 80's. This character, Jaxxon, is--while yes, obscure--somewhat of a legend/inside joke among Star Wars fans. He was actually one of the very earliest Expanded Universe characters, and he was a giant green anthropomorphic bunny rabbit. He only appears in the first 7 issues before legend has it that George Lucas himself demanded Jaxxon be axed from the canon. (And yet Jar Jar happened anyways.)

starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jaxxon

And you may be thinking that this looks an awful lot like Bucky O'Hare--but believe it or not, Jaxxon predates Bucky by at least 6 years. Jaxxon is the original giant green space bunny!

This costume was DEFINITELY not all me. This project has been a huge group project.

Patterning, sewing, and everything body-suit related is about 90% Larissa Supnik. She has really had so much to do with this project, I can't understate how much she's done. (And for lending me your DL-44!)
The belt and holsters: www.facebook.com/Ribbons.Rivet… I can't thank you both enough! <3
Armored collar: Greg Chase
Gloves: Chris Mueller

Additional thanks to alisakiss.deviantart.com/ for calming me down about the parts that weren't working and helping me get things under control. And for also not giving in to my requests to hot glue the original ears to my head LOL.
To Shea Leigh for the tip about tights!
And to Stephen Bellard for the magnet to keep the collar in place--sorry I didn't get it back to you before I left, but you were a SAVIOR!

I will be updating this costume more, with gold puffy parts on the boots, the shoulders, and the hips. And these ears are only temps--I have to remake the real deal because they were just too massive! I'm also likely going to get a more accurate pistol.

My design is an amalgam of a slew of different Jaxxon costume designs from various sources, the original comics and other artwork. I also made it a little bit more "Playboy Bunny-esque" because it's just such a ridiculous concept that I decided to take the insanity several steps further lol.

"Born....on a Monday..."

Solomon Grundy is one of the most powerful characters in all of DC with a might that has rivaled Superman's at times and a physique on par with Marvel's Hulk. That's probably why I chose the Marvel Select Hulk as the body base. Grundy's head came from a Gamma Strike Hulk with Aves Fixit Sculpted hair and chin, and the jacket from a 12" RoC Cobra Commander tailored to fit then tattered. Grundy's boots were sculpted over the feet using Aves Apoxie sculpt with real laces and he was given a rope belt. Various shades of grey were used for his flesh and a mucky wash detailing covers makes it appear he has just walked from the swamp. He follows the same BAF style as my Clayface for a larger DC Universe figure.
