Atem is obsessively possessive of Yugi to the point it's unhealthy o_0; So much so that he'll even KILL people over Yugi. Flattering, but a little frightening nonetheless.
It's why I love him so much

...He reached out, taking Yugi by the shoulder and pulled to his chest, feeling a certain possession. He had a body--one of his own--and that meant that certain...things...could happen now. He put a hand into Yugi's hair, combing it absentmindedly, feeling that if anyone were to come into the room at the moment he would have banished them to the shadow realm. Yugi was his and his alone now...even if those possessive thoughts gave him pause.

Atem felt himself tense angrily at the shrill call from downstairs. His arms remained grasping the air as Yugi left to speak to Anzu, he himself feeling the need to banish her to the shadow realm for her interruptions. She was a nice girl, but her timing was awful. As he sat on the bed, thinking things over he decided that it wouldn't stop him. He would claim the prize--his prize. As Yugi ascended the stairs, Atem stood, deciding to meet him there. When they were face to face, he smiled again, even more predatory than the last one.

Atem frowned at the sound of the girl's name. Yugi needed to think only of him and no one else. He wasn't about to share the limelight. The pharaoh followed the younger's retreat up the bed, as he finished removing the shirt. His hands grabbed the boy's shoulders, holding him as he pulled him into another kiss, this one more demanding and possessive than the first. "Think of this, right now. Nothing else." He whispered...

Just a few small sections depicting his possessiveness, though my partner and I haven't dove deep into how bad it REALLY gets, yet.
This is from an RP that my roommate and I did, that will be made into a one-shot, or possible series of one-shots if we decide to carry this on. I dunno, maybe if we get enough reviews when it's posted *shrug
Anyway, Atem is a possessive bastard and will go to any lengths to protect what is his. And Yugi IS his.
