This celebrity doll repaint was inspired by an outtake from the film Gone With The Wind that never made it to the final film.

I used a 16-inch Scarlett O'hara doll here produced by Robert Tonner Doll company. I completely removed factory facial painting and hand painted it to more faithfully replicate Vivien Leigh as Scarlett from that particular scene.

The doll's hair has been completely restyled.

Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area . Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise.

I have been very busy with other doll projects but I am very pleased to present my latest ebay offering. Diana Ross and her music has been very much a part of my growing up years and many memories of my life back in the Philippines, so creating a celebrity custom doll honoring Ms. Ross was an absolute pleasure.

I use a Mattel production doll for this project. The inset photo at the bottom shows the doll in its original factory state.

As with all my creations, I completely strip the original factory paint on each of the dolls, and completely repaint the facial features in, paying attention to accuracy of likeness and lifelike expressions. The doll also underwent hair rework to match the proportions of the face. .

With the huge following and popularity that "The Vampire Diaries" has gained and as a follow up to my custom Damon doll last year, I thought I'd create Stefan Salvatore, the other half of the Salvatore vampire siblings from the hit tv show. Paul Wesley portrays the character along with Ian Somerhalder as Damon and Nina Dobrev as Elena Gilbert.

I use Tonner Doll Company's factory produced Stefan Salvatore doll. The inset photo at the bottom right shows the doll in its original factory state.

As with all my creations, I completely strip the original factory paint on each of the dolls, and completely repaint the facial features in, paying attention to accuracy of likeness and lifelike expressions. The doll also underwent extensive hair rework to match the proportions of the face. .

MEETING LINDSAY WAGNER (1970S THE BIONIC WOMAN)

Last June 9th, I had the great opportunity of meeting my childhood idol Lindsay Wagner again. And although not quite her birthday (June 22) yet, I had the privilege of presenting her another pencil portrait that I did many years ago. I had intended to have Lindsay autograph the portrait for myself, but after seeing the portrait, she asked if I could send her a scanned copy of the drawing. She was very pleased with the drawing and there was no way I would have her settle for a scanned copy, so I gladly offered it to her. After all it was her beauty and radiant personality that inspired me to draw in the first place as a young child. I went home that day filled with immense joy and blessing knowing that I have a part of Lindsay and she a part of me.
