WIP Colour pencil portrait of Heath Ledger as the Joker.
I drew this in graphite a few years ago and thought I would give it another go to see how I've improved. I'll probably compare the two once this one is finished.
I'm still learning when it comes to colour pencil, so there a few things which aren't exactly brilliant :)

I received few requests, so I did this, because taking a video absolutely failed.

I filed it under the category of tutorials, but really, this is NOT a tutorial. I'm merely showing the process of how I paint (or should I say - speedpaint).
There are mistakes and I realized I didn't finish the eyebrows LOL.

i will be using corel paint shop pro x for this tutorial.

1. first, pick the image you'd like to use. i will be using the one above, taken from *yellow-stock's gallery.

2. now duplicate your background layer and set it to screen at 34%.

3. create a new raster layer and fill it with the colour #1490FE. set it to exclusion at 34%.

4. now duplicate your background layer and drag it to the top. set it so soft light at 100%.

now merge your layers and you're done!
if your image doesn't match the one above, play around with the settings until you're happy.
if you have any questions, feel free to ask. :]

A study of a bass player's hands. They really have beautiful hands, I'm surprised to never occurred to me to study them before.
