This is probably my favorite speed painting!
I love it :)

Music was composed and used with permission from my good friend Mike Woodley (~KillingAriella). He's a fabulous musician and 3D renderer.

4x my natural speed.

Note: I know this is under the tutorial category, but I'm not sure how useful this is for learning purposes. Really, I just recorded myself drawing and sped it up. I'm not sure of a better place to categorize it. If you do however watch this and come out with a better knowledge of how to draw digitally, or learn from my technique, awesome!

Sorry about the bad sound and my baaad english! T_T

Désolée pour les Français, le son est juste horrible et quand je grommelle c'est encore pire. J'espère que Papa Noel m'apportera un meilleur micro que mon oreillette toute pourrie mais bon, il vaut mieux faire ça que rien du tout hein? :)

This is a recording of a commissioned promo poster I painted for an upcoming author for his novel; "Sebastian Cornwell".

It features the main two characters of the novel.

(The video starts after I had already sketched it out and placed the base colors of the guys (Sebastian's) face. I stopped and thought: "Hmm....I should probably record this one" haha)

I didn't record the entire sessions, but just the bulk of it ;) There was too much back and forth between my client and myself to keep a steady start-to-finish workflow hehe.

Photoshop CS5
15 hours or so.
Airbrush + Texture brushes.
Dodge/Burn and Sharpen/Blur for finishing touches!

Feel free to use as reference~ Link me if you do, I'd love to see how this helped you ^^

Mainly for anime style art. This is the way I draw, there is plenty of room for improvement but I'm sure it will help some build their talent to a certain level. Good luck!

"What the hell are you doing!?"
"I'm kicking my ASS! Do ya mind!?"

- Jim Carey (Liar Liar)

Well, here is the video process of the painting I did for the "Kick Your Own Ass" group. I thought it would be a good one to document :D I tried to cram as much as I could fit into this one.

Photoshop CS5
Better to watch the higher-res version: [link]

Recorded with HYPERCAM (its free!)
And put together/sped up with Windows Movie Maker
So simple :)

Okay, so. I got deviantfilm privileges the other day (thanks Fallenrox! :D) and wanted to give it a test.

So, I made a quick, crappy video tutorial about basic blending. It's not very well-thought out or exciting, it's really just a test of deviantfilm to see how everything works out. I'll upload much better-planned tutorials in the future, but for now I hope you enjoy this one.

Feel free to suggest something for my next tutorial, or crit, or comment, or whatever. :)

(Also, please excuse the awful the video and audio sync; for some reason Camtasia won't record through my camera, so I had to record the video with Camtasia, the audio with Wavepad, and put them together. The result is somewhat mish-mashed.)

Edit:

Oh mai GAWD! Daily Deviation! Bwuargh!!!! Thanks so much, guys, it's wonderful to see this tutorial really lifting off like this. I'll be sure to make more, very soon!
