ChinaxReader: Confusing Peace A warm presence surrounded you when you awoke. Not warm like the fires in your village the night before but a soft, gentle warmth. You attempted to move your body to figure out what blanketed over it only for searing pain to shoot through your muscles.
You allowed your (e/c) eyes to flutter open. The sight that beheld you nearly took your breath away. Around you, everything was seemingly decorated in gold and ivory, sheets draped over you made with the finest silks, dyed the deepest if reds and sewn with the goldest of threads. Around the big bed you lay in, lightly tinted, red, translucent curtains hung.
Bringing your arms up over the bed, you felt as if you had single-handedly plowed 10 fields by yourself, aches in your shoulders and arms. A pained groan escaped your lips as it began to ebb.
"You're awake aru..." A soft, feminine voice spoke out beside you. "How do you feel...?"
A young man brushed aside the curtains, revealing a soft, gentle face w

You spread your arms out wide and turned around. "Isn't this lovely, Yao?"
"It is," Yao agreed walking after you.
"I can't believe we're actually here!" You stopped and inhaled some of the humid air that filled the scenic landscape of the ever-famous Great Wall of China. There were a lot of tourists visiting from other countries in addition to China so it was a little crowded. Plus, with it being so close to the city, the air smelled faintly of smog.
"This is so cool, Yao," you grinned excitedly. "We're on the actual Great Wall!"
"Are you happy?" your boyfriend asked walking up to you and watching some of the greenery beyond the ancient bricks.
"Definitely," you chuckled. "Although "
"Wait up, you two!" a loud voice cut through the medley of languages being spoken by the tourists trekking across the Great Wall.
"Why did he have to come along?" you asked getting slightly annoyed.
Yao furrowed his eyebrows and threw Yong Soo, his long-time good but annoyi

You squirmed, struggling desperately against your bonds. You screamed and cursed, but no one could hear you, as you were roughly gagged with a soiled cloth.
How had you wound up in this situation? It had started when a huge ship had docked in the local port.
Your town was small, but with a bustling, lively atmosphere. You had been minding your own business, just out on a few errands, when you saw them; a long line of people marching off the ship, surrounded by a curious crowd. They were a curious lot, wearing beautifully woven clothes in bright colors. As they passed, you could hear the rustling of silk. You stopped to stare like the rest.
It wasn't just the clothes that made them noticeable. They all had smooth, young faces. Their dark hair was tied back loosely. Unconsciously, your fingers began to comb through your own hair. Theirs was longer than yours.
The serene grace with which they

You sit on the floor in the middle of the room. Papers are scattered all around you. They're all test results. Numerous test results and medical bills. You were sick. Dying. When the doctors thought they had a handle on your disease it progressed in a way they never saw coming. The one test result you hold in your quivering hands has a small number on it. Four. That's how many weeks they estimated you'd live, but even then, your disease might have something else to say about that. You had quit your job, paid any bill you could and bought only what you needed for your last days on earth, draining your bank accounts. With teary, puffy eyes, you look over at the table. The sun was shining in through the window onto a long serrated knife on the coffee table. You slowly reached for the knife and then held it high above your body.
"It's better this way." You say as you lift it higher, ready to impale yourself. Suddenly your front door op

“Come in, aru.” A thick Chinese accent called from the other side of a wooden door.
China, an old wise country had invited you for tea, hoping to become allies with your country. A few days ago he had invited you for tea, in hopes of strengthening the bonds and relationships between the two countries. You, currently, had never really had anything against the country China, you had really no opinion of him. All you really knew was that he was the eldest of the G8 members, and was wiser than most of them. He has a unique culture that had influenced many countries in Asia. That was pretty much it, besides the fact that he had the power to look younger than some of the countries that were younger than himself.
You took a deep breath, and walked into the room where you saw the old country sitting in a wooden chair by the side of a table made of the same type of wood. Across from the table was another wooden

Ripping off a piece of his notepaper, he scribbled down a few words and crumpled up the small loose leaf corner and glanced up at Germany who was currently droning on about European economy or something like that. The second his head turned away, France tossed the paper to you.
As soon as you saw the crumpled up piece of white land in front of your eyes, you rolled them. Your (e/c) eyes were brought up, meeting with a rather flirtatious pair of blue ones staring expectantly towards you.

You sighed, dropping a golden autumn leaf into the stream beneath the red wooden bridge you were standing on. Watching it as it floated along you imagined yourself as it, the stream as the strange turn of events you had experienced in the past four months.
The leaf turned the corner in the water and you lost sight of it, only to drop another in its place. The silken sleeve on your right arm was folded up to your shoulder; you didn't want it to get dirty when you'd been plucking the leaves from the ground.
The leaf really is like my life, the water constantly changes course and all I can do is try to follow it, otherwise I sink, you thought to yourself, your head tilted to one side. You'd grown accustomed to the presents Yao showered you in.
Every time he came back from wherever he went during the day, he'd always have a piece of jewellery, a hairpin, some clo

It was always a dream of yours to be an actor, so you decided to start your acting in middle school in drama. You were pretty much one of the most decent actors in the group. Whatever the teacher asked you to do; you did it, in an extremely amazing matter.
So, you were now in high school and you went to your drama. Every year, you were the first one to arrive in the room on the first day of school. That record changed when you saw someone else in the room. Your eyes widened when you saw a handsome Asian guy with a manly, dark-brown ponytail on the side. You could feel your face being covered by a blush as you examined the man.
"Hello!' The man greeted in a cheerful tone.
"Hey. You must be the new transfer student from China. I'm (first name) (last name.)" You held up your hand so he could shake it.

You were in yet another World Meeting with your fellow countries. Same events happen every time. You covered your ears and counted, "3, 2, 1"
On cue, Ludwig stood up and shouted on the top of his lungs, "EVERYONE SHUT ZE HELL UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Today was the sixth day on your week long vacation to China to visit your friend, Yao.

Refusing to let that take away your time with him, you accompanied him on every one of his trails, traveling the same path over and over, so you could be with him.
The only problems you had faced up until now were some sore legs and a couple of burrs on your shoes.
Unfortunately for you, five days of solid sunshine did not go without its consequences. That coupled with your thin shirt material and no sunscreen left you with a terrible sunburn all over your back as well as across the bridge of your nose and cheeks.
