A request from , she wanted me to draw her a little red-headed girl with Black Veil Brides' bassist Ashley Purdy. She actually asked me to draw Ash and this girl on a date together and he was giving her a teddy bear, but I drew/inked this at my grandparent's house so I forgot the details and this is what I remembered. When she said "girl" I wasn't thinking teenaged girl, soooo..... If this isn't what you wanted I'll redo it. :I
But yeah. School may have ended but holy gee I'm so tired. Studying for Biology and English finals and trying to finish projects for Bio, English, and Art. I drew this pretty fast considering how slow I usually am, so their arms look a bit too long and the hand the girl has holding the bear has the thumb on the wrong side. Didn't notice that until I inked it. Like a baus. And my eraser had conte crayon on it from my Art project so I got black on her hair when trying to erase it because the shine wasn't light enough. Photoshop for the win.
Also, just for anyone who likes my little Unsure Jinxx thing, I have a surprise for you. Anyone who I've already told, don't spill the beans yet.
An art trade with , my half was to draw her with Andy and CC from the Black Veil Brides. By the time I got around to drawing this she changed her hair three times.
It's been raining all June, with thunderstorms every other rain. When I decided to actually do this art trade, I was camping. And it rained the whole time I was there. It thundered two out of the three days we were there, and my dog is petrified of thunder, so I watched him hide under the table and under my sheets in my bed. And that's how I got the idea for this. Minimal colouring effort is minimal.
A request for , she wanted me to draw her judging a Mad Hatter contest between the lead singers of HIM, Ville Valo, and the Black Veil Brides, Andy Biersack. It's a close call to who is the winner; Ville has his abs and Andy has a Cheshire Jinxx cat. Except Jinxx isn't smiling, so Andy may get marks off for that one.
I ended up looking at a cosplay of the Mad Hatter for the reference image, so if the colours are off that'd be why. I believe the cosplayer had different colours, but I went with it because it was very clear on what the costume's elements were.
Also, excuse the half-assed anatomy and colouring. I've somehow got a cold and it's drained the life out of me. Right after I finished my last exam too; well played cold. Well played. And you can see the paper's crinkled a bit. I kind of killed it.
For a class at my school, I decided to improve on my digital art for the course. I would greatly appreciate any feedback, as this is for my grade and I do want to improve on my next piece.
So, this is my webcomic character Graham's imagination. He's addicted to cocaine so it's a very interesting place. The guy at the top is Graham's top halluctination, Jareth. He's a pretty nice fellow. So. So nice. I threw in another webcomic character Stabber in there too, trying to push out of Graham's imagination, and a really, reaaaaaally old character of mine, Dorf (the green guy in about the middle). I honestly don't remember why I made him.
And I learned that pixel art is fuggin amazing. Like, my god. So much fun. Time consuming, but fun. I had to look up so many tutorials and references for textures and stuff though. My lawdy. This took about a month to do, with about 1-2 hours a day during school days, and pretty much all day on weekends. Don't ask me how many colours I used. I didn't have enough care to try. I did however use the colours I chose as often as I could (for example, the background of his imagination was just re-used colours not new colours).
A commission from , she wanted me to draw her and Andy Biersack from the Black Veil Brides. I just had this idea to have her mess around his hair, because he keeps changing it and I'm like "learns to draw his newest hairstyle but then he changes it again asdfghjkl". So yeah. That's all I got. I kind of messed up Andy's hair, I parted it weird and didn't notice.
I added a lower lip to my cartooning style too. News of the day.
A request from , she wanted me to draw her Black Veil Brides bassist Ashley Purdy and her friend Greg doing something cute together. Sharing a milkshake was one of the suggestions of this "cute," so I went with it. She told me he's been feeling depressed lately so this is to put a smile on his face.
I decided to try cel-shading for this instead of soft-shading like I've always done before. I think it went pretty successfully, might go even better when I use the brush instead of the pencil tool next time. Totally didn't realize that until I finished shading it. I threw in a splash of blue at the bottom of the table for no real reason. I really don't know why. It just wanted to be there.
So, anyway, I hope you like this Greg, and happy early birthday.
A commission from , she wanted me to draw her character Sabrina with Andy Biersack from the Black Veil Brides. I was too lazy to see what Andy has done with his hair now (he keeps changing it asdfghjkl cannot keep up) so I just did the classic long hair he used to have.
I tried to do this in her own style instead of mine, because the pose I wanted to do didn't work without a neck like I draw my cartoons. Derp. I think I made the head a bit bigger than her style. And Andy's hand is too small. I have this problem where if I haven't done the pose before I make the hand too small. Everytime I swear. I tried colouring like her too instead of how I colour, except I shaded the hair a bit more. 'Dat hair.
I recently discovered that one of Chance and Andy's old videos got the sound back, one I haven't seen before. I was compelled to do a quick drawing of it. As well as the fact that I've wanted to draw them for a few weeks now ever since I drew them on a Join.me session. [link]
It was either this part of the video or the one with Andy explaining how many bowls there are for a certain amount of people. I went with the fog car one, 'cause I went out driving and I kept thinking about it. Even though it was a sunny day, I was laughing to myself about my car being made of fog. Until I started being tail-gated on the highway and got annoyed. I was doing the speed limit, 80 km/h, but he wanted to go faster and he couldn't pass me. So he went as close to me as possible. Really glad I pulled over to let him pass. :I
I tried to decipher what they were saying from listening. For some reason I just couldn't shade Chance's hair right. I'm tired and I didn't feel like trying too much so it isn't the best thing ever. Chance's arms are derped too. And Andy's hair style doesn't look right either. I think he had two lip piercings in that video, the fake ones, before he got the real one in. Dunno.
I haven't drawn Jeff in a while so... yeah. Must draw him moar. I threw in my character Stabber because both him and Jeff like to stab things. I kept them in the styles I use to draw both of them. For no good reason.
I kind of failed at Jeff's arm, miserable foreshortening is miserable. And the arm on his shoulder is a little awkward. And Jeff's thumb is hiding for some reason when it shouldn't be. I wasn't trying very hard when I drew this if you couldn't tell already.
I think what's going on in this picture is that they ran into each other late one night. Stabber was sneaking out as he always does, walking around the empty streets of his town. Then, a couple of guys jumped him and told him to give them all of his money. And, well, Stabber has a very short temper, and always carries around a knife with him. When he was walking back home after killing them, he ran into Jeff, who for some reason went to Alberta, and he had just went on a killing spree as well. Jeff noticed that, and congratulated him. Jeff didn't know his name so he called him Shorty. Stabber is only about 5'2", and he hates being called short. He'd probably try to stab Jeff, but Jeff's more experienced than Stabber so he would've just dodged it and continued to run away. Poor Stabber.
The last time I made of these comics was back in April. I wanted really badly to make another one, but I kept putting it off because of school and requests. And then all of the ideas I had written down I didn't find funny anymore. And that sucks. I decided to switch from soft-cel to hard-cel shading for all of the digital work, including this. I prefer it this way anyway, though I wish I could figure out something to do with their irises. They so plain. This took me longer than usual to do because it's been ages since I've done one of these comics so I had to refresh my memory.
And I used this city stock because I was too lazy to make a background myself. [link]
And then right before I finished putting it together, everything coloured, I accidentally save something when I exited out of it when I shouldn't have and I lost the last panel right before I put it on the comic. I had to redo the entire last panel, which took me two more hours that I shouldn't have spent on this, to finish it. If the shading's off on that one it's because I did it all in one go for consistancy. Yeah. First world problems.
Randomly when in my mom's car being driven to go camping I remembered this song. Sexy Naughty Bitchy Me. My friends showed me song like, four or five years ago and I had entirely forgot about it until that random point in time. So I decided to make the next comic about it. I put the three main characters in this one: Memphis, Stacy, and Stabber. I will neither deny nor confirm that that is really Stabber's phone.
If you haven't heard Memphis' ringtone: [link] If you haven't heard Stabber's ringtone: [link]
