Everything was spinning in front of Tony Stark.
Well, there was only darkness as far as he could tell, but still, even the darkness was spinning. Tony made a feeble attempt to open his eyes but gave up rather quickly. Nope, that was definitely not going to happen, at least not yet. It took twenty more tries but Tony finally managed to triumph over adversity and open his eyes. It wasn’t the first time he’d made an attempt to get up that morning. By now it was likely mid-afternoon. With a groan he rolled onto his side and held his hand over his ear. Finally the world stopped spinning in an array of blurred colors and he could see that he was in Scarlett’s bedroom.

"You are putting yourself in danger."
A metal door screeched in strain as a slim-fingered hand pushed it open. Sunlight streamed through the fluffy white clouds as a human form stepped onto the roof. The young woman walked forward, remnants of snowy patches crunching beneath her grey and purple sneakers. Squinting at the light, she moved to a nearby ladder and clung to it. Chills raked her body, igniting where her skin met the frosty metal.
Arriving at the top of the small overhang, the woman kneeled at the edge; the undisturbed snow clung to her jeans. Crisp winter air nipped at her cheeks and fingertips, furthering the cold that plagued her. Her soft breaths became water particles in the air and her thin spring jacket did little to protect her from winter's remnants.
"Ann, you know what will happen if you continue."
Ann unfurled her fingers from the large bag she held in her left hand and set it on the cement platform. She unzipped it and pulled the contents ou

The sun had risen over the horizon and began casting its warm rays over the landscape. A cloudless blue sky stretched out overhead as a light breeze blew across the coastline. Small waves gathered in the distant water, creating a serene purr as they broke against the shoreline. Overhead danced a flock of seagulls singing their happy tune as they took in the new morning. The day had begun in a way that could only be described as perfect.
Two lone figures sat closely together in the soft sand as they too enjoyed the beautiful morning. A honey colored fox stared out over the horizon as he supported an emerald haired girl upon his shoulder, who leaned into him with a contented sigh. They sat in silence, enjoying each other's closeness as they stared at the beautiful scenery. The fox looked over at the green haired girl with admiration in his eyes and smiled happily. The girl, with un-bloomed flowers in her hair, looked back at the blue eyed fox with equal admiration before turning back to
Killjoys 04 Interrogate-DeceitA thick wall of sand was blowing in the wind. He could barely see in front of him more than a few feet, but he still knew where he was going, so it didn't matter. He had walked this path so many times before that he was sure that if he knelt down on the ground and looked hard enough in the sand he'd see his footprints from earlier in the week when he had headed out into the zone with his comrades or from the week before when he'd returned with supplies. He hung his head low so the sand wouldn't fly into his eyes and pulled the tiger striped helmet off of his head, tossing it down in the sand, where the noise it made was muted by the wind. It was expendable to him, and considering what he'd lost this morning, he didn't much care if he lost material things. He began to remove the buckles that secured the gas mask around his face. The tips of his fingers were scraped and bloodied from the fight he'd put up, making it hard to get a grasp on them but he continued nonetheless, until they werKilljoys 04 Interrogate-Deceit4 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

What the Dere?- Guide to TypesA lot of manga and anime fans have come across these terms tons of times, but what the heck do they mean? What the Dere?- Guide to Types4 years ago in Academic Essays More Like This
As a fellow artist/novelist myself, I shall break down the good, the bad and the downright ugly when it comes to the Deres.
Tsundere- the most common type of "dere" there is. But what exactly defines a tsundere?
To be put bluntly, a tsundere character acts tough on the outside, but is a real softie once you get to know him/her. Kagami from Lucky Star is a perfect example of this. She acts harsh towards our favorite practical joker, Konata, but she shows her true colors when someone pushes the right buttons. Another good example is Beatrice from Umineko no Naku Koro ni. Beneath that seemingly cold exterior lies a heart of gold (no pun intended). Of course, she would never admit these feelings to Battler or any one of her friends. Only we, the viewers, know her secret.
Another trait of the tsundere is that they often hit the person they care about (but the "victim" is ever rarely sev

Artisans, the non winged ones, are responsible for creating anything the world may need, whether its dyes for changing leaves, a new winter fur coat for animals, crafting the morning dew, or creating snowflakes-they do it all! Travelers, the winged ones, are responsible for bringing the work that the Artisans have done and putting it into the world. A group of Faelidh is called a 'caravan'. Each caravan contains anywhere from 20-50 members, although outliers in either direction have been known to happen. At the top of a caravan reigns a Queen-much like a beehive! Ratchet tried to expect the unexpected, but what he found on the other side of the groundbridge was simply...unexpected.
He ran through the groundbridge and out into open air.
But that wasn't the worst of it all; directly below him, and rising at him with alarming speed, were the raging, black waves of an ocean.
He plummeted like a rock into the cold, swirling waters. At first he panicked. He's never really had to worry about water back in Nevada, since the entire state was
basically a desert. All he could see was solid black. Even when he looked up to the surface, which seemed to be rising farther away by the second, he could hardly tell
the difference between the sky and the water that now enveloped him.
It wasn't the fear of drowning. It's not like Cybertronians depended on air anyways. No, it was the fear of being lost forever in a dark, cold, lonely, and seemingly
never-ending prison of crushing water. It seemed that there was no light at the

We all faced in our lives situations in which someone hurt our feelings, or tried to change something about us. When facing such situations, we ask ourselves, why people do such things? Well, I want to explain it to you and hope, that this will get you a better understanding for how important it is to tolerate each other.
How I came up with the subject:
I read the journal of a very close friend of mine and she wrote about her teachers. First she is getting ignored by one, another one is just never pleased and another one told her to quit drawing manga and try comic instead...
Okay, first people might just say 'teachers are stupid, ignore them!' but then again I had to think about my own time in school... and not only in school, but in my private life as well and it keeps bugging me so I just need to write this off.
I always came along greatly with my teachers, be

"Why do I bother?" Ratchet wondered solemnly into the heavy silence of the med bay.
There came no reply to the question. The medic remained unbothered that no answer came, for he hadn't been expecting an answer when he had asked the question. For all the times he had asked the question, he never received an answer for his troubles. His life, such as it was in the war, had come to a point where he did not expect answers for most things anymore. And many times, he did not want answers.
When he asked why he bothered anymore, he sometimes fancied that the silence was answer enough, because aside from silence there was no true answer.
There was such an endless pointlessness to the life of a medic who suffered in the middle of war. The most one could ever hope for was to make a temporary repair. The true wounds that afflicted the victims could never be repaired by the tools a medic had at his dis

I have my inner demons.
And they are tearing me apart.
Through my rib cage,
They are eating away my heart.
I have you,holding me tight.
You can feel the pulse of my soul
I am afraid,save me.
Make those evil creatures go.
I have monsters under my bed.
They whisper only bullshit in my ear.
Their voices are so quiet for others,
But so loud for me to hear.
I feel like losing my balance,
I will fall soon,
I wonder,did Lucifer
Have his inner demons,too.
I trust them,
And they say you'll leave.
It's like they want to kill.
But you caught my body,
You're the one with my soul's key.
With the color of my artery's blood
on your body, you said to me:
"Don't talk to monsters under your bed,
Cause they don't like us at all.
Sleep,I am here,my love.
They don't know what we know."

Never again can you smile or laugh.
Those who've betrayed you with lack of remorse
bring terrible pain that does not run its course.
All hope is vanquished; all happiness lost.
Why does your life come at so great a cost...?
You feel like a failure that you have no worth...
Your have been crushed by life's gruesome girth.
...But in your grief, you've lost sight of one thing:
those truly good people and the joy that they bring.
I speak to you now, as one of those few -
my words are sincere, and my feelings are true.
Don't lose yourself. You're not finished yet.
There is still hope; your sun has not set.
The feelings you hide deep down inside...
For so many years alone you have cried.
You may not see it, but you will be shown
that some people care that you're not alone.
I've found you now. There's no need to fear.
No matter what happens, for you I am here.

The victims of hatred, how they're subject to blame...
yet none deign to help them...for shame.
Diverse though we are, those different we shun,
their lives and their freedom we've sorely undone.
Our treatment of them is that of sheer hate,
solely for their lack of being straight.
But some of us those straight, but "true,"
see in them more, and for them we will do
our part to remind them that they have their place -
a just, fair position within the human race.
And so, we who are Allies don armor and gear -
take up arms for those victims, whom we hold dear.
We polish our words our non-violent tools,
and prepare our assault against homophobic rules.
As we Allies advance toward this battle we'll wage,
we reflect on our goal: to shatter the cage.
That cage, which holds captive our victimized friends,
will no longer be when it our strength rends.
We reach the battleground

Okay, so first of all, a zombie is a reanimated corpse that lurches around looking for human flesh. Different breeds may be reasoned with, or even "cured" back to the original personality. However, the most typical zombies:
-Are incoherent. They will not be reasoned with or threatened.
-They don't sleep.
-They seem to like brains, but most will settle for a nice hunk of your flesh.
-The come in different speeds, from crawling to shambling to running. Most are shambling along at a slow slow walk.
-They do not drown or asphyxiate.
-Some will burn easily while others will not burn at all.
-Most zombies will "die" from severe damage to the head.
-It is said they are attracted by sound, but this varies.
-VERY IMPORTANT: The most dangerous thing about zombies is that if they bite you and you die before your brain is destroyed, you will come back to life as ANOTHER ZOMBIE. That's how they spread their numbers

Your bones shall become part of my horde,
Where they will remain for evermore.

Hmm it usually starts with me getting the assignment since I spend my freetime drawing other things mostly (these days at least). As soon as I know what the client wants, I leave it alone for a couple of days and wait for ideas to sprout in my head. The rest is just craftsmanship, you know, drawing the stuff and everything. The real work is done as soon as I put down the thumbnail sketch.

She'd managed to obtain enough money for the train ticket from an ATM via some less than conventional means and was contemplating how she would obtain the rest of what she required to get her plane ticket. International flights on short notice were no easy feat, not to mention her passport was still somewhere in Africa. For someone like Scarlett there were always ways around that, but it wouldn't be easy on such short notice. It would be too hard to get out of the country by the end of the day which was fast approaching, so Scarlett figured her best bet would be to get a hotel for the night and spend as much time as she could awake and planning her next move.Glass Heart 36 - Confessions of a Broken Heart2 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

A soft moan echoed back across the dying rhododendrons.
"Are you tired? Lost?" A quick glance at her spittle-slathered chops. "Hungry?"
She nodded vigorously and a bit of froth flew loose to stick upon a nearby leaf. I watched as it slowly slid its way to the very tip and plopped with a light "thwack" upon the freshly upturned soil.
"Er, there ought to be a dead squirrel or two out back by the fence. I imagine Mortimer left something, he's always forgetting what he's doing and scampering off, you know how those crazy groundskeepers can be . . ."
