I designed this carácter for a personal sci-fi project. I was inspired by the skin and the anatomy of a lizard to get a reptilian appearance.

Modeled with 3D Max 2011, rendered in VRay, textured with ZBrush and some postproduction with Photoshop CS5

Final render for a school assignment. Made in Maya 2012, with compositing/detail painting done in PS CS5. It's not actually modelled after a dodo bird, but the name seemed to fit.

The vast majority of 3D I do is in the realm of medieval/fantasy rather than robotic/futuristic, so it was really interesting to try something I don't usually do. Learned a lot!
