Birthday gift for my good friend Rhiannon, featuring her two OC's Astuto de los Muerto and Kyōhaku Tandokude.
The serene and peaceful night of Karakura town was disrupted by the sudden opening of a Garganta. Stepping out, Astuto clenched her fists and sighed.
"Did you really need to follow me? I may be blind but I certainly don't need an escort." she snapped, turning her head to see Reina standing on the other side of the Garganta, arms crossed and pouting.
"I'm sorry Mue-san, you looked really miserable so I came to see what was up. I'll go if you want," she began to step forward but halted. "I suppose I should go and check on Estrella, who knows what mischief she's gotten into since I've been gone." Reina sighed, flicked her hair and proceeded back to Hueco Mundo muttering to herself, occasionally looking back to Astuto through the closing Garganta.
Heading for the highest rooftop in Karakura, Astuto rested on a ledge overlooking th

"If ya want him, than just fuckin' go to him already!" barked Grimmjow.
Sauria twitched an eyebrow in annoyance. This was getting really annoying. "I never said I wanted him!" she yelled back, with an equal amount of ferociousness. "Why do you always have to jump to conclusions? We can't even have a nice meal anymore because of your stupid, jealous tendencies! Knock it off!"
"Oh, so now yer gonna blame this shit on me?" he growled, his electric blue eyes full of rage and frustration. But Sauria wasn't going to be swayed, not one bit. If he wanted to be a crybaby about it, she'd let him.
Ichigo and Kirei were walking alongside the bickering couple, rather awkwardly. Kirei had suggested to Sauria that they go on a double date, and was at first surprised when Sauria was hesitant about it now she could understand why.
Kirei rolled her eyes and smiled at her lover, Ichigo, apologizing for her brother's stupidity. Apparent

Notes: Title inspired by N. Nowik's series Temeraire where Celestials are the rarest breed of dragons in the world; also a pun on Lucy's spirits.
"What's that one called?"
"And that one?"
"And that one on the left?"
Happy paused in his questioning, trying to locate another constellation he could ask after.
"How come you know so much about them?"
Lucy shrugged. It was a beautiful night and they were camping out on their return from a mission. And somehow, she ended up pointing out star constellations to Happy, even though the only one he truly took interest in was Pisces.
"It seemed appropriate. I am a stellar spirit mage, after all. I felt that I should know these things."
"So, you know every constellation in the sky?"
ArrivalHow many weeks had she been forced to deal with the cramped, damp conditions on that trading vessel? Ten? Eleven? She had lost track of the days by that point. The storm they narrowly avoided certainly did not help them set any speed records, nor did taking stops in the Caribbean islands for who knew what. Even after stepping off the ship, she swore that it felt like she was still faintly rocking back and forth. For all Daniela knew, her long trip had been in vain and the Brotherhood in the British Colonies had been completely destroyed years ago. After all, the letter her father had received not too long after her birth was unopened when she found it. Pure curiosity drove her to read its contents and apparently stupidity convinced her to do as it asked. Even she was unsure how her father managed to be persuaded on letting her leave Italy, though her stubbornness would likely be the main culprit. From the day she was born, Valentine Hayes was already destined for greatness. As soon as she was old enough to leave home, a courier from the Shinigami Dispatch Association came for her to take her to the Shinigami Dispatch Association Academy, where young reapers were trained in combat to become some of the world's most legendary heroes in the Underworld.
"Are you ready, Miss Hayes?" the courier asked her with a slight bow.
It was ironic really. Valentine was the size of a six year old human child, but this courier treated her like an adult. "Yes, of course," she replied. He held out his hand and she placed her tiny one into it and he led her to the waiting carriage.
As soon as everything was ready, the carriage gave a jolt and they were on their way. Her parents never came to see her off.

He entered Master Makarov's room some time after Laxus left the guild. His bandaged limbs combined with a crutch did little to let him stand properly (much less climb a flight of stairs) but he ignored the ache they gave. It was his thoughts that made him feel really restless and he came here to figure them out.
The master had lied down on his bed again. Surely banishing a family member who he loved so strongly but hurt him so deeply was very exhausting and painful. After the silence between them stretched on and on, Makarov inhaled and then exhaled slowly. The old midget was ever patient.
"You are troubled, my boy."
Gajeel looked away and shifted off his bandaged foot when he unconsciously put weight on it.
"The girl, Levy. Why doesn't she hate me?"
The elderly man opened one eye and looked over at the Dragon Slayer, "I think you did something to convince her to forgive you. Considering what you have done, it is not something just anyone can do. I still won't forgive you."

Hitching a Ride with DialogueYou probably know what dialogue is. Even if you've never thought about it in fancy, official terms like "dialogue in writing is the representation of speech between two or more speakers", and have always thought of it more like "people talking", you more or less have the gist of it. Sometimes authors can pull off a story that forgoes dialogue, but those are in the firm minority. The fact that dialogue is such a widely used device means there are a few rules to it, most of which are easy. However, this fact has never stopped people like you or I from royally messing them up.Hitching a Ride with Dialogue1 year ago in Personal Journal More Like This

There are four basic aspects to dialogue:
