Keep Calm And Comic-Con

This year was especially important to me personally and was a milestone of sorts on
multiple levels and for deviantART as a whole. Many of the reasons why will become clear
over the next few months as announcements are made and new ideas are shared with everyone
in the community.
s the multi dimensional, pop fueled, color exploded dream like haze that was Comic-Con begins
to fully dim and fade from accurate remembrance, I can’t shake the feeling that this year was s

I will never forget the day I let you hold my heart.
Oh foolish me, letting you see my soft parts.
Bless, the way your laugh made me feel.
I honestly thought is was something real.
I took your hand, so soft and tan.
When we danced, I hoped you'd understand.
That I truly love you and wanted you to hold me close.
But you only see him though, my own blood, my brother.
What a fool I am, not seeing through your act.
Was a heart the only thing you truly ever lacked?
Now sitting here, eyes red from the endless tears.
Am now facing my greatest fear.
I know I am only prolonging fate.
But at least I will still remember our very first date...

Tonight, many events will take place
People will live
while some vanish,
but most involved will be destroyed.
Tonight, blood is shed.
Tonight, someone will triumph.
Tonight, you meet your doom,
Signed your former partner,
The shadow finished his letter and signed his name, his hand positioned oddly to accomodate for his abnormally long black nails.
He was a demon.
But not by choice.
He remembered it was years and years ago; it seemed as if he and his brother were playing tag in the yard one day, and then the next... things changed.
A single red-tinited tear streaked down the shadowed figure's pale face as he remembered. He took a deep shuddering breath as he folded the parchment and sealed it.
He walked across his room. It was daylight, although the room was dark. He liked the dark. This way, no one could see him... or what he has become.
He walked up to his messenger crow and it turned and squawked
The Bloody Rose Part 2The Bloody Rose Part 22 years ago in Drama More Like This
24 hours previous:
My eyes glared onwards, towards the beast that encircled me. His eyes were daggers at the very back of my neck making my very hairs stand on end. I had my hand, armed and ready, resting uneasily onto the Bloody Rose that lay in wait in my pocket. If he were to make any sudden movements-
He stopped to my right, and his gaze watched meaningfully out of the window, and out into the world of the twilight. He never did falter in his movements only making me hate him more. He didn't know what it was like!
A pang of sudden pain swamped through my stomach and my gut. I gave out a gasp of horror and wrapped my arms tightly around stomach.
"My... You've already fallen to the blood lust of beasts, Zero Kiryu." He span around, and his eyes met mine.
"Kaname Kuran." I hissed through clenched teeth.
A cold laugh escaped his crude lips, as he sat down in the chair opposite me not once leaving contact with my eyes. His hand picked up one of the very few remainin
Weakness[One-Shot]It was a nice day to be out on a walk. No, scratch that, it was a beautiful day to be on a walk. The Heart Pirates had docked just last night on a spring island that was currently going through it's summer cycle. The sky was clear with only a few whispy clouds about. The breeze was mild at best, giving relief from the sun beating down on the island. Shoppers shopped, workers worked, children played, all was as it should be.Weakness[One-Shot]2 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
There wasn't even a marine presence on the island. Law quite liked that. It was rare for them to have a peaceful respite like this. As far as he could see, there wasn't any malicious or hostile air about the island. He'd given his crew permission to do what they wanted if they didn't cause trouble, and decided to go on a mild walk himself. So he'd convinced- read: bullied- his first mate, Bepo, into going with him to the nearby park.
Thus, where the two of them were now. The happy shrieks and squeals of kids having fun would bother most normal pirates. But Trafalgar

Mimi, Jordan, Rex, Jojo, Laila, Zach, and Nina are property of Ky-Nim! I do NOT own them! Also, this short story is in no way canon for EITHER of our respective stories.
Nina sat back against a tree and sighed. This day had not gone well at all. It all started with her stumbling into the dark grass
Nina took a few frightened steps back. This pokemon shouldn't be here It should be in pinwheel forest! The Sawk looked at her angrily. It almost seemed scared. Like it was lost, and was just trying to find the way home However, when it nearly killed Rex with Brick Break, any semblance of sympathy was quickly replaced with fear. She tried to run, but the Sawk blocked her path. Seeing no other choice, Nina sent out Mimi. A Low Sweep nearly killed her. Jojo, a Double Kick. Laila, Karate Chop. Nina was down to only Jordan and Zach. Trembling, Nina sent Jordan into battle. Another Low Sweep, and Jordan dodged. Nina wasn't going to let the
Peace and JoyIt was hard to talk about Christmas.Peace and Joy2 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Leo knew his new family was trusting and accepting and would never push him away- he'd told them about his fire, after all, and he'd even told his older brothers one night how exactly he became an orphan. They had hugged him so tight, all at once, he didn't have the breath to cry and Leo knew that he could trust them with anything if he could trust them with that.
His new family was wonderful, and fun and brilliant and like him, creative and tinkery and he was at home and at peace with them.
But that didn't make it any easier to talk about Christmas.
He could joke about the sewers. About how many houses he'd run away from, how many families he'd been given to. He could even talk about his mom when it was one of those nights in Cabin Nine; nights where no one moved their bunk down to the personal room each of them had underground, and instead stayed in the cabin together, and laughed and talked and chased each other around long after li
