David Tennant Cosplay Pinafore....So I had a client on Etsy ask me how the David Tennant Cosplay Pinafore looks on a real person. Being the unphotogenic person that I am, I really have to be in the mood to take pictures. Also, I'm not naturally thin and have to diet and exercise constantly to stay looking fit. Project Educate: Composition BasicsThe action of putting things together; formation or construction.Project Educate: Composition Basics3 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
The term composition simply means 'putting together' and is applied to all forms of art. In this respect, composition is all about the placement, arrangement or organisation of the individual elements within a photo. The composition of a photograph is what catches the viewer's attention and is what makes the image pleasing to the eye. By practicing and developing basic composition techniques, you can produce pieces of work which can recreate the impact of the original scene.
Some tips for developing composition skills are;
Look around using the viewfinder every time you take a picture.Look at each element and how it impacts the overall composition.Become familiar with your camera. Learn how it works, play around with settings and really get to know how each setting changes the overall image.Experiment and practice. Experiment and practice. Traditional Art Week continues! This article will give you a brief overview of most commonly used physical media techniques and their characteristics, featuring beautiful examples found all over DeviantArt and tutorials. I sincerely hope this will get you inspired to try something new and experiment, why not pick a tutorial and see what you learn! Don't forget, whilst techniques has their own regulations and principles, they still can be combined, you have to be no wizard (just a little creative) to find a new way to express yourself through them. Let's take a look
1. Drawing media
Drawing is one of the major forms of expression within the visual arts, and is generally concerned with the marking of lines and areas of tone onto paper. Traditional drawings were monochrome, or at least had little color, while modern colored-pencil drawings may a

Well at the moment im trying to wait to get some decent weather as its pretty shitty as usual here, im after to star shots and am saving up for a decent telescope so i can capture some galaxys which would be amazing. The art project we have been given this term is a fully free roam / do what eva you want topic. I have chose the topic of 'night life' and am doing photography long exposures to capture light in the dark. My teacher seams to be very happy with what ive done so far and is pretty fun because its an exuse to set of fireworks, mess with laser pens and mess around with lights in the pitch back with people, haha. I also plan on getting a bigger lense soon, upto 500mm like the old one we had before my dad sold it It would be so helpful for wildlife photog
Some words on the cheating scandalThis hasn’t been confirmed by the band (at the time of writing this), but there’s very strong evidence that Mikey has cheated on Alicia with another woman, who he’s now engaged to. Normally I wouldn’t bring this up until it was officially confirmed, but I do think certain things need to be said. Some words on the cheating scandal2 years ago in Personal More Like This
First of all, here’s the story: a woman named Sarah (I’ve heard she’s a 20-year-old model) posted photos on her Instagram of her and Mikey kissing and cuddling, and claimed to be engaged to him. Here are the photos: http://ffrankiero.tumblr.com/post/41569121654/moette-what-the-hell-is-going-on-im-so (She made her Instagram private after fans found it and started commenting.)
At first people thought that Mikey and Alicia broke up and didn’t tell anyone, but Alicia tweeted she’s devastated (she’s since made her account private), and Lyn-Z has backed her up and made angry tweets that are presumably about Mikey. So apparently this was news

Move your body when the sunlight dies
Everybody hide your body from the scarecrow
Make a wish when your childhood dies
Hear the knock, knock, knock when she cries
We're all alone tonight
Hold your breath when a black bird flies
Count to seventeen and close your eyes
I'll keep you safe inside
He burns my skin
Nevermind about the shape I'm in

It's not just the artwork that tells you something about it's creator - on the internet, the way you present it is at least equally as important. Your painting can be a masterpiece, hanged in a local gallery, but as long as you post a blurry, badly cropped picture named "1564873" along with "..." in an artist's description, nobody will ever bother visiting your gallery. Creating a nice, representative profile page and setting a certain visual quality standard takes extra time and effort, but if you really care for your work (even if it's just a hobby), you should treat it with some respect.
I've already written a related article called The power of context that tried to explain how to place your work in a context in order to better connect with your audience, this one is focused

Interview with Thomas Xavier (BL/ind OC)BL/ind gets a pretty raw deal-- many people portray their workers as evil, heartless bastards who are slaughtered by heroic Killjoys. But if you look hard enough, there are some people who put effort into making Battery City a detailed, fascinating place and give Dracs and citizens real personalities. 1. What do you do for BL/ind? What's your job like?
Well, I'm a therapist in the hiring process. We require a fairly deep screening process before hiring. The happier and more stable people tend to be, the better they do their job. And when everyone can do their jobs well, well, it's better for everyone. Mainly I just check the medication levels everyone's on, get to know what little family histor

I didn't bother with Spotify at first because I figured it had only mainstream music, but it actually has a huge variety. It does have mainstream music, but it also has loads of obscure/indie songs (yes, I'm a hipster. :iconhipstermikeyplz It's an excellent place to discover new music. These are some of its features:
1. You can make playlists with any songs you want and post them on Facebook or Tumblr or share them with a link. You can also search for playlists to find new music.
2. There are several applications you can download that offer more playlists, musician info, etc. (available for free in the program, so you don't have to download them from outside sources.) My favorite is Sifter, which works similar to Pandora: you type in a song and it gives you several similar songs. I've discovered great music that way.
3. You can read biographies of most bands and musicians, and find similar artists.
4. Like I said, it has incredible variety. It

Stalking vs. Normal Fan BehaviorMy Chemical Romance, as far back as I can remember, has never had a normal fan base. The fans have always had a certain passion and drive for the band that many other bands cannot replicate and arouse in their own fans. This devotion has led to good developments within the fan base with such projects like #Sing it for Japan, a music video driven by mostly fan made creations. Yet amidst all of this are some controversial acts of devotion that have sparked a split within much of the fan base in what is right or wrong.Stalking vs. Normal Fan Behavior2 years ago in Personal More Like This
The controversial behavior in question started to appear more frequently during the band’s Black Parade Tour in 2007. Video footage of fans stalking them to their hotel is all over YouTube: fans screaming for them to sign things well into the night. It should come to no surprise though. My Chemical Romance’s The Black Parade had sold 1,169,697 copies in the U.S alone by August 25, 2007. It was certified as 2X Platinum in the UK. By 2010, in t
Music and visual artPlenty of artists listen to music while they draw and share a song in the artist's comments. I’ve seen these but never thought about listening to the song until I came across a painting influenced by "What The Water Gave Me" by Florence and the Machine.Music and visual art2 years ago in Personal More Like This
The painting and the song are great by themselves, but together they create a whole little world in your imagination. The music at the beginning of the song made me think of echoes of something striking the water, and the vocals gave words to the agony on his face.
Lay me down

With the way his head is tilted back, I could see him lying back in the water and letting it overtake him. The music gave the painting a certain atmosphere, too-- I can't explain it, you'll just have to listen yourself. And you'll probably get a very different feeling from the one I had, but that's what makes art special. Everyone takes something different from it. The painting is beautiful to b

Matt and Kim-- Not That Bad
I've wanted to include a Matt and Kim song for a while but couldn't decide on one. This is from their new album "Lightning," and I think it shows how they can alternate between gleeful music to more serious tones (sometimes in the same song.) If you listen to more of their songs-- and you should-- you're in for a treat. They're catchy like pop, but their songs are inventive and unique enough to satisfy pop-haters. Great band.
