This was a logo and logo treatment for Montreal based restaurant, Cadillac Burger. Cadillac burger will be opening later this year in core downtown Montreal, Quebec. They'll serve classic hamburgers, poutine, onion rings etc. all with very high quality ingredients and cooking techniques. All this in a comfortable, fresh, urban environment.
I'm very happy with the final results of the logo treatment. I think it illustrates the more classy "Cadillac" theme with the diamonds and flowers and then the more down to earth rustic feel with the cleavers and wood grains. Client was great to work with and very precise on what they wanted but also allowing me to have artistic freedom ie: eyeballs, coral, purple coloring, typo style etc.

“The mind is not a machine, it is an idea. And the Idea resists all attempts to control it.” - Bernard Beckett
This is more of a meta concept. I almost called it “I love digital art” but that was too corny… It’s all about the ability to create any reality with the technology we are fortunate enough to have. It’s truly an amazing feeling to be able to render anything your imagination comes up with.
I approached a number of artists awhile back to each create a piece based on my Last Vampire Astronaut character. I tried to mix up the style of artists but also select artists I respected. The only stipulation I had was to keep some of the same thematic elements such as the crystals, brains, astronauts, and of course vampires. Besides that, I left it up to the artist to interpret the original design in anyway they wished.
We compiled the outcome into a 19 Artist wallpack which includes 20 different wallpapers all at 1920x1200 and 1600x1200 resolutions. You can download the wallpack by hitting "download" on the right hand side.
Also we are looking into possibly turning this into a gallery show here in Seattle. If and when this will happen though remains to be seen.
Involved artists are: 13fngrs, Alexandra Marchocka, Caramelaw, Cynthia França, Filip Komorowski, Glenn Arthur, Grelin Machin, Humannature84, Jackson Armstrong, Jared K. Nickerson, Nemons, Price, Quillograma, Raphael Vicenzi, Rubens Cantuni, Smatik, STBNSDBN, Stephen Chan, Wardell Brown
Title: The Great Destroyer Client: Soyu Project: Creative Zodiac Art Direction & Illustration: Jthree Concepts/Jared K. Nickerson
This is for the upcoming Crative Zodiac release by Soyu. The idea was to have an artwork based on a specific animal. I love dogs and have never actually used one in any of my design/illustration work, so it seemed fitting. I tried to combine a number of different cultural references. including Chinese, Japanese, Egyptian, Mayan and North American. I based the core character on my reoccurring female character; Persephone. This current iteration of her I based on an Egyptian Anubis with android-like features.
and I have been trying to work together for a few months now, and apparently within the last week or so, was just the right time. We reviewed a few designs to render in 3D, designs that would show off my style but also give Teodoru enough artistic freedom to add his own style to the piece. "Your Disco is Dead" seemed to be the perfect piece for that.
We are both very happy with the outcome, and I loved how Teo brought his own style to the piece. Hopefully this is a precursor to more projects with Teo.
