ULTIMATELY DIVINE FEATUREI have for you here one of the most time-consuming features I've done thus far -- I actually took the time to code all of this on my own. This feature was put together with these two songs in mind: http://youtu.be/eb37jng7LMI or http://youtu.be/d7R7q1lSZfs. Feel free to play either as you browse, they're two of my most favorite songs of all time...that aren't reggae and that are in English, performed pre-1980........ the good don't stayI blinked, shifted and cringed. My body was sore, my mind was cloudy and everything throbbed, especially my feet. I blinked a few more times. Goodness, my eyelids were heavy and my wrists itched—how scratchy the blanket upon my chest was! I took in a deep breath and tried to get past the blurriness.the good don't stay2 years ago in Personal More Like This
"It looks like we have a survivor. How are you feeling?"
Turning my head, I saw a white coat, and as my eyes drifted up, there was a stethoscope, assorted pens stuffed inside a pocket, a clean-shaven chin and grey eyes. I opened my mouth, but closed it again, because my tongue was dry and I really didn't feel like talking to anyone. Honestly, I was awful at dying. Everything was trying to do me in, even myself, but I just wouldn't.
And then shame filled me when what I had done truly sunk in:
I could have died.
I wiggled my fingers—I was alive.
"How am I feeling?" I rasped as my old temper was aroused by the absurdity of the doctor's question. "I feel fine. Absolutely goddamn dandy. N

SickHe could hear it, the bloody figure walking behind him over nimble feet. Then his eyes were forced to close as cold, bony fingers covered his sight. Nails like claws buried deep into his cheek as she breathed softly, surely bloody lips drawn into that scornful smile he both loved and detested.Sick2 years ago in Personal More Like This
And then she was gone, back into the sweet torments of his mind. And then, like venom, she left him on the floor, dead and strangely calm.
I had to get this out of my head.
I know, I'm weird.

Making Sense of Modern Art: Joel SwansonWhen an art museum features a piece titled "Lady Gaga's Twitter Feed Translated into Morse Code", you really have to see for yourself. So it was that I headed down to the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) in Denver today, to see an exhibit of Joel Swanson's work.Making Sense of Modern Art: Joel Swanson5 months ago in Art Features More Like This
The afforementioned work was pretty much as its title indicated: a small LED set atop a white box, incessantly blinking, displaying the pop singer's twitter feed in visual dots and dashes. Per the museum program, "Transforming the ones and zeroes of contemporary technology into the dots and dashes of Morse code brings the two languages together and indicates how similar the two are..." Clever? Sort of. Interesting? Mmmm...maybe, as a starting point to discussing the history of language and communication. Art? I don't think so.
The rest of the exhibit contained further exploration of "language in its literal and physical forms". Examples:
the word "th

This is a pricing list to how much we at Sellers-Showcase suggest you sell your work for, according to various sources on the internet. These do not apply to digital artists and photographers, as we will be promoting your prints.
Please keep in mind that these are just suggestions, and at the end of the day it is entirely up to the artist in question as to how much is charged for their work.
Rate per hour:
- It is recommended that you pay yourself the minimum wage for your country. For example,
United Kingdom - £4.98 per hour
USA - $7.25 per hour
European Average - €5.80 per hour.
- This will also cover the size of your work, as you are more likely to spend more time on a larger piece anyway.

Abstract and Surreal DDs for DecemberI think we're much smarter than we were.Abstract and Surreal DDs for December3 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Everybody knows that abstract art can be art,
and most people know that they may not like it,
even if they understand there's another purpose to it.
Surrealism is destructive, but it destroys only
what it considers to be shackles limiting our vision.

"Copyright infringement and theft are both illegal—along with jaywalking, murder, and speeding—but they’re otherwise quite different acts, which are quite properly treated very differently as a matter of law, and prioritized differently as a matter of enforcement practice. The most obvious reason the analogy fails is that theft...involves depriving the owner of the thing that’s stolen."

When school ended I thankfully accepted a ride home in Emil's new Plymouth, and while it made me feel terribly selfish, I just couldn't bring myself to wait around for Saul, because his first hour teacher had given him an after-school detention for that morning's tardy. Thankfully, my best friend was of the accepting, generally easygoing variety, and he didn't seem all too perturbed by my decision when I informed him at lunch.
"And I'll have you know that I wouldn't have waited for you either," he told me matter-of-factly.
"That's bosh, Saul," I told him. "In fact, you owe me at least one wait. Remember that day last year when I waited by the bleachers to walk with you to town? In fact, I waited fifteen goddamn minutes for you to finish snogging Pia Grünwald-"
"Hey, hey—she wanted a little kiss so I gave her one! Didn't want to hurt her feelings-"
"You really are a gentleman, Saul. Taking one for the team, were you?" said Erich,

More Greek mythology in Portal?Just a minor edit to this: This is actually appliable only to the Portal 1 series I was just amazed that greek mythology CAN be applied to the first game just as it was obviously applied to Portal 2.More Greek mythology in Portal?2 years ago in Personal More Like This
After answering a comment on DevArt I realized that Rattmann's and Chell's story is much like the story of Ariadne and Theseus. Doug being Ariadne and Chell Theseus who is suppose to kill the Minotaur, aka, GLaDOS.
His scribblings in the Portal 1 game were unicolor (red) - much like the most paintings depict Ariadne's thread to be red-colored. Also, the whole Aperture building is like a maze and at some point you have to rely on his drawings (the thread) to find the right way through.
All this leads to the Minotaur - the ultimate boss, GLaDOS.
Ariadne also fell in love with Theseus on first sight - much like Rattmann had endeared Chell as his only hope even though he barely knew her.
Ariadne had eloped with Theseus (just like Rattmann was supp
