Klaus : more than just a pretty boySo, I've always gotten a very positive response from readers and watchers whenever Klaus is mentioned, but for those who have not read my book and especially my final draft, I don't feel like you know him well enough. So I've decided to share a few new Klaus scenes that I've written recently to develop his character more.Klaus : more than just a pretty boy2 years ago in Personal More Like This
around Chapter 8 at Edith's dinner party in late June
"Would you care to accompany me to the veranda for a cigarette?" he asked. "There's one on the second floor, and it's getting a bit stuffy in here."
I agreed, and soon we were standing out on the lanai, elbows leaning upon the cool iron, the brisk summer wind rustling the ivy that crawled up the side of the railing. Klaus pulled a pack of cigarettes from his waistcoat pocket along with a lighter. Imprinted in the copper were the letters K&K, and suddenly I wanted to ask him what had happened the other day—what Heinrich had said about choosing the Gypsy over him. I didn't have time to ask though, because K

What will you do to save the arts?
Foreword by techgnotic
As an artist you need to be aware that something very bad is being brewed. Under cover of corporate and bureaucratic darkness, art as you could know it on the Internet will die. “.ART “ will be lost. You need to carefully read “Save Dot Art” right now—before another battle for the future of art on the Internet is lost.
This plea to the “ICANN” is dense and full of unfamiliar acronyms, but it’s essential
Truth Is? :POkay, not to be a completely stereotypical teenager slut that wants likes on their facebook status but... I'm going to go out there and say favorite this journal if you want to be featured in my completely honest journal of truth. This journal will include things like how I view you and why I'm friends with you. It will also include constructive criticism on your life. I'm in an honest mood and I want to tell people what they might not want to hear but what they need to hear. I'm not going to be a jerk (or a bitch) and say stuff like "Zomg. U so ugle. Y U NO DIE?!" And I'm also not going to make it short. It's not going to look like "U is rly nice and u is a goud freind." It will be a well thought out paragraph about what I really think about you. And don't worry, I won't put hateful things. Because I don't hate anyone. ((Except Troy and Nicki Minaj and a few select "characters")) Sooo if you want me to talk about you to the world, FAV MAH JOURNAL! Scene from 'The Moon in the Door'Based off a recent experience I had while visiting a cemetery to see my great grandmother's grave.Scene from 'The Moon in the Door'2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Shiloh stopped for a moment, pausing in front of an especially old tombstone. He knelt and ran his hand along its face, feeling the indents of the words.
Matthew Jonathan Mayland
April 15th, 1904 January 1st, 1921
Loving son, caring friend.
"Shiloh, what's the matter?" asked Emmy.
He didn't answer. He just crouched, his fingers freezing to the stone, his breath rising in clouds from his parted lips.
"I'm scared," he said finally.
"Why are you scared?"
He shook his head. "All these people here, all these people under us, they were once alive, right? They breathed. They smiled. They cried and sometimes the wanted to die. But they all had their own lives and stories and problems, and we don't know any of them. We don't know anything at all." He bowed his head slightly. "The kid underneath this grave, he was my age when he died. He was seventeen. He had a mum and a dad and a family
Getting rid of love triangle in PS's first halfI feel like it's too cliche, and might give people the impression that Sara is super beautiful and lovely and alluring to the opposite sex, which is obviously untrue. So, Sara and Saul's relationship will basically be platonic for most of the book until the end, which will signify how different they are after the war. Benjamin and Saul end up reconciling their petulant squabble instead of pouting like two pouty man-children, and instead of Saul and Sara's fighting being centered around the kiss, which seems, looking back, very immature, childish and predictable, it's going to be around:Getting rid of love triangle in PS's first half2 years ago in Personal More Like This
1. The fact that Sara refuses to back down from arguments
2. Her inability to listen and empathize
3. Saul's inability to accept responsibility and apologize
4. Their socio-economic differences and how this affects their futures:
Saul can't afford college and feels as though Sara is patronizing him for this and
"leaving him behind" for a cultured, well-traveled adult life.
Sample of fight:

5 Art Selling TipsWhile I used to see "art sales" simply as bonus money coming in on the side, over the past few years it's become enough of an asset that it justifies an art dealer, record keeping, insurance, and taxes at the end of each year. It's currently 25% of my total income, and that has a lot of impact over my work. And just like storytelling, design and page flow--abstract principles that keep my career afloat daily--art sales also deserve to be studied, theorized, and understood.5 Art Selling Tips2 years ago in Personal More Like This
These are guidelines, not rules. And while most of them usually work for me, they might not all work for you, so keep in mind that my market might be different than yours. Because not only do we not draw the same, we probably have different sorts of buyers.
1. Don't stay on a book for too long
I find that doing mini series of 4-12 issues is optimal for selling art. If you spend a year doing one-shots or 2-3 issue minis, you'll be hard for buyers to keep track of because it's too infrequent. And it's hard to make an i

-Your two main characters have to change a flat tire, in the rain. (This exercise helps you to learn more about your characters through handling adversitywhich can be very telling!)
And here is the result

"It was a bloody good jolt, that's for certainI think you might've gone off the road for a minute."
"Of course I didn't go off the road, you pratI'm not that bad of a driver."
"That's a good laugh, Crow. I've got a damn prosthetic and I drive better than youwait, what the hell are you slowing down for?"
"I'm not slowing down! I haven't even taken my foot off the gas!"
"Well what does it look like we're doing? Sara, pull over, for Christ's sake, I think we've got a flat tire."
"Bollocks, we're fine."
"Look out your window: we're hardly even moving!"
"I can't see out because of the goddamn rain!"
"No need to pull over, then,

Beadweaving feature - Rock and Roll All NiteHiya all.Beadweaving feature - Rock and Roll All Nite3 years ago in Personal More Like This
It's been a year since I wrote my first beadweaving article. Since then I've featured nearly 1500 deviations by over 100 deviants. I've covered beadweaving stitches, some non-weaving techniques, different types of jewelry and more. It doesn't happen very often that I get asked to do a particular theme. This time it was :iconvomitingunicorn: who asked me to pick some goth-punk-grunge beaded jewelry. Unfortunately, I couldn't find that many punk/grunge pieces, but I hope that this selection (the biggest one so far) will help you find what you are looking for.
By the way, does anyone know how to submit journal to art news instead personal?
