The third character commission for ~Squeake and his RPG group! This one is the daughter of a Hindu water goddess; I think she's been my favorite of the bunch so far! The water effects were a blast to do.
Some more Blizzard fanart, cause they do cool things. Just having some fun being nostalgic about BC days when I was at my peak of WoWhood.
Had a lot of fun with this piece, it was one of those few that just kind of flowed from start to finish and never caused much trouble. It's also good practice as I'm trying to push myself to draw more complex armor lately. Getting better slowly but surely!
Also saved progress shots on this one, so here's a start to finish process gif: [Link]
Another character commission, this one for mah friend =CrowbarTK-Hullo of her character Calnin!
Really enjoyed this one, nothing quite like painting crazy alien dudes with glowy energy wings! Funnily, this isn't the first time I've painted this guy, the last one is a rather horrific sight to see- [link] Oh the joy of old things.
Finally got some time in between client work to crank out some personal / portfolio work! As with most great ideas, I had the first thought for this in the shower, I just randomly envisioned the headpiece and thought it would be cool to make a character based on it. Originally she was a much lighter character, wearing all white and being a sun priestess, but as it progressed things got darker and darker, but I'm ok with that.
Also tried a bit of a new process by jumping right in to color rather than doing value with washes on top, which was a lot of fun; and saved progress shots all along the way, so I'll probably either upload a step-by-step gif or make some kind of walkthrough of it soon.
This was one of those frustration doodles that came from not being able to draw anything a few days ago, and it actually came out pretty cool so I ended up finishing it. Was a fun, pretty quick painting, and I think it ended up looking pretty cool!
It's probably bad that my go-to subject matter when braindead is horrific face-eating demons. Oh well.
