Version with ears! So, basically, the rules to designing one:
Two colors. Any colors. (yes, including greyscale)
One color is for:
tail fur (basically, hair in general)
and symbol lines.
The other color is for:
glowy parts (tail orb + antenna ends),
and symbol circles. The amount of circles depends on the amount of pupils.
Antennas are straight-ish for females and curvy for males, and they can go in any direction.
Skin is always white. As in literally white. No exceptions. (not on sprites, anyway. in art, it may get tinted by blood. it's more likely than for trolls.)
They may wear anything you want them to wear, as long as they wear their symbol anywhere visible. (The symbol is a form of identification, ok)
The clothes are usually in their own colors. That's because they get a thing (some sort of necklace with their symbol on it) that makes clothes in the store match them and add their symbol to it, and these colors get fixed to it once it's bought. That necklace also works like some sort of passport and key to their home. So it wouldn't be wise to wear it anywhere visible, haha.
They are either nocturnal (night) or diurnal (day). Which one depends on the individual. The nocturnal ones tend to glow brighter and see things better in the dark, but they also react worse to daylight. And this also means that an inhabited area never sleeps; there's always somebody who's awake and it's completely normal. In broad daylight you see colorful buildings, while at night you see bright neon patterns covering the same buildings. It's like two worlds in one.

Those dots are pupils. They don't really show up until a certain age, as before then, the irises are completely black. Each amount of pupils means something:1:
The "normal" amount of pupils to pretty much all other creatures, but to this race it's sorta uncommon, happens like once a generation per town, and it grants them power over their hometown/city once they're all grown up. 2:
Glowans with twice as many pupils as a "normal creature" (i. e. human) get placed somewhere nice, such as in a nice mansion near a pretty lake or on a mountain or wherever you can think of. They may also move into more a common place if they wish, like one of the cities/towns threes live in, or even the rural areas for fours or the villages for fives. But they might be kind of weird then. Still, the possibility is there.
They may also end up in suburbs, and this is the area that twos and threes share. There are houses in the suburbs that are specifically meant for twos. 3: The most common!
They end up either in an apartment or some small-ish house, which may or may not depend on whether they grew up in a city or town. (Cities have skyscrapers.) 4:
Rural areas. This is the working class, the second most common amount. They tend to work in the fields, providing food and that stuff, and they live in farms containing up to twelve glowans. Which farm they get sent to depends on whether they're nocturnal or diurnal; the farms are either one or another. (also yes, there are plants that thrive on moon light and are active at night. that's a thing)
They may only move out of this place once they're all grown up.5:
Villages! These villages are usually located somewhere wild, like in a tundra, desert, forest, etc. The villages are rather small in size; About 10-20 inhabitants is common. They are not allowed to move away; how would they, anyway? Villages are usually in the middle of nowhere.
These guys are mutants. They get no official symbol
(any mutant who does have a symbol either got adopted before having their pupils revealed (which is really, really uncommon) or, they made up a symbol for themselves which they usually just painted on (so their clothes wouldn't be colorful).
Andtheir antenna ends get cut off
to prevent them from reproducing and they usually end up on the streets, unless they're able to escape that fate somehow.
They are not very common, though it's still more common than 1.
As for why they get treated like this, the royalty must have had some grudge against them at some point? Yeah. So there is no place for them.
This species is pacifistic, so they don't really bother with killing them either. That's a troll thing to do.
Then there's also the zeros, aka those with like billions of pupils, who are extremely rare and always end up as royals. It's better to avoid this amount when making one; after all, there are only four of them in canon history.
I was not intending to make this description an essay at all, so if you want even more info about them, go here please: [link]Disclaimer:
The original base does NOT belong to me, it's based on Homestuck and all I really did here was making the fanspecies, adding all those pupils and that tail. That's it.
Also, those red lines are for aligning things, and you should probably remove them when you're done.
I considered submitting this as a scrap because i'm pretty sure nobody watched me for.. this. Or maybe you were looking for something like this? Who knows.
Anyway, if you do decide to make one for yourself, make sure to tag me in it. Or comment, maybe. I want to see. :>
