I've been married for 42 years, we have 1 daughter and a darling grandson.

How did you discover deviantART ?
I have discovered DA by playing with Google like a lot's of deviant here
And fractals, what about fractals ? How did you discover them and start to create them ?
I started with Ultra Fractal about 5 years ago.
I was a bit on Google, and discovered fractals, and it fascinated me enormously, and I started looking for fractal websites.

What is really interesting in the fractal community, is the way deviants interact between each others to share their knowledge with tutorial or Parameters Pong (Sharing Parameters to tweak the main fractals).
Therefore, in this article I'm going to select a resource randomly and show you how to start from a tutorial to achieve a wonderful fractal.
This week, let's take a look at `lindelokse tutorial : Apophysis 3D Blooms Tutorial
This tutorial is an evolution of her first tutorial about 2D blooms.

Not So Traditional Tuesdays #4My plan is to keep the features fresh for me(and you) and maybe open a few eyes to all the different kinds of artwork that is available while browsing the deviantArt galleries. The things that make one piece of art great applies, for the most part, to other genres. A painter can learn how light and shadow fall from photography, photo-manipulators can learn about composition from a great Manga drawing, and literature can give you the inspiration to try something new or take your work to the next step. You may never try all art forms you see! You can however take what you learn from them and incorporate that into your own work. I've only been on dA going on 2 years now, but I started using dAmn shortly after, maybe 3 months after I joined dA back in I believe September or October of 2010

The Rising Stars of Photomanipulation series focuses on individuals who are up-and-coming talents in the photomanipulation community. These individuals have been on our site for varying lengths of time and have different styles and tastes in art, but all are developing some pretty awesome skills and deserve your attention.
This week, I am really excited to introduce you to Sara, =sara-hel, a Lebanese deviant who has been with our community for 2 years. She excels at many styles of photomanipulation, but for me what stands out about her art is that it is very emotive. When I look at her work, I get drawn into it, as there is always a story or meaning there that makes me want to know more. Also, it has not gone unnoticed that she generously gives back to the community by providing stock and tutorials.
