This was originally a marker sketch which I was only planning to quickly splash some color in Photoshop. But the more I stared at it the more I didn't like her face and I kept retouching and retouching and retouching...it wouldn't end! Fortunately, sleep deprivation made me stop.
Sold at NYCC 2012. I started this piece at last year's NYCC in 2011 and finished it just a day before this year's NYCC. Done in copic markers, ink, pro white, charcoal and oil pencils. Tomorrow on Oct 21st is officially Women of Wonder Day! I have another Wonder Woman piece being auctioned for charity. It's for a good cause check it out!
I did this for the Women of Wonder Day (Formerly Wonder Woman Day) charity auction. Since, I first heard about it many years ago, I've been wanting to donate a piece. I've finally gotten around to do one!
It's for raising funds for Domestic Violence charity programs. A good cause so check it out.
Wonder of Woman Day is on October 30th, 2011.
Photoshopped over markers. The final print was printed on high-quality semi-gloss photo paper. The auction does not accept all digital work so I included the original marker illustration. You can see it here.
