If you can recognize each of the references.....you are my hero/heroine
I guess the obvious one is Mare do well, referencing Darkwing Duck (again)
**************** EDIT! CONGRATS , you were the first one to recognize them, you really are my hero
Ok, now for those who have no idea:
- Twilight as Inspector Gadget ---> [link] - Applejack as Bravestarr ---> [link] (this character is simply perfect for her) - Rarity as Gizmoduck (Ducktales, Darkwing Duck subsequently) ----> [link] - Rainbow Dash as Underdog (the old cartoon, not that stupid movie) ---> [link] - Pinkie Pie as Freakazoid ---> [link] (yeah, it has been done before) - Fluttershy as......well, you already know, the other reference ---> [link]

Celestia and GLaDOS at their weekly reunion at the Cake Club. This time, GLaDOS brought a special gift to her friend, but I guess someone is not happy about it...
What do you think they are talking about? What should I do to improve? Please, share your thoughts, every comment is appreciated! xD
Fun facts about this one: 1) This is the first time I draw a robot (GLaDOS counts as a robot, right? ) 2) This is the first time I draw a person 3) This is the first time I draw a background like this 4) This took Celestia knows how many hours. But it was a lot 5) 'This' is the word I used to start all these sentences

I had a great deal of fun with. It took 4 days because i kept adding and changing back ground and setting ideas (plus the poses for each individual character was planned out to be amusing to the overall scene) . Went for an every day scenario in the end. No epic Equestria battles just causal waiting for the train to ponyville to chase havoc or some jazz.
This is one of my more colourful fan art pieces i have ever done.
You may notice a lot of crazy stupid puns for manehattan areas and a lot of subtle and not so subtle references to the awesome Brony community and NYC itself make this piece visually more engaging.
Manehattan is the place to be

I suppose the genesis of this piece came from a bizarre realization I had whilst searching the internet a few months ago. Despite Batman/MLP:FiM crossover fan art being pretty easy to find, I could not, for the life of me, find the one type of art that should be the most obvious to make: Twilight Sparkle dressed up as Batgirl from The New Batman Adventures (for those of you playing at home, Tara Strong voiced both Twilight and Barbara Gordon/Batgirl).
I decided that this void had to be filled.
So, I met Tara Strong at the Toy Art Gallery autograph signing a little later and informed her of this grave fan art deficiency. She suggested that I take a stab at it myself.
...And so I did! ^_^
I suppose I could have just called it a day after drawing Twilight, but I felt that wasn't quite enough this time. When looking for inspiration, I remembered the animated movie Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman. I hadn't seen it, but the title had stuck in my head, and thus I decided on Batmare: Mystery of the Mare Do Well.
Figuring that I shouldn't just take inspiration without properly inspecting the source, I watched the movie before making this piece. Not only is it a pretty good movie, but in a surprisingly lucky twist... let's just say that casting Mare Do Well in the role of Batwoman turned out to be extremely appropriate. Tara herself is even in the movie, though sadly only for a small Barbara Gordon cameo.
UPDATE: On Saturday, February 23rd at Las Pegasus Unicon, I actually managed to deliver a framed print of this piece directly to Tara Strong! She loved it! Photo evidence here: [link] ^_^
