SoP: Round One, Part One
Clarissa sat at the edge of the bed, staring blankly at nothing. She had barely moved since arriving the evening before. Dawn was beginning to trickle in through the window behind her. She sat in silence, watching her shadow gradually stretch itself across the carpet.
Her door creaked open. A woman with pale, ashy skin and black, wavy hair entered. She placed the long package she was carrying on the dresser and looked over at Clarissa's slumped form. "What's wrong, human?" she sneered. "Crying like a baby because your powers are gone?" The woman walked to the bed and leaned forward, bringing her face just a few inches away from Clarissa. She peered through Clarissa's thin, blonde bangs. "Should've thought twice when you had the chance," she hissed. She chuckled meanly and straightened up. "Humans are such stupid creatures," she said out loud to no one.
Clarissa hadn't moved. She hadn't even glanced up. The woman watched her for a few moments, absentmindedly running her fingers through

Clarissa sneaked down the stairs as quickly and quietly as possible. The dormitory was only the floor below, and she was determined to reach her room without being seen by any of the other contestants. She dashed across the common room to the double doors. She pressed one open, stepped into the hall, and stopped suddenly.
There were only eight doors.
Clarissa kicked the carpet in frustration. She was going to have to knock on doors until someone agreed to help her find her room, which meant the other contestants would see how badly she was hurt.
She couldn't let that happen.
Carefully, Clarissa began scanning the nameplates on the doors. She remembered that hers had had a large, plain, curved symbol, followed by a tall thin one, and several small, stout ones. She was sure she could find the right room if she could find the right plate.
She stopped in front of a door with exactly this on the brass plate. With a sigh of relief, Clarissa turned the knob and pushed the door open.

It was the beginning of the semi-finals and the remaining four were waiting in the portal room, ready to begin their second to last run. DJ sighed as she sat on the floor, crossed legged and with a hand on her cheek. The blue demon hadn't slept at all the previous nights ever since she saw the giant wolf rat named Cookie become a Cookie Crisp. As funny as that sounded to DJ, it was horrible, having to yank the crystal off of the charred and wrinkled remains and tap it on what DJ thought was Cookie's forehead. This thought induced another sigh from the hell spirit as she mumbled to herself, out loud "At least the body was still recognizable...." DJ buried her face into her hands and ran her claws through her thick, black hair.
A large demonic man surveyed the room, grinning ever so sadistically at the four. Aiden approached, "So you four have made it to the semi-finals, well done~" his voice slithered, causing DJ to shiver slightly and look up. The large man still smiled, as if just sta

Clarissa wandered out of her room into the hall. She had barely noticed it as she had been led to her room the night before, but now she saw that it was lined with doors, eight on each side. She turned to look at her own door and noticed a small brass plate on it with some symbols etched into its surface. She stepped into the middle of the hall and saw that all the doors had little plates on them. She began trying to read the one on her own door.
There was a click and a creak a few feet behind her. Clarissa turned around quickly. A pasty demon in a striped shirt shut his bedroom door behind him as he stepped into the hall. He watched Clarissa with suspicion as he walked past her to a set of double doors at the end of the hallway. Clarissa silently waited until he had gone through before following him. Perhaps he was going to some kind of banquet hall. Her stomach rumbled at the thought. She was starving.
Clarissa recognized the room as she opened one of the doors. This was the place sh

Clarissa limped into the main floor of the crystal tower. She was exhausted, dehydrated, filthy, and hungry. Her right arm caressed her injured left arm carefully as she slowly made her way over to the tree woman who had brought her to this wretched tournament.
Clarissa hobbled over. "Can you tell me where the infirmary is? Or at least somewhere I can find things to patch myself up with?" Fatigue had taken the fire out of her demeanor. She didn't even have enough energy to be angry at the tree woman for her current condition.
Hirat nodded. "You'll find the infirmary on the fourth floor. It's the only door there."
Clarissa nodded and walked slowly over to the stairs. Her bruised left leg made it difficult to step up, but she eventually made it to the fourth floor. Clarissa pushed open the infirmary door with her good arm.
It was very minimalistic. Eight white cots lined two of the walls, four on each side. Another contestant was babbling in his native tongue at a dark haired man who was

Clarissa sat in a tall winged armchair in the common room. She tapped her index finger against the steaming mug of tea in her hand as she watched the clock above the roaring fireplace. There were still two revolutions of the long stick left before the midday mark. She could feel her anxiety building with every tiny tick.
Clarissa lifted the mug slowly to her lips. Her hands were shaking.
It took her twenty ticks to finish her tea. It felt like an eternity. Clarissa stood up and set the mug on a low table. She didn't know what else to do, so she went back to her room.
She prepared herself as best she could. Sewing her skirt out of the way wasn't an option without the use of her left hand, so she found other things to do. She carefully tucked the brass knuckles and broken necklace into the empty space in her sling and, after discovering she couldn't conjure needles in quick succession, spent the rest of her time pacing and slowly collecting needles, pinning them all in a row into her sli
SOP: Episode Two - Fire It UpOur scene opens with Max walking around the burning forest labeled the 'Hirat Forest.' In his right hand was his claymore dragging behind him in the dirt of the ground. His opponent was one who he shared words with before they had even gotten to the forest: the Robotic Organism Build Only for Killing, collective known as just ROBOK. The man or rather just it, was most likely a cyborg as only those with a soul were allowed to enter the tourney. But that wasn't what told Max that he was human. It was that laugh. The twisted laugh that the robot gave after he admitted to use the power to murder more people. Max grabbed his head and groaned in agony as it stuck to his head. Sooner or later, though, he ended up tripping and falling face-first into the ground.
Ow! What in the hell just tripped me?
He looked back at his foot to see the remains of what looks like a statue made completely out of wood.
Just what are you?
S-O-P ROUND 1:ROY VS COOKIEWaking up from his slumber,a half awake Roy Masuko went to the bathroom, and got in the shower. While he letting the fast going drops of water hit his forehead and body,he was deep in thought."Who will I fight? Will I win? Will I ever see Carole again? Some many questions...and so little time...." He got out of the shower and puts his clothes on. "Well,I get some food. I'm freaking starving..." He then left his room and went to get bite to eat after his bath and he was so hungry,he ate 5 plates of french fries and rice. He soon headed back to his room thinking again. "I wonder....this tournament...we all are fighting for power...but why? I don't want to be strong,I just want to protect my world....that's my goal..my goal, that's it! I'm going to fight, not for glory, but to destroy this ultimate power before it falls into the wrong hands...." His goal and mission was clear and knew that he had to win the tournament, even if it meant certain doom. Then,he heard that it was time to begin the tS-O-P ROUND 1:ROY VS COOKIE1 year ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
SoP R1 Epilogue - Abubakar MusesThe tall prince sat on the edge of the hard bed, moodily staring at the small, brown crystal held tightly gripped in his incomplete right hand. On a small table nearby sat a large, silver tray of food. Fine lamb steaks smothered in mint sauce glistened, untouched, beside a ceramic bowl of thick, curried venison stew and a steaming hot loaf of bread, their aromas intoxicating and tempting. Abubakar didn't even glance their way. His stomach was queasy, as it had been for days following the conclusion of his first battle in Aidan's realm.SoP R1 Epilogue - Abubakar Muses1 year ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"How long have I been lied to?"
Abubakar stared into the crystal's faceted surface, his question hanging heavy and unanswered. He sighed, curling his hand to completely enclose the crystal, and slowly closed his eyes. "For so long," he said to the crystal, "I had been lead to believe I was the best. None could match me in wits or steel, or so I thought. But you proved it all wrong."
A soft chuckle escaped Abubakar's throat. "I could
