We're having a pretty shitty spring. It had just stopped raining before I took this photo. Slowly, but inevitably, the weather is improving.

The interesting thing here is that the sun is still pretty high above the horizon - this is around 25 minutes before sunset.

Location: North arm of the Fraser River, Richmond, Beautiful British Columbia.
Equipment: Nikon D90 + Tokina 11-16mm @ ISO 200 f/8.
Technique: Photomatix Pro 4.0 and Photoshop CS5 from 3 RAW exposures.
Download: Up to 2560x1600, 2560x1440, and 1600x1200.

Exact same place can look very different -

I saw these flowers while staying in a XIV century château in Brittany and they reminded me of ^Anoya who has a couple of photographs of similar flowers in her Gallery, so I decided to use my Lensbaby (which is also a tool she inspired me to get) and shot a series of close-ups for her Natural Colours contest.
I nearly used Air for the title as well, mainly because I was looking for something French and I needed something light and airy! :giggle:

Finally, I called it Éclat d'Arpège, as a memory of a Lanvin perfume I used to have, presented in a delicate purple bottle. It had a light fruity floral notes, it blended femininity and sensuality, spontaneity and elegance.

Merapi's view from Yogyakarta :)

Well, for the New Beginnings in Nature contest, I'm seeing this as one because it had been exploded and the materials from the volcano destroyed the original field. This is the scenery after the eruption.

As always, critics and comments are MOST welcome :D
