The Postman 12"x12", acrylic on canvas, prints available Wrapped up this painting this morning, happy with the results and how things balanced out. I think this will be the last new painting before the studio tour at the end of October (might be a couple drawings, prep sketches) www.brentschreiber.com [link] firstname.lastname@example.org
I tried something different and enjoyed this . It's made on extra smooth paper with staedler mars graphic pencils. I used a tissue paper to blend the graphite and blending stumps on little areas. the size it's A4
Commission I've been working on for a very long time soon to be on it's way stateside (hope you like it Shawn!). Think I started this one towards the end of last year but with my regular full time job leaving me little spare time aswell as fitting another commission in between [link] it only recently got finished.
Being A3 sized too which is larger than I'm used to, it was a long haul but I really enjoyed this one as it was a beautiful example of an early bug, nice colour, classic wheels, attention to detail, and hit with the lowering stick on all four corners bigtime!! My only gripe was the tree just behind the front end, to get it spot on would've meant pretty much drawing every single leaf which I certainly didn't have the patience for!
Portrait of Britney Spears... it's finally finished! this started as an experiment to try Canson Mi-Teintes paper, I stopped several times along the way to draw different other portraits and now the journey is over. I can't wait to frame it and work on my next portrait that I'll keep for my own personal gallery.
Canson Mi-Teintes gray paper - 30x40cm Faber-Castell pencils (several grades) White pastel by Conté Nero extrasoft Cretacolor oil charcoal pencil Wolff's 6B Carbon pencil (just powder) ...and a little trick for the darkest areas in her hair: a Japanese brush pen.
Thank you everyone for following the progress of this portrait, that was really much appreciated!
