I joined Deviant Art I few years back bright eyed and hopeful. I tried to show case some talent I felt I had and over a period gained a handful of friends. Like most folks in the last several years the hard times came and with that I slowly faded away from this friendly art community. Two hours and thirty minutes left and the contest if over, start wrapping the artwork up and get it in before midnight pacific coast time tonight.JULY 18TH. It might take me a week to pick the winners out there has been some amazing entries.
I warn you do not send plagiarism stuff and try to pass it off as your own or I will try to get you banned. If you make money off of your stolen artwork I will contact the artist and they will deal with you. Specially if it's a gaming company and the previous owner is someone I know. I advised all of you not to use game art. When I said I game and I'm an avid fantasy collector I was not lieing. Also I haven't played every game out their like Skyrim (I know shun the none believer) so again do not enter art that looks like you copied it from in-game content are you will be disqualified. If I don't know it some fan might and point it out.

I am switching gears as there are some great prizes - and I have to update the prize list!!
The contest is "Legends, Myths, and Fairy Tales". Each person can enter two pieces. Tell me a legend, fairy tale or myth- one of your own, or retell an old one. Change the ending of a classic and give it a new twist. Combine several tales at once - be creative. The two categories are literature (Poetry and Prose) and Digital Art.
Please send your entry by message here and put "Contest" in the subject line. Include the thumbnail. The description needs to have the name of the contest (Legends, Myths and Tales) and link to my page! All pieces must be new works. The new contest starts April 27 and ends June 30.

We are officially launching our spring/summer 2012 contest today, with the theme being "The Sands of Time". The theme is as open ended as you want to make it, though we encourage you to be as creative as possible with the brief. We are looking for original, creative, and imaginative pieces, and the winners will be pick from those submissions which best fulfill these ideals. You must include at least one piece of our stock in your art, either as a reference or a photo manipulation. The closing date is midnight Pacific Standard Time 31st July 2012, and please see the rules below for full details.
At the end of each week we will feature all the entries submitted in the past seven days, with the chance for everyone to see the submissions so far.
So, we look forward to seeing the great art produced, and hope you have fun with the brief.
