I run the Realm-of-Fantasy Group here on deviantART.
We have a project at the moment, and we would like your help.
We are looking to redesign the look of our group as well as our format.
We would like for our group design to represent the Fantasy genre and be presented in a unique professional manor.
We are looking to develop a specific brand logo and icon.
One that defines the groups and is instantly recognizable.
Our requirements include:
Professional looking Logo and icon development, banner, custom social media icons, gallery backgrounds and possibly more.
We are looking for artists and designers.
You do not have to be proficient in coding (html, CSS etc).
We are willing and able to pay you for your services, preferably via paypal.

REAL CREATIVISM LOGA lot of people ask me what do i think when im drawing, whats your creative process, and what are the magical fairies you are thinking while you draw, about life, beauty and wisdom of the world. You will be surprised how thats not what i think while i draw and how this process repeats all the time while i draw.REAL CREATIVISM LOG3 years ago in Personal More Like This
The purpose of this journal its to let people know how we are all filled with doubts agony and stupid funny things while we draw. So you wont feel you are doing something wrong.
Will be cool if this became a spam, and people started to share in their journals the same way i did while you are at work.
Okay, lets star, first the setting, if you had seen the tv show 24, picture that way while im drawing, with several cameras on my sides, this will make the reading more funny, if you havent seen the show picture this sound each time you read time passes, while im drawing.
Okay lets start.

Why people think art should be cheapI mean some people even think that digital art should be cheaper than traditional, because there is no original. Why people think art should be cheap3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Its funny when people ask tons of things in a drawing, like 30 characters fighting a 12 dragons, and they think they can get it cheaper than a pencil drawing, because in the computer there must be a secret brush that makes all of this in 2 hours.
Sadly, painted style in digital takes more time than traditional. Artists says its easier, because you have more control. But sadly textures are cooler in traditional, and easier.
I remember 4 or 5 years ago when started thinking bout digital, i said damn if i learn digital, i will skip drawings and paint directly, this will make my life easier, it will take me less time to finish a product, like i can even finish 3 drawings in just a day, yeahhh i should try that.
5 years later, i was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo wroonnngggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg.
So i used to think the same about speed, but not about price.
AquaTalk: ChencoIlufiHello watercolorists! It's time for another installment of AquaTalk! As you know, each month, we will choose a member of #watercolorists to interview. You will gain insight to their general artistic goals, their watercolor technique, and little of their personality as well.AquaTalk: ChencoIlufi4 years ago in Personal More Like This
This month we interviewed ChencoIlufi. What I really like about his work is that he doesn't take the easy way out, his backgrounds are very elaborate and he often chooses the most complicated perspective! We could all learn from his bravery. I had a blast selecting his artwork for this feature, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
First of all, please tell us a bit about yourself.
Myself.. I've grown looking fighting series and videogames, time ago those were the things inspired my art, until I left the last school year.
Now my art have very different feelings, damn tv... and damn school too D:
I started from 0 again building myself and my art with all I consider G

Sometimes an artist’s works affect you on such a visceral level,
bypassing the analytical function of your brain so utterly as the images
plunge deep into some basic, primal place in your subconscious, into
your ever-lurking id, into your dream-being, that it’s hard to put
in words why the artist’s works are just so good, so much a cut above
others in the genre. This is my problem in trying to express my enthusiasm
for the works of shichigoro756 – works such as “usagi-kikai”, “kami-kaze-3”, “usagi’s
day” and “hug”. Perhaps it’s best to start by citing some obvious influences
I guess its timeI owe everyone an explanation...for those who follows me and wondered about the few years I've disappeared, some even thought I had died.I guess its time2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I was at a job that felt like a death sentence.
I graduated and was hired into as a full time artist for package design company, all is good.
I got ambitious and greedy, I saw how much money insurance agents bring in, I was not happy with $35K or even $100K income (where a career in art usually caps out). Insurance agents were raking in $150K - $500K on average, the only catch is to work to death in the first 5 years to build your book of business and it's smooth sailing until retirement.
So I had to give up drawing full time for a few years, shouldn't be too difficult, I'm not afraid of hard work
But the owner of the insurance office I was training under had a Jekyll and Hyde complex. I was paid less than $25k start (in Toronto you make more working at McDonald). A full time multi-language insurance agent pays $30K - $40K st

New Years Basket ~ $1 Commission! ENDED!Traditionally, I would have a custom art bundle to auction during the holidays, but the past few months I've received so many notes/e-mails requesting commissions--particularly for free work, due to a (very understandable) lack of finances these days. I am in the same boat, however--artwork is my sole means of income and I also have bills to pay every month--so I have to turn down these requests. It makes me feel bad, especially as some of the notes have been very touching, apologizing for a lack of funds but saying how very much artwork would be loved and appreciated, and I know the feeling because there are artists I greatly admire and would love to commission myself, but do not have the means. ^__^;New Years Basket ~ $1 Commission! In light of that, I've decided to offer something that would be fair to everyone, and still give anyone interested a chance at a free commission from me. I have a basket here, which I shall dub the "New Years Basket." For every $1 do

this pic was drawn for a friend for his birthday. I personally never played Zeno saga, i think this was drawn in 2001 or so.
I remember that this pic was not done at home, but during lunch hour at my old work.
I was not particularly a fan of KOSMOS but the friend was. I drew this with reference from the art book of zeno saga that another friend
gave me. so all the elements are correct to reference except the scythe.
it would be obvious that I was into art-neavou back then, with the apparent evidence in the hair.
this pic was done in photoshop, with all the smooth blending. I might have started the file in open canvas, which was the case for most of the art

I am not here on deviantART for anyone, I do not draw to please anyone, nor am I here to be used as a feature machine
This rant obviously does not include trades, gifts or commissions xD
The biggest thing that irks me is that people think, just because a lot of people have decided to follow me, I somehow have a obligation to use that to "help" other artists with amazing art get recognized. This is bullshit. Its not my or anyone elses responsibility to make anyone get attention.
IF someone really wants attention, I think its fair that they work for it instead of sitting on their l azy ass waiting for others to do it for them. Remembering back to my own first months here on dA it took me atleast 4 years of being very active. I MEAN uploading stuff almost everyday/commenting back to people, drawing trades and gifts. It doesn't really exactly feel like that long ago when I first started visiting dA and now it's already been a decade.
So kinda for myself (and also anyone possibly interested) here's a journal post recapping my last 10 years~ (Also sort of my journal in photography too, I guess.)

I signed up on dA when someone in the drawing group I hung out with told me to check out his works here. I was only 14 then. I didn't use dA a lot at the time because it looked like this: http://web.archive.org/web/20030426063919/http://www.deviantart.com/
I was on a 15" 1024x768 display and the ad banner + dA header took up half my screen on every page load. Did not like. >_>
I dropped by dA every now and then, in Sept I suddenly found it a lot more user-friendly, the new version: http://web.archive.org/web/20030922013355/http://www.deviantart.com/
I added dA to my daily visit and I started mak

Ok we're back, sorta. School is a terrible environment for art. And I have a lot of people who can vouch for that XD Anyway, the point is, I won't be working on it at 10 a day. Not for now, anyway. What is going to happen instead, is, I'll be drawing the remaining Pokemon first, then :IconAldenlite: will vector them. After that I'll color them all at one go, and you guys will see the complete collection. About time, I know. It's coming to the end of a school term, after which I have a week to rush up my homework, and of course, the project. Hopefully I can get it up by then.
Anyway due to the new sequence of actions, we'll actually need 3 progress bars to handle this.
Sketched: 644/725 (Reuniclus)
Vectored: 600/725 (Seismitoad)

Common Misconceptions About FreelancingAs a freelancer, we've all probably heard the kind of things people tell us about our chosen career path, be it positive or negative. For those who respond negatively, usually the first thing I'd ask these people are, "Well, have you tried freelancing yourself?". Up to this day, I've yet to meet anyone who responds with a "yes" answer. Most of the time, I can tell by the looks on their faces when they hear the question, and in order to avoid saying a flat "no", they'll say something like, "I haven't tried it myself but I have friend who bla bla bla", then I'll proceed to ask, "Yeah! But that's your friend! I don't give a pickle about your friend. I'm asking about YOU!". And usually this is the part where they crack. As my favorite quote from the Fallout 3 game says, "People have opinions on things they know nothing about. And the more ignorant they are, the more opinions they have".Common Misconceptions About Freelancing1 year ago in Personal More Like This

Should You Become a Professional Artist?Community WeekShould You Become a Professional Artist?5 months ago in Art Features More Like This
Do you enjoy art passionately and are considering doing it as your job, but have some worries such as;
Will I enjoy it as much as a job?
Will it be hard getting a job?
Will I become a starving artist?
If you're like me, you're asking yourself those questions and are letting them give you a hard time deciding whether or not to pursue art professionally. My health teacher told me, as we digressed from our topic of smoking, that to know whether or not you want to do a job, you have to hear what it's like from someone who's already doing it. That's why I decided to do an interview with professional artists on dA to give me, and hopefully many others, answers to these burning questions and an idea of what it's like to be a professional artist.
Okay, well let's get to it then
This is quite long so if you'd like to jump to a section, here are the questions I aske

I made a text based pony generator! Here it is!I made a text based pony generator!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
It`s meant to be more of a guideline for ideas rather than a full blown generator. With that being said, it won`t always provide a specific colour for an accessory or other things.
I purposely left out a lot of colours that wouldn`t go together (there aren`t a lot of bright neon colours).
I`ll probably be working on it periodically because it was quite fun to put together! Let me know if you use it to any extent or if any of the English is jumbled, or if there`s been any errors

A being drifting through the abyss as her light twinkles from the tapestry of stars. I gaze in awe and wonder at the swirling nebulae and exploding nova's that are her thoughts, dreams, and emotions, completely unaware of how tiny and insignificant I really am, so enraptured by her am I.
