I was inspired to draw Denzel Washington by his recent movie "FLIGHT" but he's been one of my ALL TIME favorite actors for many years!
I've wanted to draw him for a long time, but I could not find the "right photo".

I'm mailing this to Max, who will get me a photo of him holding it soon. Just like the other Breaking Bad mug shots, his was also too small. I had to use a music promo photo he gave me and basically create a hair style closer to his character Krazy 8, although he was a lot dirtier after Walt and Jesse got him down in the basement, so this is an original drawing

I finished the drawing (left) today (2-23-2013) and the other (right) on (1-31-2009) so this is about 4 years of practice apart. The OLD one I did just 4 MONTHS after returning from a 30 YEAR break. I wanted to show everyone that, although we may be born with natural God given talents, gifts and abilities, it remains up to US to practice "Practice does NOT make us perfect, but it DOES make us better"

Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut on AMC's Original TV series "Breaking Bad"

My contact at the AMC Breaking Bad office, who is a PA Script coordinator & writer, tells me that Jonathan both saw and wants the drawing. I sent it to them 8/1/12 and they will have it framed and give it to him. I'm hoping they can get a photo of him with the drawing as well. All I asked in return is for them to send me some of the blue rock candy (cotton candy flavored) they use on the show to resemble the "product".

Synopsis: Breaking Bad is an American television drama series created and produced by Vince Gilligan. Set and produced in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Breaking Bad is the story of Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a struggling high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with advanced lung cancer at the beginning of the series. He turns to a life of crime, producing and selling methamphetamine with a former student, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), with the aim of securing his family's financial future before he dies.
