I originally posted this on my Tumblr blog [link] and thought it about time I added it to the collection of sketches I have here.

The original accompanying text was as follows:

'I guess I should really mention what inspired me to draw this, in case I’m considered morbid or something similar… the idea behind it is actually rather charming.

Back in the spring of this year, I paid a visit to the beautiful (and not so little) Highgate Cemetery (in London); rambling, ivy engulfed and historical burial grounds with a breathtaking display of Victorian monuments, now completely at one with nature. One of the main sights of the old West side is the Circle of Lebanon, a circle within a circle of family vaults, each with a little sealed door at the front with an inscription either on it or above it. At the time of viewing these, a thought passed through my mind and I turned to my travel companion (~Lupinator) and said ‘you know, this is so sad. They’re like little houses. It’s almost as if you could reach out and knock on one of the doors to see who is in and wake them from their sleep’.

Hence the ‘cold caller’ makes his solemn walk around the cemetery and with his little lamp to guide him, knocks on all the doors to let the dead know that they’re late in joining the night’s festivities…'

The last poll was close but definite. Jessica Alba made the race and here is a little preview of her. I never drew her before so I am alittle bit excited about this piece. I have a very good feeling with this drawing and I think it could be one of my best. I have to admit since I bought my new drawing table I am able to make better drawings. More precise sketches and shadings are the result.

And to all who voted vor Angelina, don´t worry she´ll be the next ;).

All entirely done with regular and mechanical graphite pencils on A3 Hahnemühle sketchpaper with 190 gsm.

As always thanks for looking.

"I'm stuck in this dream it's changing me, i am becoming."

Natalie Portman (as Nina Sayers) was so cool in the Black Swan movie.

"Őrült álmom volt. Egy lányról szólt, aki hattyúvá változott. De a gonosz ikernővér elcsábítja a hercegét. És megöli magát. "

Na igen... a film elég vegyes érzelmeket adott. Vagy imádni, vagy utálni lehet... én fantasztikusnak találtam.

Legyetek jók, vigyázzatok magatokra! Remélem hamarosan frissíthetek a kész rajzzal!

Theres no doubt about it, whether you love him or not, there is no voice to compare, or match his flamboyant style.

I'm a big fan of the music of Jamiroquai, and I think that Jay Kay is a great artist, he designed his logo, and I think is really cool ^^

My entry for :iconegil21:s contest. [link]

The line over one of the shoes is from putting the two parts together since I had to scan it in two parts.
I think I will go over some things again but at the moment I am just happy that it is finished, my first DinA3 drawing in a long time! Also my scanner has a problem with picking up light shades (that's why I usually draw with a lot of contrast and barely light grey ;P) so I have to try to make it look better later.

Size: 30x40 cm
