Eternal Life [Remix]Eternal Life [Remix]:Eternal Life [Remix]2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
We are creatures of mortality
Born to live and die.
Yet there are those amongst us
Who resent the last goodbye.
They see it as an end to things;
The call of colder waves.
They have a fear of being trapped;
Locked away in graves.
But deep beneath the buried earth
No one hears you scream.
Pound and smash against the coffin;
End this horrid dream!
Kiss the flower of the reaper
Bear his blissful touch...
Soon you will be wisked away
Warm within his clutch!
But now you know the dreaded fear
Of why we cannot die.
We hear the reaper calling us
That we cannot lie.
In both our dreams and waking nights;
We see the blackest fate.
His cackles fill our bitter days
And they will not abate.
That is why we drink this now
Poison good or ill.
Either we will live forever
Or die against his will.
"I will not be death's puppet..."

Just as there are four elements
Existing in harmony with one another
So too are there four states of poetry:
Air is the element of freedom
Exemplified by the use of free verse
It has no structure and no true shape
But allows us creative control
Through the use of air as a poetic medium
We allow our emotions a freedom to be
We allow them to soar upon worded wings
Gliding freely through the skies of literature
Water is the element of the changing flow
It can be hard as ice or as soft as snow.
Its nature resembles the power of rhyme
Which grants us order and a structured mind
By pushing and pulling the words we may-
create a picture of what we wish to say
Painted upon a canvas of emotional lines
We create a sculpture of structured rhymes
Earth is uncomprising
Craggy on the whole, it resembles the concrete
Like the craggy mountains with peaks and valleys
It can take us down
A creative alley. For rock resembl
LadiesLadies2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Ladies are suppose to dress
In flattering skirts
And non-revealing shirts.
Wear their makeup so neat,
A ring on their hand,
And heels on their feet.
To have good manners,
And to be polite,
But also to show great might.
Ladies are suppose to think before they speak;
Selecting only the best of words,
So a waste will not leak.
As should they have great wisdom,
And be caring and unique.
Beautiful as a crystal or as an exquisite antique.
Ladies deserve a gentleman,
As opposites do not attract.
One that completes her,
And takes her on the right track.
All women are suppose to be ladies;
To cherish life as they please,
But the select few is decreasing,
And the women who are ladies are soon none to be.
Romano x Reader - Let's Kill Tonight 3You really weren't sure what to do do you just continue, like it was all planned, or were you supposed to actually react to this? Part of your mind told you to push Lovino away - what the heck? It's not like the whole school's looking, or anything, right?, but...it just didn't feel right to do that to push him away.Romano x Reader - Let's Kill Tonight 33 years ago in Romance More Like This
Lovino drew back, and nodding towards the stage, led the bow, which you immediately followed with your curtsy. You could hear the crowd going positively wild, with whistles and cat calls. Plastering a smile on your rapidly reddening face, you made your way to the exit off the stage.
"What the hell was that about?" you found yourself exclaiming, as soon as the both of you were out of earshot of others. Lovino just turned towards you, with a blank expression on his face.
"What are you talking about, [Name]?"
"That kiss, of course!"
"Yes, THAT!" your anger was rising by the second. We didn't even rehearse that, or anythi

His gaze seemed to be focused over your shoulder, and he looked...uncomfortable, to say the least.
"Y-Yeah...damn him!" he offered, as some sort of explanation. You couldn't help but giggle.
"It's not funny." He retorted.
"All right...all right." You decided that peace was the best way.
"You're just saying that to make me quiet, aren't you?" He asked, after a pause.
"Pretty much." You laughed. He looked at you, curiously for a moment, and a shy grin spread across his face.
And you felt your heart unrequitedly skip a beat.
"I-I...I don't think I'm ready, Lovi." you whispered to him, backstage, as you were getting ready for your performance in the talent show.
Lovino turned towards you, his expression serious as usual, but the condescending look was gone.
"Look, [Name]...we've been rehearsing for the past month. I know I'm not the best, a
Hardwork v.s. TalentHardwork v.s. Talent:Hardwork v.s. Talent2 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
In this world, hard work is everything. As ridiculous as it may sound, it is indeed a fact that cannot be ignored. Whilst the existence of geniuses or natural prodigies cannot be discounted as a mere anomaly of fate, it is also incorrect for us to believe that we cannot surpass them in our own way. The fact that some people appear to be more skilled at a particular task is simply the illusion of 'best fit'.
If a hundred people were asked to write poetry, some would be good and some would be bad. If the same hundred were asked to play sports, some would be good and some would be bad. Even if we take into account the fact that some individuals are 'well-rounded', even they will have an eventual weakness.
The problem then stems from one's ability to convert talent into something marketable as a job. For example, a talent in riding a unicycle can allow one to be an entertainer, but a talent in being able to find the best way to grope a person, is likely to get

And the one thats feeling old

And the one that's always tamed
I'm used, abused, neglected
And sorrowful at best
But when it comes to loyalty
I'll always pass the test
Dear friend you have forgotten me
Cast away like stone
But in your pain and suffering
You'll never be alone
I won't remember the fights and more
For to me you'll be my friend
