Everypony was so awesome! We had a very large group. Hopefuly the group picture will be put up sometime. Anyways it was a really long photoshoot and the three of us were lucky to snag some really good wondering photographers, so I'd like to thank them both for the extra shoot.
Not sure when I'll be getting my individual photos since LJinto is really back logged. You can enjoy this picture for now as a little bit of a teaser I suppose.
Lol so I decided to make that purse the night before the convention because it occurred to me... I had no pockets in this outfit XD! Remember everyone: If your character has no pockets, always design a substitute accessory lol.
We all woke up at 7am to START make up and costumes and didn't finish until 1:50 pm, which was good cause our shoot was 2pm.
So after extensive bodypainting with the airbrushes and all the extras of eyelashes and absurd nails before costume, the group spends something like four hours in the shoot with two different photographers. There was a lot of us lol.
We ended up with a little less than an hour to get to the artist alley and dealers hall before it closed. making us book it everywhere we went. Of course, on the way down from getting my money and such out of the hotel room is when I got stuck in an elevator for an hour and completely missed the rest of the con.
My Little Pony was, by far, one of the most challenging days to be had at the convention. I enjoyed the way it looked and how everything turned out but I don't think any of us will be doing the full body paint again any time soon. lol
I had a lot of help with this :3! ~KopiNinja did my initial airbrushing and I did the touch ups before she applied those eyelashes. THOSE eyelashes. They were like their own creature lol.
Anyway, after all that was on, *alcblueyes applied the purple eyeshadow and I added the blue and with our powers combined.... beautiful!!! lol Tema also helped me put on my nails which were a lot like the eyelashes in level of difficulty D: lol
And that was about that! Thank you to everyone who helped, you were all life savors and wonderful.
Updated, larger quality photo, yay! Individual photos/collages coming very soon.
Ohgoddd where do I even begin to talk about these dresses.
I designed, patterned, shopped fabric for, and built all these dresses, including some of the undergarments such as petticoats, a hoopskirt, and a bustle cage. It was 10 solid months of work, and I loved the whole process and am so proud of these gowns, but mostly I am so happy to have been able to do this group at all. These girls are so wonderful, every single one of them <3
We wore these gowns at Dragoncon 2012, on Friday evening, and on Sunday for the masquerade, where we won Best in Show - Master's Division.
I will eventually post individual collages of the dresses that include the original concept straight from the show, my design/interpretation of the dress, a photo of the actual dress, and my thoughts about its conception and production, but for now, please enjoy this group photo, courtesy of Eurobeat Kasumi. I hope everyone enjoys these as much as I enjoyed working on them!
Omg you guys.... I designed all of these dresses. I'm excited for you to see a closer detail on all of them but for now I thought I'd throw up the group shot to let you see them on a whole. Admittedly the contrast is a bit high on this one (the photographer was just making us all so lovely XD) but wow do the colors ever pop lol.
So anyway. I designed these dresses a while back and everyone agreed to make them. Each pony is in a different style of Lolita which fits their personalities. I had a lot of help from ~blackfruitbat in coming up with the different themes per pony. I ended up helping make Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie as well as made all of Rarity for myself. It was... an adventure XD!
