Set free some butterflies earlier...And they're in my YouTube. It was very fun to set them free. They're beautiful little delicate creatures... Sadly, one didn't survive, as it had been beaten by, I kid you not, the four surviving butterflies... I wish I had all five to set free, but... Yeah.Set free some butterflies earlier...5 months ago in Personal More Like This

Alright, I want to do a lil giving back after having so much support the past years I've been here, sooooooo...
I'm im offering free pony OC requests every week, starting next Friday! But there is a little catch. It's is not guaranteed that you will have your request done. See, it'll be random. You can send your OC to my email, along with your username so I could credit you as the OC's creator. It'll be a surprise thing. Maybe your pony could pop up from me. Who knows? But I think it'd be a fun thing to do.
So if you want to have the possibility of me drawing your OC, with having patience, then ema

I often wish I wasn't quite so proud of this piece, because, since the characters are original, I'm hesitant to share their story with the internet, for fear of having it stolen. I am proud of it, though; the piece is actually a wallpaper I made out of a character sheet. I ended up really loving the faces, more than anything, probably because it took me so long

And how people took their time to write loonnnggg comments about how this and that is unfair and blah blah.
Maybe i wrote it wrong in the description, i don't know any more~
Fandoms ARE a good thing in their core, a place where you find people with the same interests as you, art you like and justa place where you feel belong~
But you also have to deal with it. With the good comes the bad . You can ignore the crap, sure, but in the end it is the people from the outside mostly who don't know/like that show and expose the crap materials.
Just as i wrote:
" All fandoms have the good and the bad! The bad just shine in its ugliness better. "
I picked up MLP because... i... felt like it?
Because it is super popular and relevant at the moment?
I could easly just pick up Home Stuck or to put in Doctor

Live the dream, don't talk about it!Doug TenNapel, independent comics creator, is an inspiration to me in many ways. He has a fun, accessible art style that is dramatic and fresh. His story telling is always askew in the best of ways. I don't think I've read one of his graphic novels without having some smiles and a surprise or two along the way. On top of that, he is outspoken about almost everything in his life. (I think of him as the Rush Limbaugh of comics- oh man, that sounds really bad, but early Rush, not present day Rush, if that helps.) I agree with most things he states on Facebook. BUT- the thing I am most inspired about him is his drive (in the old days we would call that "work ethic"). The guy does NOT give up. Because of that, he single-handedly will put out a new graphic novel a year. While creating a webcomic. While pitching new TV show development ideas in Hollywood. While running a half marathon. While working freelance jobs.Live the dream, don't talk about it!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
You are a bad personMaking mistakes or bad decisions does not make you a bad person. A bad person is someone who do them but never owns up to them. You are a bad person8 months ago in Personal More Like This
We all make mistakes, we all make bad decisions, whether because of our emotions or our situations. Everyone has problems, and nobody's perfect. We all got things to learn and we learn them all differently.
But you never owned up to what you did. You never gave your due apologies.
You keep giving excuses like "I didn't know better", "I wasn't feeling well" or even "it wasn't that bad".
You keep turning the tables by justifying your deed as a form of "punishment", a "lesson", a "necessity" or because you "had no choice".
You only pity yourself by expressing self loathe and self regret. You speak so greatly about the pain and disappointment you feel, yet you fail to share that felt by the others because of your deed.
You half-ass your responsibility to redeem yourself from this by doing unrelated good deeds and sending materialisti
How can a cartoonist keep motivated and inspired?A friend asked me: “How do you motivate yourself to keep drawing? Lately I have been lacking that. One of the reasons is that I feel afraid of making mistakes in my drawings not to mention that I sometimes feel inferior when I compare my drawings to other artists (particularly those who make illustrations and cartoons)”How can a cartoonist keep motivated and inspired?9 months ago in Personal More Like This
One thing that keeps me drawing is having to. If I don’t have an FRS done every week, the readers get ornery, and so I have something I need to get done every week, whether I like what I’ve made or not.
But sometimes I feel uninspired or just plain don’t like what I’m turning out. This happened just a week ago. There’s a few things I like to do in this instance.
-Sometimes I just find some drawings I really like and try to quickly draw their construction. No details, just the construction. This is an especially good technique if there are particular artists you want more influence from:

- Cartoonist Charles Brubaker has been developing a comic called Koko The Blue, about a child sorceress who tries so desperately hard to get her spells right. It's drawn in a simplistic style reminiscent of the newspaper strips, specifically Peanuts and 1950's Japanese comics. He's running an indiegogo campaign to fund the first Koko The Blue animated short, and really needs a boost of exposure if he wants to reach the goal! http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/koko-the-blue-animated-short-film/ I see Charles on Facebook all the time, and am excited for what it can
My thoughts on Adventures of Sonic the HedgehogThis may seem a little early but I already know what I'm going to say about this show. I've said several times that AOSTH is my favorite Sonic cartoon, while others worship SatAM. It's time I explain why I enjoy this show. Well, here it is.My thoughts on Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog was the first Sonic cartoon and one of the best. The plot of the whole show is simple. Robotnik is trying to take over Mobius and Sonic has to stop him. I know the later shows had more melodramatic storylines but sometimes a simple storyline works better. Sonic is voiced by Jaleel White who will provide his voice in the later DiC shows. The cartoon also introduces Sonic's favorite food, chili dogs. Tails is in this show too. Unlike SatAM I find his brotherly relationship with Sonic believable. Sally does appear in the Christmas special though but I'll get to that another time, probably around Christmas. Robotnik is voiced by Long John Baldry and he is great. He may be a clown in this show but at least he wasn't a Doc
Mature themes in American AnimationWhen I first discovered Anime, my mind was blown. Here were Japanese animations being made which told adult stories with sex, violence, and all sorts of things I'd never seen before done in American films. As a teenager the constant pandering to children and the reluctance to accept more mature themes and ideas in American animated films pissed me off. Why can't american cartoons be taken more seriously and have stuff for adults too outside of South Park and The Simpsons?Mature themes in American Animation2 years ago in Personal More Like This
In 1998 Stephen Spielberg tried to change that. After having a successful run of kids cartoons (Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Pink and the Brain, etc), he took it a step further by giving us a PRIME TIME cartoon series aimed at adults. It was called "Invasion America." It was a sci-fi epic, featured a slew of big name actors including Leonard Nimoy, and featured more adult oriented themes such as sex, violence, and swearing!
It sucked and was a resounding failure.
The epic plot they were trying to weave would never be compl
Wii U Launch TitlesRemember when the Wii launched in 2006 with just a gamecube port of Zelda, a horribly broken Red Steel, and a handful of party games? That's not gonna happen with the Wii U. Along with the recent announcement of Bayonetta 2 being a Wii U exclusive title, Nintendo has just announced that there will be a staggering 23 games available on launch day. While many of the titles are ports of other games, there are still a huge selection of titles that I, a gamer who doesn't have access to a Ps3 or 360, would really enjoy being able to play finally.Wii U Launch Titles2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Below is the current list of 23 titles, with the promise of 9 more games being released before December, and 20 more between December and April 2013.
Call of Duty®: Black Ops II
Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two
EA SPORTS FIFA Soccer 13
TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2 Wii U Edition

5 Years of Random Doom2012 is my own 5 year anniversary here in deviantart which was awesome. Naturally, this also means my pokemon series, Random Doom, also turned 5 years old. Man, time sure flies. During these five years... Lots have happened and I suppose I'd love to say some things that have been in my mind a long time. So, I'll be rambling about RD, myself and other stuff related to it... I dunno how long.5 Years of Random Doom2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Like I mentioned in my 5 year anniversary picture... I never expected RD to get this popular. It truly started as a silly comic about pokemon I planned to train in my pearl game. I was so excited about diamond and pearl that I planned out my teams way before the games even came out. I loved drawing them and I started to develop them and give them personalities and names. I suppose I did this to make waiting easier. Hehe, it is quite funny that once I finally got the game, I didn't even use anyone from my RD cast until I beat the game and I was able to start proper EV training. Yep, that serious I wa
New exciting information!A recent update from Michael Dimartino Tumblr posting "More Korra excitment! Some more sneak peeks of book 2 characters. Desna, Eska, and Varrick."New exciting information!1 year ago in Personal More Like This
First up, Desna (left) and Eska (right) , Korra’s cousins:
DESNA (Waterbender), ESKA (Waterbender)
Korra’s cousins are sixteen year-old twins who have a strange connection and seem to communicate without saying a word. They’re both Waterbenders, and when they work together they can accomplish amazing feats, such as shooting entire icebergs at opponents. Korra has always found them incredibly annoying because they look down on her for being a rube from the South, even though she’s the Avatar.
Next up, shipping magnate and facial hair enthusiast Varrick, presumably not to be confused with the Dragon Age character of the same name:
Billionaire shipping magnate from the Southern Water Tribe. He’s a little eccentric, but very charismatic. He sp

my ONLY problem with it is that it doesnt have a good explanation as to why bruce can help him defeat a TERRORIST BOMBING THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. I can understand that Thor's in asgard and cap, hawkeye, and black widow are doing important shield stuff but bruce is really doing nothing??

The Three problems with how we learn art: pt.2 I've been thinking about how and why we learn to draw for a few years now. I started self-analazing my own drawing and character design thought process when I began writing my first art instruction book, "Creating Characters with Personality". It was harder than I thought to verbalize how I've learned and how I process drawing. This has led me to start looking back at my artistic life and how I learned art. What made me learn the most? What drove me to draw and stick with it? What led to others I knew as a child to stop drawing? I think I'm ready to present some of those thoughts here on DA and hear what you think. This is part 2 of three in a series. I'm not sure where this is leading, but step one is my establishing an online art instruction school called Taught ByA PRO (http://taughtbyapro.com) that will (in phase one) concentrate on drawing instruction for all forms of media. Here we go:The Three problems with how we learn art: pt.28 months ago in Personal More Like This
