3of 5. I was commissioned to to a set of pieces with Marvel characters if they had been affected by various rings from DC's "Blackest Night." I decided to post each step of my process on each piece (pencils, inks and finally colors). This is the final, colored piece of Iron Man as part of the Sinestro Corps. You can check out the pencils here. [link] And you can see the inked version here. [link]
Colored with Prismacolor markers and Prang colored pencils on 11X17 Canson Comic Art Board. This one was the most difficult to draw, but is also probably my favorite of the set.
As always, comments and critiques are highly encouraged and greatly appreciated! Thanks for looking!!!
Iron Man character property of Marvel Comics. Sinestro Corps property of DC Comics.
Marvel Comics' Blink, A character that first appeared in the classic 90's storyline, Age of Apocalypse!
In the comics, she kinda has these "sewing needles" as weapons. I gave her more of a spike or a steak for weapons.

I inked and colored this poster for friend as a birthday gift. He's a Fantastic Four fan of epic proportions. The pencils were found on-line and sent to me, so I'm not sure who drew them. I inked this in illustrator, and colored it in photoshop. I couldn't resist making some changes here and there since this wasn't for an actual client - just a gift. This was a fun one to work on!
EDIT: I've been informed that DALE EAGLESHAM penciled this work of art - that's a lot of work, whew! Great job, Dale!
I thought this was an older piece when I first saw the pencils (that's why I thought it would be a cool birthday present for a fan four fan). I never looked it up before I inked and colored my version, and I was suprised to find out this was a 2010 piece. Again, nice job on the classic style, Mr. Eaglesham!
When I was much younger I wanted to be in the comics/graphic novel field. Most recently, in an endeavor to understand colors more I wanted to give a shot at being a comic colorist. Every once in a while I even attempt the feat.
Pecils by inks by flats by final colors by me The flats were found in the awesome group
Feel free to critique, some of the issues I know about (out of gamut) others I don't. But I hope you enjoy it .
