The sky began to dim as the fiery orb descended upon the horizon. Within moments, it was gone, and the land of Equestria was now deprived of it's light and warmth. There was a time when that would be the end of Celestia's daily duties, but these days, there was one final task she had to perform. Turning around, she now faced the east.
Closing her eyes once more, her horn began to glow again as she focused her power into moving yet another important part of the world. Slowly, the pale white orb rose above the eastern horizon until it hung gracefully in the night sky. What followed was a swarm of tiny dots of light which surrounded the orb and the blackn

My hoof rapped on the door of Ponyville Library. Today I had agreed with Twilight to meet up to share our date experiences…if that makes any sense. It’s hard to put in words for some reason. Too bad I didn’t have time to think, ‘cause I heard the door creak as Twilight opened the door beaming,
“Hey Rainbow Dash, come on in!” I grinned at how happy Twilight seemed.
“You’re in a good mood today Twilight. I’m guessing your date went well?” I asked casually as I made my way inside the Library, slumping myself onto the floor.
Twilight came in my direction and nodded, “Actually yes. It went better than I had expected and…you’ll never guess who it was Rainbow!”
I smirked, “No…who was it? You have got to tell me!”
“It, it was Cloud Kicker!” Twil
3 Days Regret - Part 8Nurse Redheart sat characteristically silent in the equally quiet reception of Ponyville's large, but mostly vacant hospital. The caring mare finished compiling the files of last weeks patients, once again filing the majority of the cases under mass paranoia, this time from the use of the word 'virus' in one of the Mayor's speeches. As the nurse closed the drawer she felt an all to familiar invasion nuzzling its way into her mane, breathing warm air across her pearly white coat. "Are you still on for Friday night?" The bold but comforting voice asked through the hairs.3 Days Regret - Part 82 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
"I don't remember hearing about another date." Redheart slowly turned her head to view the stallion smiling back at her. "Or accepting it for that matter."
Doctor Stable kept his gaze consistent, staring into the nurse's jewelled eyes. "I'll book us a table." The orange colt rose back to his hooves upon seeing his date blush before staring up at the clock, its barely audible ticking filling the silent room. "I take it th

CHAPTER 12: Field Day Fiasco (First draft. Final version in the works)
Bucky, Orion, and Peach Cobbler were in a situation now. Not only had they inadvertently sent themselves and possibly their friends and family back in time, but now they were on the brink of erasing their own existences. Not only had they already run into the original Cutie Mark Crusaders, but now they had been invited to join them in the annual Ponyville Field Day. Bucky especially felt the pressure of secrecy thanks to his relation to Apple Bloom. Alone for the moment as Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle left to train for the event, the new CMC began to discuss just how deep in trouble they were.
"Of all the ponies in all the world," Bucky muttered, "I walk into mah aunt."
"We've got to be more careful, guys!" Peach added. "If we run into our moms the same way as we did with these guys..."
"We can kiss our flanks goodbye." Orion said, finishing her thought.
The three were in agreement. They could

Ponyville was a bustling little town, filled with ponies from all walks of life. Earth Ponies, Unicorns and Pegasi all bought and sold various goods and services on the streets, and in stores throughout the downtown area. But typically, all this ended once the sun went down, and everypony settled in for a good night's sleep.
However Sugarcube Corner was not a store that settled down that easily.
The bakery was mostly quiet, as Apple Bloom swept the front of the store. She prided herself at being a diligent worker, and it was something that impressed both the store's owners, and her manager.
"Looking good, Apple Bloom," came a cheery voice from behind her.
"Thanks Pinkie," she replied, turning to face the back kitchen, and her boss. "Need any help back there?"
"Nope, everything's okie dokie in the stovie."
"Don't you mean 'oven'?"
"Yeah, but ovenie doesn't sound right."
Apple Bloom raised an eyebrow at the pink pony's proclamation.

The rising amber sun shined through the windows of the Ponyville Library, and in one little corner of the main sitting room, one little dragon was reading through the titles on a book cart, shuffling the tomes around in an effort to make his job just a little bit easier.
"Birds of Central Equestria," he said, reading the title on one of the covers. "Davenport checked that out a week ago. Advanced Orchard Designs, that was Applejack's weekend project."
As he shuffled through the trolley, it wasn't long before he landed on a title that was pink and hardbound. "Romance for Foals," he said. Placing a claw on his head, he tried to remember who last checked it out, but nothing came. It had been a while since he saw this title, but he could always remember who checked out what book in the library no matter how long ago it was. As he began scratching his head in thought, he didn't notice a young purple unicorn trot up behind him.

Dusk, had already awoken, but he refused to open his eyes, instead opting to enjoy this moment of comfort. He could lie in this bed all day if he had a choice, but the day itself seemed to have other plans. For not long after, a bird outside the window began to sing its morning song. Although somewhat irritated by this disturbance, Dusk nonetheless opened his eyes.
The sight which greeted his was a pleasant one. He had awoken in a magnificent bedroom, in a cottage way outside of the Ponyville area. The room was well furnished and the window opened to a spectacular view of the rising sun, whose light now filled the room with it's glow. He could not deny that this was quite a sight to wake to. He'd have to thank Celestia when he saw her next. Thank her for this wonderful honeymoon gift.
And speaking of which, that reminded him of another pleasant sight which greeted him as he tu

"You were right girls. Taking a day off to have some fun was really what I needed" said Twilight Sparkle while walking among the crowd that was attending the Annual Hoofington Carnival.
"Really, darling, you should leave that library more often. Sooner or later you're going to yourself into a book. It wouldn't surprise me with all the hours you spend with that muzzle of yours buried in those old dusty tomes" replied Rarity.
"Yeah, like being a bookworm wasn't enough already" added Rainbow Dash.
Twilight giggled in response "Maybe you're right. Hey, by the way, where are all the others?"

There wasn't much in common between the impoverished lower-class of planet Earth, and the crew of an Ancient starship on the other side of the universe. The only thing these two groups had was this: They both had no idea where their next meal would come from.
Tight rationing had already begun on the Destiny, which meant the crew was irritable and hungry, and it was times like these that the ship's military personnel kept busy.
Scott and Greer ran down the corridor, straight to the mess hall, where the sounds of yelling and clattering dishware originated.
They quickly tried to separate Morrison and Becker.
"HEY!" Scott yelled. He forced the two crew members apart, and just as Morrison was about to turn on the lieutenant, Greer reacted quickly, pulling out his service pistol, and aiming right at the doctor's head.
"Just try it," he said.
"Sergeant?" the lieutenant said.
Greer slowly lowered his gun.
Scott turned to Becker.

It was late in the morning as Paradox and Mercury crossed the fields of Sweet Apple Acres to meet up with their colleagues. Since it was the weekend, most of the town's citizens took the day off. But in their minds, there were some things more important than a holiday.
"I keep getting the feeling that this won't be an easy project," the stallion said to his best friend.
"Is anything ever easy?" she asked simply.
As the two doctors trotted through the orchard, they encountered a young yellow filly, staring blankly off into space.
"Apple Bloom?" Dee said, approaching the Crusader. "Are you alright?"
"Huh?" She asked, turning to face the pegasus. Her unusual eyes throwing the filly off for a second. "Oh, I was just watching some...thing..." She pointed to the branches of a tree that was sitting in front of her.
Sure enough, the two elder ponies saw, in the trees, two tiny birds, one yellow, one purple, standing together on a branch. T

Twilight bolted from the library, her horn pulling the door closed behind her.
As she ran straight toward Applejack's farm, her thoughts were racing. What went wrong? Was it another attack? A landslide? Did somepony die...again?
Spike was clinging to her neck for dear life, as worry overtook the young unicorn.
Eventually, the two arrived near Sweet Apple Acres, and Twilight slowed to a crawl.
On both sides of the path, where there were once dozens of Apple Trees, now stood nothing but tall black pillars.
The fence that once ran along either side of the long dirt road was now nowhere to be seen, and the ground was covered in ashes.
Twilight was speechless. There were no words to say. No words she could say. As far as she could see, there wasn't a single survivor, the entire orchard was incinerated. Her best friend's business and livelihood was destroyed, overnight.
Why was she here?

The Equestria Alicorns side of the bleachers erupted, almost knocking Twilight Sparkle over. She was in the bleachers, attending her first highschool football game. Spike was on the side, next to her, yelling and shouting about with all the frenzy. Twilight didn't understand why the crowd was going crazy, but evidently something good had happened. Maybe she should pitch in?
The green football field was littered with several players, Equestria's players in navy and gold, and the opposing team, the Manehatten Manticores wore crimson and bronze. Their mascot had been beaten to the floor by the school's mascot, Ali the Alicorn.
Twilight was dissapointed with the design of the costume. She'd seen many better costumes come out of elsewhere, all and around the internet. She was even a little repulsed by the Manticore mascot's costume. The manticore's nose was partially ripped, and the leather was supposed to be its wings hung like jackets on a coat hanger.

#88) I'm in love with Fluttershy. Kids at school have figured this out, and I can't hear the end of it... They do nothing but hate on me because I have sexual feelings for Fluttershy. Why are they doing this? Why can't they leave me alone? They even went so far as to follow me home and ah, watched me through my window having ah intercourse with a special Fluttershy plushie of mine... They went and told the whole school. I didn't even know they had followed me! After this, everything got worse.
I attempted (but luckily failed) suicide because of all these horrible things...
Answer: I'm not sure what sort of advice you're expecting here, so I guess I'll just have to throw a few responses at you from different angles and see what sticks. A part of me hopes - and knows - that this question is a joke, but an even larger part of me hopes that it isn't; it would be highly interesting and entertaining if you really did have these feelings for the character of Fl

#94) I went to a brony meet-up and I thought it was pretty good fun until we went to Toys R Us. I was sceptical about a bunch of guys (no girls went to the meet) going to the little girl's section of the shop so I kept my distance and I'm glad I did – everyone there except for me became really creepily obsessive about the toys and it was embarrassing to be seen with them in the shop. After we left (I didn't buy anything and the girl on the till seemed really freaked out by us) I kind of felt awkward being seen with them and when they sang a song from the show really loudly at Pizza Hut I wanted to go home fast. What do you make of this?
Answer: There is always the potential for this problem when meeting up with strangers based on a common interest: will you be as into it as they are? The issue becomes slightly more complex when the common interest is My Little Pony, because it's the sort of interest that a lot of people aren't comfortable discussing in great detail outsid

Chapter 1: “Exploration”
Long millennia ago was fought the War of the Witches
And of that time little is spoken
Few tales of those unhappy seasons remain
Yet some still survive
And even the princesses know
That there still dwell in the worldly sphere
Some who saw the wonders and horrors of those days
T’was during the second summer of that war
When the days seemed at their blackest
And Equestria seemed doomed to thralldom
Under Hydia and her daughters
That Celestia’s army marched to lift a siege
And Luna’s made a long retreat
And both the sisters were filled with doubt
For seven long and murderous days
Had the army of the Nightbringer
Fought the forces of the witch
And now her regiments
Thin, tired, and broken
Crossed the bridge across the River Running
And weariness sat behind their eyes
The Nightbringer seated herself
Upon the great stone at the foot of the bridge
She looked upon each reg

In the main kitchen of Sugarcube Corner, a young earth pony was carefully covering a cake with bright pink icing. After she smoothed out the top, she stepped back to look over her work, spatula still in mouth. Before her were three cakes, each a different colour. They would all ready for decorating once the icing was allowed to set for a few minutes. Pinkie Pie trotted over to the kitchen sink, dropped the spatula within, and quickly washed her hooves.
With time to kill, and left alone in charge of the shop, she didn't have much to do. There were no customers, as she could see once she walked to the front of the store, but there were two little foals who were sleeping upstairs. She trotted to the upper level to check on them, making sure they didn't get into any mischief.
Quietly proceeding down the hallway, she looked in their room to see their crib empty. This, however, did not worry her.

She would send her text messages in the day. and at night.
"Hey. hows your day going?"
"Thinking about you, lunch tasted weird today."
"You look pretty today."
"Wanna hang out?"
"Luna, it's 10pm. Everyone should be in bed!"
"...Wanna hang out? lol"
"Should i come over?"
"Oh my god lol. You really wanna hang out don't you?" Twilight smiled at her phone screen affectionately.
Applejack watched Twilight, amused. Ever since homecoming, the Magi had been acting very strangely. In a very good way, and Applejack would have to wait until Twilight felt she was ready to tell her about who it was she was smiling at. But she just couldn't help herself.
"By the way you're making goo goo eyes at that there phone screen, i'd believe you wanted to make love t' it."

In the royal day courtroom there stood many ponies of all shapes and sizes, ranging from bulky earth ponies to slight pegasi to frail Unicorns all the way to the giant mixture of the previous three races, an Alicorn. Celestia sat on top of a regal and rich purple pillow on the side of the court away from the large doors that gave entrance to it. Next to her stood the green coated day captain, his posture rigid and his face plastered with a seemingly permanent smirk. On the other side of Celestia was her technically former student Starswirl who now spent his days acting mainly as her adviser and her chief spell maker. The rest of the courtroom was filled with various ponies who stood in various positions, some off to the side to observe while others formed a long line that reached the back of the giant and o
Friendship is Magic: The Crystal Empire ReviewAs a season premiere, "The Crystal Empire" both solidifies the growing visual decadence of "Friendship is Magic" and suggests that there isn't always a need for a two-parter at the start of every season. The growing tradition of attempting to become increasingly more 'epic' with every new season has, for the first time, failed to capture what the writers were undoubtedly going for with these two episodes. Nonsensical and lacking a focused direction, the "The Crystal Empire" struggles to channel its lofty ambitions into episode format.Friendship is Magic: The Crystal Empire Review2 years ago in Articles & Interviews More Like This
While fans fell in love with Season 2's Discord, and an enormous PR campaign backed up the "Canterlot Wedding" episodes, those two-part episodes bookmarked the season quite nicely, offering up some interesting villains and stories that were a little over-ambitious but still reasonably well-paced, for the most part. With "The Crystal Empire" things have taken a turn for the narrative worst, sadly, and in part this is most likely because the episodes are sh

The shockwave rippled up her arm as her hoof collided with the cheek of a griffin guard. Twilight's mane and tale were ablaze with magical fire; mostly for show, it was just an illusion to make herself look more intimidating. Her entire body was covered in magical armour; plates of glowing magenta energy that defected nearly any blow. Around the knees of her hind legs and going all the way up her legs and spine was a complex mechanical system of Twilight's own design. It supported her knees and back so that she could stand upright, much like Pinkie Pie after her bout of brainwashing. It was both a huge strain on her body and her magic. The spell used up a surprising amount of energy and with Twilight already exhausted from her earlier fight, she was struggling to keep it stable.
'I'll give them some credit, these guys are pretty dedicated to their job,' she thought as she threw a knife into the chest of an advancing guard. The twenty that remained had done their job well, protecting co

Given her age, Celestia was well acquainted with the fact that life wasn't fair.
She also knew the price of immortality was that this unfairness just so happened to last a little while longer than everyone else's. The path she preferred may not be the right one for another and this was perfectly okay. Existence was a subjective experience, each pair of eyes able to behold a different sight despite gazing at the same work of art, and she had sat through enough rants and expressions to know that her citizen's needs were severe in their distinctions and variations.
What is a miracle to one may be a curse to another. The princess was no exception to the rule.
It was also a matter of selflessness, Celestia's own double-ended blade. Her unabashed, raw willingness to give just for the sake of giving was both what she stood tall for and what brought her down to her knees. Sacrifice was what her universe w

Problem: Cadance is first seen as a young mare, and is growing through the series.
Problem: She is “The Crystal Princess” (whatever that means), and is known to ponies that have been sealed away beyond thought for millennia.
Problem: She’s married to an entirely mortal unicorn. Meaning she'll possibly outlive him by centuries.
