Think I used every Photoshop cheat there is for this one - filters, overlays, blurring, levels, you name it! But I feel justified in doing so because this one fought me every step of the way. There's still something about it I'm not certain of, but I guess Im as happy with it as I can be.
Bluestar! One of the only Warriors charcters to have some common sense
Done over an extended period of time because my life is manic at the moment >.<
Commission for the epic Folix (FA) who was kind enough to commission me for one of the most enjoyable paintings I've done thus far. Also a big thanks to those who commented on the speedpaint - your feedback helped me fix up a few of his anatomy errors.
A speedpaint of Neravairathethird (youtube)'s character, Onteel. I feel in love with his character design, but despite that, this didnt turn out quite as well as I had hoped. I might consider doing it over when I have more time.
Shalkats originally evolved as ambush predators, relying on their climbing abilities in dense forests and rocky mountains to jump down on prey from above. However the grassland-dwelling subspecies has no such environmental assistance, and has had to adapt to a different form of hunting. Like the African cats, grassland shalkats will pursue prey in sprinting bursts, their elongated bodies and long tails making them both agile and flexible.
I've had a few people asking for more shalkats, so here we are! I used no reference material at all for this one which is why he's crawling with anatomy errors. Do I care? Hell no!
I dont know what caused this, but it wasn't really there for any other reason than for me to get myself together artistically, since my drawing's been a bit all over the place recently. Hopefully I'll be a little more sane now
Felt like doing some old-school wildlife stuff. I guess this could be a kind of remake of an older "snarly leopard" thing I did ( [link] ), but there isn't much simmilarity between the two, so meh. Anywho, leopards are fun to paint but I HATE SPOTS!
