This is a big part that happens in the final draft of my story Decembersville, set between chapters 34 and 36 where Sophia's gang pays a visit to the home of Pendulum Tin's sister, Pendulum Ollie. If you don't know her, here ya go --> [link]
Anyways, this is how she's first introduced. Led by Darkchovi to reach Chiaroscuro Bayou, Sophia and her protectors (plus a majorly pissed off Campara) bring their piano vehicle around Ollie's workshop for some axle pieces and gears to fix up the vehicle. And once the door is opened, she assaults and threatens them all with a gun and screams at them to get off her property while her many little sisters hide inside the building The only one she doesn't scare is her older brother, who sighs and takes the threat like an everyday thing Everyone else is like "WHAT THE HELL!?"
Ollie is actually scared of company and she has trouble trusting others. She even treats her brother like a stranger and he is unwelcome around her place because she has lost faith in him. She loves him, but still.
Campara is lowering her disguising hood in wonder and Darkchovi instantly pulls it back over her head because, if the von Pyres ever cruised around there, there WILL be blood. Zero and Sophia are obviously terrified. Mellon immediately yanked out his switchblade in defense when she came out
Ollie: I told you never to show your face around here again. Now get lost OR I'LL BLAST YOU TO KINGDOM COME! Tin: *blocks gun with finger while sighing* Did we wake up on the wrong side of the gear this morning? Can you say "cranky"? I know you could. I weep for you. Ollie: I'M BEING SERIOUS! Tin: Mm-hmm. Ollie: *ready to shoot* I'll do it! I'm going to shoot you! Right now! Right here! Here I go! Tin: Okay. Ollie: ONE, TWO, THREE!! Tin: Kaboom?
I want to draw the final draft characters more. Expect more of them. They have been swimming through my mind for a while and I really love them too.
What the HELL is it with my love for dysfunctional siblings!? Tina and Jhakken, the von Pyre Bros., Sloan and Roger (though not TOO much considering they usually work together to kill my arse), and these two!? Oh well. At least his many little sisters adore him very much ^^ They miss him all the time
Just saying now: Ollie works for the renegades.
Dear ahead readers: Am I the only one that finds it funny for Darkchovi and Campara to be standing side-by-side like that even though he *insertchapter49*'s her?
And so, here is the reason why my self confidence regarding personal preference of likes and dislikes is so low you couldn't even get an atom between it and rock bottom.
Bullies didn't do this to me. My friends did.
It took me a long time to learn that it's ok if you like Popular things, as well as quirky online things. However online culture, and counterculture has a habit of being rude and nasty about the type of people who like popular things and it can leave you feeling a little upset inside because these people who you like and admire, be they friends or role models, are telling you that you're stupid, or dumb, or a moron, because you did the ultimate sin and liked something they find lower than dirt, and so you must be lower than dirt too? Right?
Yes Twilight as a technical novel, and perhaps even from some feminist perspectives is not a very good book. But that doesn't give you license to mock and put down people who like Twilight. Or the X Factor. Or some other popular thing you've decided you hate.
It's also ok for you to dislike it. I'm cool with that too.
Jokes with a light hearted twist are alright, I'm all for laughing at the world, but talking down to people for a entertainment preference that's not as high brow as your Pride and Prejudice or your Dracula is pretty unattractive.
We all do it, make comments about stuff we dislike and the people who like them, but perhaps as an online society, oft made up of people who have been bullied or feel ostracised from "normal" people, we're the ones who should be empathetic and open minded, not even nastier so people feel they have nowhere to turn.
I don't like Twilight. But if you like it then you're a wonderful human being, you go watch those films or read those novels and enjoy it.
Also pop music is catchy, even if it's auto-tuned and manufactured. I <3 it.
The last time I went to the mall, I saw something that inspired me. The Hermes display window had these hot air balloon models with a bunch of colorful scarves. The hot air balloons reminded me of those carnivals and amusement parks with the ferris wheels, etc. And of course, I always have Robin on my mind, so the hot air balloon will be in the shape of a lovely bunny
I wanted to use the same concept I used for this baby () only with another character of mine that grew up to be a wacko due to a childhood trauma. Specific, I know. Anyways, the cold-hearted Chimabell von Pyre came to mind and so here is this baby.
The hell with the term "overdone" because, in all honesty, growing up unloved is the worst thing for a child to go through. Chimabell, who before was a sad boy named Christopher, was ridiculed and abused due to his bell ears and dark powers; something that kept everyone an arm's distance away from him - the kids nicknamed him Crybaby Chima, even. His mother was no different and treated him plus his brother and sister like monsters, so as much as he wanted to fit in and live happily he was just unable to do so. He wanted love, not fear. He wanted kindness, not rage. And so, after being unable to save his mother, he figured that he was indeed the monster the world thought him to be and then he grew up in cruelty, turning him into something ugly and despicable with no compassion in his heart.
As far as the story goes, Chima is a coward. He can't stand up for himself and refused to forgive and forget. This dude is really spineless. I think he lacks hope in himself as well because there's no way in heck anyone would love a freak (according to him).
Though... not even I understand how he transitioned from a sad little freaked out kiddo to an awkward teen all the way to a... 33-year-old childish over-the-top weirdo. WITH THE POWER OF GREYSKULL!
Decided to take a break from doing Blackstripe Stuff, Just felt like sketching. Got a little carried away - but everything here was done in Manga Studio 5 - it has pretty wicked colouring capabilities. I really enjoy using it.
So I drew Lucifir from Bad Dudes Beware (which I will hopefully get working on soon guys!!) She’s pretty evil :V. All I knew with the colours is that I wanted to go sort of opposite of Su’s darker overall scheme. She has two of the same demon arms Su has, only one is on her tail.
