My first attempt at a face-up vs. my most current face-ups.
Looking at the photo from '08 is so damn funny to me...LOL. God. Not only could I not do a face-up, but apparently I couldn't style a wig either...or take a decent photo that wasn't completely awkward and blown out. -w-;
So you see, guys...We pretty much ALL start out this way. No matter how snooty and/or pretentious some of the people in this hobby get.
A lot of people send me messages asking about tips on doing face-ups, and the best tip I can give anyone who wants to do their own face-up is to PRACTICE as often as you can. We all basically suck in the beginning, but don't give up just because you can't get those lines right or you smudge something. Just wipe it and start over! I'm never 100% content with my own work, so even now my style is changing and improving. Thinking you're the very best just means you'll cease to ever get any better.
