Chapter 2: Secrets
Tron waited till Pixie had gone back into her home and the only sounds were that of the Sea before sitting up again. The effort cost him, and he bit back a flash of anger at his weakness. It seemed like he'd been weak for so long, not just since being dragged out of the Sea. The images of innocent programs dissolving before him, because of him, danced in his mind, and he shook his head in an effort to get rid of them. The memories only got worse. Even when he closed his eyes, he could see the faces, the terror and pleading in their eyes as they silently begged to be spared. Then his discs ran them through.
"Stop," he hissed to himself, his fists balling up. As if his memory codes finally started to listen to him, the pictures from the past disappeared. Tron was alone once again.
The Sea stretched before him, a quivering mass of raw, unbridled data.

"The sand feels AMAZING, Sam!" Quorra chuckled out as she ran her bare feet through the hot sands of the late night summer's beach. The water came ever so close to her pale pink toes before receding, but slowly it got closer and closer. She giggled when the water finally reached her feet. "These beaches are so much more beautiful than those on the Grid." She said softly, before sitting her small bottom onto the sandy earth.
"Mmmm-hmmm." Sam plopped down next to her, breathing in the salty air. The delicious, familiar, flavor of the salt reminded him of his father. It was the same beach the man had brought him to all those years ago. Salt was such a melancholy flavor to him now. He exhaled loudly.
"Sam...are you okay?" Quorra said in her concerned, yet curious tone.
"Yeah, Quorra, I'm fine." he uttered to her, lying. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder in a soft embrace.
She had only been i

Quorra's eyes were wide as she trailed through the mass Encom Tower Sam had told her of. It was even grander than she had imagined. She had no idea that the Users were capable of such wondrous things. Sure, there were massive buildings on the Grid, but this...this was something else. All of the towers and building were made from hard work and months...years of planning. Much different than the coding used to make building back on the Grid. She wondered if Sam was this fascinated with the building? She had to ask him once he got back from sorting things out with Alan...that man...something about him was familiar. Of course! The creator of Tron himself...wow.
The marble walls were cool on her snow white skin as she made her way deeper into the menacing tower. When she realized a few workers staring she pulled her hand away, realizing her fascination might be perceived as strange. Sam informed her it was in her best interest to 'lie low' and not draw attention to herself. Quorra quickly re

"What a sad story..." Quorra said, closing another massive book. She loved to read both fiction and nonfiction, but tragedies seemed to be her favorite. She was breezing through Shakespeare's classics as though they were children's picture books with titles like "Bink Says Boo." She sat at a large wooden table in the center of the library, flipping through yet another monster sized book. She began flipping through the pages effortlessly, processing the information at lightning speed.
Sam walked through the seemingly countless isles of bookshelves, his eyes scanning the binds as he slowly mouthed the titles of those that proved to be slightly intriguing. He always had a habit of mouthing whatever he read. He pulled out a book on world records, slightly interested, and walked back to the table that he and Quorra occupied.
"So...anything good?" Sam whispered to her quietly.
"OH IT WAS TERRIBLE! I couldn't BELIEVE THAT

Okay, so as you may know, the soundtrack for Tron Legacy is one of the most awesome movie soundtracks, period. Seriously, if you haven't listened to it you really ought to, it's quite good. But if you haven't listened to it that probably means you haven't seen the movie, which I could also rant and rave about, but I want to concentrate on the music for now. So yes, if you don't want spoilers or anything, I would reccomend going out and watching the movie before reading this note. Kthx
Ahem, to start off, some background info. The Tron Legacy soundtrack was composed by the duo Daft Punk, who are a popular electronic music group (a gross understatement). Now, officially, the records show that the Tron score was composed entirely by them, however, it is no secret that they took some inspiration from and perhaps had assistance from other composers, notably Hans Zimmer. It says this in the liner notes on the Tron album:

This is... Stupid. I don't even know why I'm bothering to write this. My school therapist said that it would be good for me to let my feelings out like this... To write in a journal. She said she didn't even have to read it if I didn't want her to. If that's the case, how does she even know that I wrote it? Here I am though, writing this stupid thing.
She told me that sometimes it helps when you make your journal like a friend. Give it a name or something. She even suggested acting like it was you or Mom. So, I chose you. I don't know why. It seemed like a good idea.
I guess you probably aren't too happy to hear I'm seeing a therapist. It's not my choice, though I should have known my last mishap would be the last straw. They were just waiting for me to do something a little worse, and I did. I don't see it as bad though. I was protecting a freshman. I think you would agree I didn't do anything wrong. That jerk deserved it.

Thousands of topaz are calling out loneliness once again...
Jet Bradley clutched his messenger bag tight to his chest. He was trying to leave again. Not for any sane, logical reason, just because he felt he had overstayed his welcome. Sam Flynn was the best thing to come into his life in a long time. The former playmate turned lover had given him a home, a life and a reason to get out of bed that wasn't work related. And now he was trying to run.
The bespectacled you man stared out to the sea, watching the setting sun turn the blue of the water into shades of gold and pink. Jet sat down on the soft grass and thought. When he had left Sam's garage house, he hadn't really been thinking. He just felt that it was time to go. But now he was beginning to reconsider. Sam was nothing like Ed Jr.. While Sam obviously had issues, he never took them out on another person. Besides juvenile pranks and the like.

Sam Flynn snuggled into the big arms that held him gently. Jet Bradley snored lightly as he slept, tuckered out from their love making only an hour prior. Sam's small, twin sized bed barely held the both of them, but neither man minded the tight cuddling the situation required.
Sam's blue eyes studied the handsome features of his lover. Jets face was chiseled, like his fathers. Shaggy brown hair accented the deep green eyes and made his smile all the brighter. The few times Jet did smile, that is.
The younger Flynn felt his heart ache a little. They were both off balanced people, but Jet was the worse of the pair. Sam didn't know just what it was, but Jet was so much more sensitive that he looked. Despite being taller than his 6'4 father and twice his bulk, Jet was really a vulnerable young man.
It brought out something protective in Sam. Something that made him willing to jump in front of a moving bus if it would help Jet at all. Well, Ed Dillinger Jr. was pretty close to a bus, if no

Prevent the gridbugs for growling with a digital panel,
Silence the desks and with muffled down
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
Let Lightjets circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He's Derezzed,
Put bright circuits round the pale necks of programs,
Let the traffic guards wear clear shoulder pads.

Pour away the sea of simulation and sweep up the Outlands;
The Grid is not wanted anymore, erase it.

Where....where did she die? Over there? On that swing? I see the ropes have snapped. How did she....oh. I can see that. The swing must have been set up too high. Someone could get seriously injured after getting a long tumble to the ground.
The wood must have also been eaten away, rotten by termites too over the years. And that fall at your mother's age too....but I don't think I heard any sirens or the tolling of church bells that day.
