A television left on in a small quiet community in the tiny town of Marin slowly hums.
"William Reiner, have you heard from Mr. Casil?"
"Do you think he may be dead in a gutter somewhere?"
"He was a fighter. I... know he's alive."
"Do you think he's got another book in him?"
"If he did I would be the first to know. I am his publisher."
"Marin police have noticed the rash of graffiti in the local south side. Walls were sprayed in red paint. But what got police involved were the words that dripped. Margaret is on location."
"This is Margaret Hinojosa reporting live in the local south side where vandals sprayed vicious words. As you can see here on the wall. The words "green" and "hunger" are written here under the old Greene Bridge. Many locals think Todd Casil himself wrote these words. The same Todd Casil that murdered women with green eyes over 20 years ago in The Town of Liberation, approximately forty miles from this location. Captain Jim Garcia had thi

I hate this war. But what should I do?
I'm not stupid. If I stop fighting back, they will make me pay back everything, what I did. They will kill me.
Actually I don't even know if I'll make it tonight, the next days...
Perhaps I'll die. I'm not a real country anymore.
He did say it by himself...
If Germany isn't able to win these battles, he is not the right German country. If this Germany is too weak, he doesn't derserve to live.
Actually it's not unusual...I was never really Germanic after all...I was allways a mud and there's nothing in the world that would be able to change that.
Perhaps there will a new Germany after me, it's not the first time that a nation dies in this area nor will I be the last one.
I'm so fucking scared.
I don't want to die.
Italy is crying while he's treating my wounds, Japan is fighting with America, I haven't seen him in months.
The big burning right above my left ear makes a dull pain pound in my head. I don't dare to look at my leg while Italy is wr
Mako and Bolin DrabbleMako and Bolin staggered into their apartment, sore and tired from the crazy events of the night; Bolin painfully plopped onto the couch. "Well, that was an uh an interesting night." Bolin said in jest as he rubbed his neck. There was a silence as Mako stared seriously at him; he knew that look and it was obvious just how angry he was, and he knew exactly what was coming.Mako and Bolin Drabble3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
"Um Mako, I-"
"I can't believe you put yourself in danger like that! Do you have any idea how worried I was?!"
"I...I know." Bolin said, shamefully looking at the ground.
He knew Mako meant well and he was only being his older brother, but he hated when Mako got like this. He rarely ever got to tell his side of the story and normally just had to sit there and listen to him lecture and rant at him for what could be hours at a time.

In the Eyes of a Pit BullI am telling you my story behind the bars of a jail. The evil stares I get for listening to my owner I thought cared about me. I ended up with only tragedy accumulating in my thoughts. I don't understand the human language, but one thing I do understand is my dog instincts. I remember I was put in the arena. It smelt of past bloody battles. I remember the brutal training my owner ceased upon me yet I do not understand nor like this gory sport. I had an opponent twice my size. The jaws of the beast before my eyes were enormous as they clamped down on my wrinkly skin. The pain was excruciating. It shot not only up my leg, but through my body. I let out a blood-curling cry. Not a cry of pain, but a cry for forgiveness for whatever I did to my owner to make him put me through this torture. Behind me I could hear the cheering, the shouting. I could hear my owner's distinct shouting behind me. A flood of memories drown me. I remembered that shouting of when I went through the horrific trainiIn the Eyes of a Pit Bull5 years ago in General Non-Fiction More Like This

Mako squinted as he was shoved into the room. I hate chi-blockers. The skin on his wrists was rubbed raw from the metal cuffs. They cut into him and blocked his bending. He didn't even want to know how they'd managed that.
"Well, I recognize you." The voice was low and smooth. Amon stood high on a platform with his arms over his chest. "You're a friend of that worthless Avatar's."
"Korra's not worthless," he raised an eyebrow and paced around on the floor. He wondered why the chi-blockers were leaving him alone. "She may be a hothead, but she's not worthless."
Amon shrugged. "Would you mind telling me where she might be?"
"How should I know?"
"Mako!" a voice shouted. He froze.
"Bolin?" he whispered. "Bo?"
"Mako, help me!" Bolin wailed. He was strapped against a wall behind Amon, hands next to his head. He struggled to free himself, but to no avail.
"I'm coming, Bolin!" Mako strained against his shackles and fell to his knees. "Just hang on!" He

I hear it roar.
I growl and grunt,
I pace the floor.
I want out.
I don't want to fight.
But fight I must,
If I lose I die.
When they let me out,
The game begins.
A deadly battle,
To see who wins.
I see my opponent.
No time to think twice.
We lunge at each other,
We play for our lives.
Then we stop.
We can't go on.
I lock eyes with him.
'I know this dog!'
A silent agreement.
It all ends now.
We tear at each other,
We fall to the ground.
Weak as I am,
I manage to cry.
A call to him
A final goodbye.
In my brother's blood,
I was released.
It's all over,
We rest in peace.

I also, more knowingly, have the potential to inflict wounds. But, with or without the potential, does it matter if it's not what I ever intended to do? Those like me sit in a cage. Why? I'm not sure exactly. Perhaps it was my strong pull on the leash, or maybe it was the fact that I squished the last human who owned me while I sat on her lap and nudged my head under her chin demanding some affection. Am I too demanding? Is that my problem? It takes a stranger to release us from this prison we've been sucked into. Latias RequestDamian sighed, and leant against a rock he could see jets of breath rushing out in front of his face it was getting dark now and he was still out in the open. He shivered then stood up and began to continue to trudge through the snow. The white blanketed earth was beginning to be quite deceptive and every step was a gamble, underneath it could be firm ground and or a fifty foot drop. The low temperature was beginning to seriously affect Damian's mental and physical wellbeing, he had to find shelter soon.Latias Request3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

Damian decided that because he was ignorant to how thick the ice was it would be pretty much suicidal to try and cross the ice the only alternative would be to crawl along the ridge along the side of the lake.

2.Although there are no accurate or even near accurate census records
for dogs in the U.S., in some populations pit bulls are estimated to
comprise some 30-40% of the dog population, making it a very popular
breed. Considering that there were an estimated 53,000,000 dogs in the
U.S., and assuming that pit bulls make up 10% of that population, there
would be approximately 5.3 million pit bulls in our society. In 2000, 13 pit

I frantically seize the blood stained knife,
As I wonder if this is the day I would end my life.
With trembling hands, I raise it up to my arm,
Telling myself to just stay calm..
I draw the blade across with speed,
Waiting for my skin to scar and bleed.
Dark crimson beads start to form in a row,
Then drip to the bathroom matt below.
After repeating that step over and over again,
I stop, cringing in agony and pain.
Blood oozes down my arm like a waterfall,

Warriors universe and sizeDear Erins,Warriors universe and size3 years ago in Academic Essays More Like This
what I would like to know, is the size conversion the Warriors universe uses.
The old (?) ThunderClan camp
You once wrote it had the size of 10 football fields. How can a camp that size be defended and surrounded by a cat-made barrier? How can cats spot each-other and take in all the dens at once, across such vast space? And how big does that make the territories themselves, when the cats can easily travel across several turfs in a day or less?
It's big enough for people to sail/surf on, and to provide for 4 clans each averaging 20 cats. Yet, in one book I read that a cat could spot another one from across the lake. If I remember it right, the weather wasn't in their favor, either.
I've just finished Outcast. How can Brambleclaw carry a cat more than 6 months (I suppose that's what moons mean, and not weeks) old, by the SCRUFF? I have a 9-week-old kitten sleeping on my lap as I write this, and he would be too big for most cats to carry

Unwillingly my face got hot with a rosy tinge. I turned my head away, hoping that he wouldn't noticed. Realizing my efforts were in vain as he laughed.

She then got out from bed and began to make her bed and such, as she was doing this though Ellothar had accidently slid off the side of the bed and had fallen onto the carpet floor.
