WHAT IS A STARSEED?
Star People or Starseed are alien souls incarnated in human bodies. Today there are millions here on Earth. About one in seventy people is one. All souls are the same, but they are all adapted to the life form they live as. When the soul moves on, it can then enter a new body, again becoming a new person. A Star Person soul doesn't move on before coming here, therefore still being the soul adapted to some alien being, still being the alien personality.
There are two ways for Star People to come here. One is to enter an already used human body with permission from the soul who by some reason no longer wants to have it. Such Star People are known as walk-ins. They can remember who they are, but can have some problems adapting to the human body. The other way is to enter the body of an unborn. These Star People are called birth-ins. They will, as all humans, forget about who they

I tricked tumblrHello everyone, I realize it's been ages since my last journal entry, so I just wanted to update so people know I'm still active.I tricked tumblr2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Maybe some of you saw this, but I made this fake imdb page for a Marauders BBC show and posted it on tumblr. It was just supposed to be a joke/fantasy, but apparently a lot of people bought it
(You'll notice there are lots of things that give it away, however)
But maybe one day, if we badger enough producers, it will be a reality
5 Year Plan*Because I'll be teaching in about a week at SCAD, I've been thinking a lot about what to tell the students. And I wrote it out so that I could solidify it in my head. This stuff is for younger artists mostly, so feel free to skip.5 Year Plan3 years ago in Personal More Like This
When I spend time with another comic artist, sometimes I'll ask, "What's your 5 year plan?" In other words, what steps is he taking in order to gain control over his career in order to move up the ladder? Usually I don't get much of an answer.
The reason I think many comic artists aren't forward-thinking has to do with the way our industry is set up. Whether by conscious design or through the neglect of its participants, younger freelancers get into a habit of complacency while hoping for a chance to suckle from the teet of a major publisher. Waiting around for a career doesn't promote the idea of freelancers taking active control of their OWN careers.
If I had to sum up the 5 Year Plan

There's a spine on my front lawn.Yes, it's exactly what it sounds like. There's a spine on my front lawn.3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I'm not really positive what normal protocol is for finding skeletal remains on your property. I can't say I've ever sat down on a rainy day and been like.. "Hm.. kind of humid today. I should probably read up on what to do in event of bones showing up on my front lawn."
And you know, it wouldn't even be a HUGE issue if it was, say, a femur. Even an ulna! I'd just assume a cartoon dog moved in next door and, at most, I'd have to chide him for his slovenly habits. (After the inevitable half hour of wacky hijinx, of course.)
But no. It's a spine. Or at least, part of a spine. A particularly large hunk of spine. HOW DOES SOMEONE MISPLACE THAT. Especially so neatly detached from everything else.
Actually, it's occurring to me, I should probably take a picture of this, because I can already feel the wave of 'pix or it didn't happen' responses. And you are entirely in the right to ask this. I'm sending Zombiesmile out now to snap a ph
Emerging artists, we want you at Comic-Con 2012!Join us in Artists’ Alley!Emerging artists, we want you at Comic-Con 2012!3 years ago in Personal More Like This
DeviantART is once again heading to Comic-Con International: San Diego! This year, we’re offering six scholarships to emerging comic artists to attend San Diego Comic-Con 2012 as guests of deviantART.
Who should apply?
We're looking for artists who have always dreamt of going to Comic-Con and who want to make the most of the experience. Applicants must be serious about attending Comic-Con and must be willing and able to come to San Diego, California between July 12 through 15.
The chosen artists will spend one day at Comic-Con, where they will be able to show their portfolio in Artists' Alley. When not showcasing their work, scholarship recipients will be able to cruise the convention floor, attend panels, and introduce themselves to prominent artists in the industry, with a chance to pick their brains and gain artistic inspiration right from the source.
The six recipients will each receive:

My Two cents on Portfolio ReviewsYou know, I see quite a bit of portfolio on a regular basis, and even more so when I go to comic con and CTN.My Two cents on Portfolio Reviews1 year ago in Personal More Like This
This time around was the same thing, I saw quite a few portfolios. Some good ones and some that miss the mark.
There were a few in particular that caught my eye.. a few extremely good ones, and a few that just didn't work, and I wanted to try and share my opinions about portfolios in general.
This is just my point of view, based on MY experience and definitely not a definitely law, rule, or "must do". Just what I noticed in many student's and young professional's portfolios.
The first thing that strikes me is how similar portfolios can be from one student to another..I can almost always tell when one student is from Art Center, San Jose State, Otis, Sheridan or any other major school. It's a good thing and a bad thing. Mainly a bad thing though
Just a few personal thoughts on portfolios since I just came back from comic con and saw a ton over there.
Your portfolio should be a r

ANYWAY I'm here now to make it up to you as I'm about to type up this long photo-journal, so I hope you enjoy-
To start off I suppose I should tell you a bit about the group. I formed it in 2011 as a group on facebook with just a few friends not really expecting many people to join but having it out there just incase, to my delight friends of friends saw it and other people saw it on the Kitacon forum and it wasn't that long before we actually had quite a few people. We arranged to meet up on the Sunday in the afternoon and due to infuriating costuming issues (near enough my entire costume was made at the convention because it was so last minute I'd brought a whole bag full of cosplay making bits and bobs) I was actually late to meet everyone for the group which I felt awful about but it was only half an hour at most. oops! thankfully everyone wa

If you have already finished your entry, post it now! You have time up to midnight tonight, because tomorrow the jury (me, my sister and my father) will consult to choose the best ones and probably the results of the contest will be published.
Are you good at portraying people? Are you a fan of vampires? Do you like wolves or werewolves? Do you have a penchant for dragons and you like to draw? If you answered yes to at least one of these questions, you're in the contest for you!
Welcome to my first REAL contest on deviantart. (There was another, smaller, but that does not count ...).
This is a kind of statistical contest ... to the character that will be many times designed and therefore appreciated among my OC, surely will be granted to survive the final battle of the Way of Legends (or any battle).
But 'nuff said! I know you want to know the rules and priz

Fan Art Law
Mon Sep 10, 2012 by techgnotic
t seems there’s nothing quite as dear to the hearts of many of our deviants as their production of fan art, and at the same time, there is nothing so knotted with legal and ethical headaches. Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, but in the form of fan art it has also become one of the most frustratingly complicated. At some point, the sheer volume of fan art around a single property may become so large that the issue rises to another level of scrutiny by the creators of the original work.
With this dynamic in mind, we thought the following panel that Josh Wattles, our Advisor In Chief here at deviantART, and a mystery guest named Harold Smith, gave at Comic Con this year might be of immense help in understanding the ever evolving elements of fan art

There is no cosmic law that states artists must suffer many long years and demeaning day-jobs before a window of opportunity cracks open just enough to hop on through.
Fellow deviant Brian Kesinger is a case in point.
His first “day-job” in 1996—he was hired straight out of his senior year of high school—was drawing Tarzan for Disney.
Brian stayed at Disney and he considers every day there a part of his ongoing education as an artist. He most recent
