Twi brought his water filled hands swiftly to his face, letting the cold liquid trickle down his cheeks. He inhaled, and then exhaled heavy, gripping the sides of the porcelain sink in the excessively pampered house of Nova. He tightly shut his eyes. His grip relaxed as he mumbled possibilities and plans under his breath. He reached for a towel and wiped his face.
"You could let me have a whack at that wacko." Said an androgynous voice from the empty bathtub. Twi jumped; momentarily surprised that he wasn't alone. He realized how rare an occurrence THAT was and walked over, peering down into the tub at his sibling, whose bored blue eyes gazed up into his.
"No hurting anyone, Kenny, I'd prefer that this is handled without violence."

I like to think that sometimes
Dreams could be so true
That all my thoughts
And all the clocks
Would trace right back to you
Fairy tales often lie
And people often cheat
Like a small caught animal
All we get is beat
But I see a future at which at hand
This isn't always so
And though my hope
Is hard to grope
Of the future I do not know
A heart can be broken
Be taken above
A heart can be devastated
When nothing is left to love
But the world is vast
And the universe is wide
The distances grow
The paths unknown
But hold your head up high
It may seem like a fake belief
And life is out to cause you grief
But I have seen a lot
And at my worst
And through the hurt
My heart and love was caught
This is how things happen, you know
It isn't so black and white
The world isn't comprised of only day and night
Your life may not be where you're at
And may not be your keeper
But dream your dreams
Of happy things
You lovely little sleeper
Dreams do come true, in one way or another
Though you have not fou

It was the night before Christmas, and as your mother tucked you into bed, her hushed voice floated through your bedroom as she sang. Her voice was gentle and as sweet as honey- you always loved listening to it. Her singing was the "best sound in the whole wide world" as you had put it.
"Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your nose," Your mother sang the words softly as she layed the blanket over your body. Giggling, you swatted at her hand as she playfully tapped you on the nose. Humming the next few lines, your mother stepped through your mess of toys and books laying on the floor, reaching to pick them up and put them away.
"Momma," You started, watching her move across the room towards you. She placed herself on the edge of your bed and turned to you, bringing a hand up to stroke your hair.
"Who's Jack Frost?" Her lips turned up in a gentle smile.
"Ah, well," She began slowly. Your curious eyes widened a smidgen. "Jack frost is the person

"Let him go."
"Gaah! " The Doctor was shoved face first into the floor. "It's that sound." He pushed himself back up and urgently addressed the Master on his knees. He had two minutes to stop this. "The sound in your head what if I could help?" He offered. It was not an empty, desperate cry or a deception. All he wanted was to help. The Master was the only other Time Lord left, and he would do whatever he could to keep him safe, including save him from himself. But this plot needed to stop. If only the Master would listen!
"Ooh, how to shut him up?" The Master mocked, miming a babbling puppet with his hand. A dark smile came over his face. "In know " in a flash, he pulled out his laser screwdriver again, reached forward, and grabbed the Doctor's head.
"Master!-" The Doctor tried to stop him. The Master shoved the end of his laser device into the Doctor's mouth and activated it. Agony laced through every fiber of the Doctor's being as a stream of golden fire ripped do
Unforgivable Sin"NO!" The Doctor sat bolt upright with a desperate cry, abject terror shining in his wide eyes. His body was unbelievably tense and his stomach tied in a tight, binding knot. His breathing hitched and stopped as for an eternity of a moment he sat paralyzed in fear, startled and nearly swallowed by the darkness around him.Unforgivable Sin2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
"Doctor?" His wife whispered beside him. Rose's voice seemed small, even insignificant in comparison to the deafening stillness and silence that assaulted the Doctor's mind. He instinctually glanced around the room to try and insist to his mind that it had all been a dream and that he was awake again, but his attention was still captured by the raw, unchecked panic that surged through his single heart at what he had just seen, experienced, and done again.
At once, even as he subconsciously recognized the secure room around him and Rose by his side, the pure horror of his dream rushed back upon him so fast and so hard that he nearly choked. He was

He was practically shaking no, he was shaking - in frightened anticipation. The Doctor glanced back at the door again, his eyes darting around the room. He took in every inch of his surroundings, if for nothing else than to occupy his mind. Everything around him was white. The walls were white, the floor was white, the door was white. Not a brilliant white, mind you, just a plain one; one that might have been more light-blue or grey if the lighting was right, the kind of white-washed white that peop

"Good." Rose smiled warmly, placing her hand over the place where the cut had been. The TARDIS sickbay was so much better than a normal hospital. No need for bandages when you could simply close the skin back up.
"Although " The Doctor continued as he shouldered his shirt back on fully, moving Rose's hand out of the way and re-adjusting his sleeve. There was a small hole in the white fabric surrounded by minimal traces of blood. He picked up his brown suit jacket and found a similar hole and stains. "Hmph. I quite liked that suit." He said. Rose took it from him and looked over the sleeve.
"We can mend it." She said. "I'm just glad you're alright."
The Doctor smiled at her, glad to have someone that cared for him. He stood up from his seat on the table and pulled Rose into a hug. "I'm always alright." He told her, wrapping his arms about her shoulders p
Whatever Happens - Chapter 2Rose ran as hard and as fast and as far as she could. She flew down countless corridors, locking each door behind her with the sonic screwdriver. Each time she saw it she convinced herself that she could run a little farther. Her heart pounded in her ears and her breath came in hungry gasps. Her sides ached and her legs grew quickly sore. But then she heard him, racing down the hall behind her. How had he broken through? Rose turned and ran through the next room. She did not even know where she was anymore. She had never been in this part of the TARDIS, and she did not even know where to start looking for a way to defeat the Vionyfir. She mentally called out to the TARDIS once more, hoping that the ship could show her the way.
The Doctor's whole body slammed against the door behind her. Rose cried out once more and pushed herself to keep going. She could not keep th

Warm, sticky fluid flowed freely over his hand. Pain shot like fire through his veins. The world seemed to move in slow motion. This could not be happening. Not to him. Not now. The Doctor clutched his side tightly, but he could do little to keep the crimson stains from spreading.
The day had started out well enough. He remembered the blissful peace of morning as he and Rose walked hand-in-hand from the Tardis into everyday adventure. He had allowed his ship to choose their landing and they had ended up on a relatively earth-like planet in an age and area that seemed like a cross between an American western and the world of Sherlock Holmes. Aside from the copper-skinned, semi-reptilian, three-armed aliens, of course.
They were not overly intelligent creatures, but they were in an age of discovery and relative peace. The Doctor had reflected brightly on their future, noting to Rose that once both races developed inter-galactic travel, humans and the Uduak, as they were called, would for

Autobot Academy; The Fist Energonball Game of the Season. Time; 4:45:
"Welcome mechs and femmes to the first Energonball game of the season! Here, at our own Autobot Academy!" screamed the announcerbot into the microphone, loyal Autobot students and parental units cheering loudly for their academy. "Tonight we face our arch rivals, the brutal, the harsh, the dastardly Decepticons!" he howled dramatically, the crowd once again roaring with noise, this time with more jeers then cheers.
One the other side of the very wide spread, bowl-like arena, the Decepticon High students and their parental units alike made opposite snide remarks on the Autobots.
"Now before we begin our breathtaking ballgame, let's all give it up for those hard-rolling, pom-pom twirling, red and white Auto-babes!!" The Autobot bleacher erupted in waves of cheers again as the cheerleaders trotted out from the bunker, waving their thin-sheeted metal pom-poms at the crowd and jumping around with enth

Twi looked over the chessboard with concentrating eyes and furrowed brows. He bit down harshly upon his fingers, winced and pulled them out of his mouth. Twisting his lips he reached over and lifted a white piece and set it down on the other side of the board then picked himself up and transferred to the other side of the table.
"I don't know how this is improving your game, you're playing against yourself." Said Max, who was leafing through a magazine and peering at his albino adversary who had the same fixed gaze upon the board once more, but now for black.
"We're our own worst enemies, trying to beat yourself teaches you leaps and bounds about your personality."
"Because self torture makes you smart?" remarked Max, to which Twi simply replied "yes."
Another man entered the room with a pile of books being carried by one arm and the other reading a piece of fancy parchment. Without lifting his head, Twi greeted him, flatly and almost in an inaudible mumble.

Whatever Happens - Chapter 3The Doctor wanted to scream: He wanted to kick and scream and cry and beg and fight and even die if it would only stop this madness. If only it would stop him from hurting Rose. His body lifted itself from the floor against his will and began working to follow her through the locked door. She was slowing him down, but the Doctor knew that it could not last forever. His nose now dripped a slow stream of crimson, as did his wrist. He was losing blood, but the Vionyfir did not care. Even if he died it would not release his body, and it would not stop pursuing its blood-lust for Rose.Whatever Happens - Chapter 33 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
It was creeping ever farther into his mind now, he could feel it. It was beginning to understand speech and logic because he did. Soon it might be able to talk. It sent a pulse of agonizing pain throughout his entire being. The Doctor

"We'll take good care of 'er, m'Lord." One of the nursemaids assured Logan as he hesitantly allowed the two to guide the princess into his private bathroom. He was giving the full responsibility of cleaning and caring for Vanessa to two common nursemaids, which had never been a problem before, but now.. Logan looked over the back of her thigh again, twp deep scratch marks being the focus of his gaze. He clenched his back molars down in worried frustration as he finally released his sister's arm.
"You had better." He muttered bitterly before turning away to leave. In all honestly, he'd rather be bathing her himself. She was in no emotional condition for these idiots to try and idly chat with her or ask her what happened or something else equally as stupid. Those wounds were still fresh, literally and metaphorically speaking. He stalked over to his desk as a nervous male servant opened his chamber doors and hurriedly walked to the bed. Ted didn't like thinking about how much time had passed since that day that would live on forever in the history of the until recently named Thneedville. He was twenty four years old now, a strapping young man with the kind of height his grandfather would be proud of. He was lean, muscular where it mattered but not overly so. Unfortunately, as he had gotten older, and spent so much time reading and studying for his degree in business college he had ended up needed glasses.
His mother blamed his genetics, but Ted didn't mind that much. "They make me look smarter!" he had joked the day he'd gotten his rectangle glasses from the eye doctor. They were deep green, the colour chosen for a special reason that nobody had to ask why about, and had proudly worn them ever since he turned nineteen.
Things had indeed gotten better around the now named Greenville, that much had to be said. The skies were blue and beautiful, the seasons came and went as they were supposed to, the sun shone brightly e

It didn't take long for the emotionally and physically drained princess to fall asleep on her still confused and embarrassed older brother, leaving him even more confused and embarrassed. After a few moments, Logan managed to scoot slowly up the side of his bed until he was, for the most part, laying correctly on it. He settled his head on the pillow and looked down to his right at his exhausted little sister. She was much cleaner now, and all of her injuries were healed, as far as he could see, but her eyes now resembled his, in a less harsh way, of course. He thought for a moment longer about her injuries, particularly about the two deep cuts on her left inner thigh. He wondered in panic if they had left horrid scars on her flesh, the same flesh he vowed to protect, and to keep from injury and scarring for as long as he remained on this Earth. Logan looked down from the corner of his eye at his sleeping princess, who was still very much sleeping. He took a deep inhale through

It was purple and tan, the exact color schemes of her clothing. Sari began to run, then sprint as the jet came closer and closer and its parts began shifting. She leapt in a desperate attempt to get out of the way as the transforming jet crashed.
Sari slowly opened one eye to find she was still alive. She rolled over onto her back and sat up to stare at the trip
