Chatter from students and metallic slamming of lockers echoed through the halls of Monster High. It appeared to be an average morning at the monster school. Students gathered their books and materials for their first class of the day and gossiped with their friends. All seemed perfectly normal that morning.
As always, there were the groups of students who groaned as they entered the building, upset that they, yet again, had to get up early and go to that school. For Hedward Horseman, however, there was a different reason entirely for why he didn't want this day to arrive. It was this morning that he knew he had to fix the damage he had caused the
night before, and he was scared out of his mind to do it.
The shadows under his eyes were darker than they usually were. Hedward hadn't slept all night, not since he went over to Bo's. That was the night everything spiraled out of control. Why couldn't he keep himself calm? Why did he have to let his teenage hormones ruin the relationship he h

Hedward Horseman scratched away with his black fountain pen. He completed his last sentence and beamed. He finished his Dead Languages homework and he was now done with all of his chores for the night. Hedward glanced at the miniature wooden clock that sat on his desk and smiled. 7:35. His father would be home any minute and he would finally get some quality time with him, something he rarely got.
Hedward gathered his stack of papers and tucked them safely away into his school bag which he carelessly tossed onto his bed. He merrily flew out of his bedroom and toward the kitchen. He could see the kitchen light illuminating from the kitchen door. A huge smile formed on his face. That only meant that his dad had returned home.
He could feel the wind rushing through his hair already. He could feel the pulsing beat of the horse's hooves that rushed through him with each contact the hoof made with the ground. He could smell the forest air, so still in the night, which invited him to keep rid
HealingTwo months. Two months since everything happened. Two months ago Hedward had stepped out of line and destroyed his friendship with the best friend he had had since childhood. Two months ago he had to stomp on the heart of one of his other good friends only to prevent hurting her with his own questionable feelings. For two months he had to pass both of those ghouls by in the hallways of Monster High. For two months he felt the sharp pain in his heart whenever he took in Bo's glare or Madison's mask of a smile. For two months he had to hide from Nubis' wrath and face the judgmental stares of his peers. It was cowardly and he was ashamed of himself.Healing2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Two months was too much. He couldn't do it anymore. He couldn't take the stares, the glares, the fake smiles. He couldn't take the feelings that were underneath them anymore. He was too much of a coward.
Finally the school day had ended and he was set free, at least until the sun rose the next morning. But Hedward wasn't planning on going back

DoucheDeuce Gorgon guy. Issac DeVile tells me he's really a 'nice' guy, but I don't agree. Anybody standing in my way to the top is on my 'take down' list. Technically, this means Clawd is too. Issac says my attitude is a sure way not to make captain next year.
More love letters. Every few days I get letters in my locker from some ghouls. I don't get why. It's not like I ever talk to them. I can't stand most ghouls. Too complicated. If they can 'like' me without knowing me, I can dislike them without knowing them. I am fine without a ghoulfriend, thanks! Never had one, never will.
I got sent to the Headless Mistress today. I didn't eat enough at lunch so I was really pissed off and this stupid substitute creature tried to tell me I couldn't eat in class. He took away my food. He took. My food. Wendigo are greedy

Oh! We have new neighbors. Again. I've lost count of how many times neighbors just up and leave or vanish. But, these guys seem pretty okay. I think they are a manticore husband and wife. Sometimes I see Dad staring out the window at them I hope he's not thinking of doing what I think he is!
People keep telling me my brother is a cold, uncaring, jerk. That's just because all they are looking at is the surface. They don't really understand him. Wendel is just a big 'ol grizzly bear. Which is pretty cuddly when you take a look at Mom and Dad. Today, I couldn't find Shadow. I normally take him on an early morning walk before school, but he got out of the back yard. Francine was never late, and definitely not this late. She should've gotten her period during her sudden flu spell. She didn't worry too much about it considering how sick she was, but she started to feel better and still nothing. She was over a week late now.
She felt incredibly stupid for worrying this much. There was an obvious explanation for her period being late. First her sickness and then her current issues with Dominic had given her unnecessary stress. Stress had to be the mastermind behind this.
Francine always made her boy toys use protection and she regularly took birth control so, logically, there was no way. Though there were those few days where she took some antibiotics to take care of a little sinus infection. She knew what that did

Woke up to a beautiful day at sea then a boat crashed into us. Dad took care of those filthy landlubbers. And by take care of I mean chopping 'em up and throwing 'em overboard! That was fun to watch.
Ugh! Men are such pigs! I was cooped up all day on the ship doing chores and those bilge-sucking "pirates" took a fancy in whistling and hollering at me. They've done it before and they do it all the time but it's high time I show 'em who's in charge around here. Okay, so I may not be completely in charge but Dad doesn't approve of them looking at me like that either. But I didn't tell Dad about today, he's got enough on his plate.
I heard Dad playing his organ all night last night. Something must be bothering him. I'll be sure to stay out of his way.
The seas were calm today so I took a swim with me favorite squid, Squishy. It was incredible! We dove deeper than we had before and we found some lost jewels! I'll be keeping those to meself; I don't w

Jackson Jekyll was sitting on his bed, his phone being balanced on his shoulder with the side of his head as he scrolled through a website of fun posts and blogs on his laptop. Jackson had checked out of the hospital earlier that week after going through weeks of recovery and physical therapy after Manny Taur's attack on him and was excited to get back to school the next morning. For those weeks of recovery, he attended his classes via webcam thanks to Frankie and his other friends.
And Valentine visited him the hospital every day he could, bringing him new flowers as the old ones began to wither.
"Did you see my latest post, sugah?" Valentine's southern accent-laced voice asked over the phone. Jackson scrolled through, his eyes panning the multitude of pictures and text.
"I'm looking there's too many cats on my dash." Jackson mumbled noting to himself to stop following so many werecat girls. Finally, he found a picture that was posted by 'SecretLuver', Valentine's usern

It was actually a very beautiful night. The full moon was shinning bright on the night sky as the silver Mercedes Benz CLK 320 Convertible was crossing the city streets.
Not much was being said between the two people inside of the car, but he could clearly notice that she was feeling down again, with her gaze lost in the street lights that passed by as fast as fireflies.
-You're still thinking about it?- he asked gently looking at her. It took her a moment to respond, but first she sighed.
-It's not like I'll take it out of my head that easily -she answered looking down to her feet- I've been ignoring my own feelings for more than a week I just can't hold them in any longer -
He stared at her for a moment and then looked back to the front.
-I understand -he said and then he remained in silence for a while- I really don't like seeing you like this, Ms.Geist... I don't think you deserve it -

Knowing Hedward being preoccupied, Nubis took this chance to have a little talk with him just before meeting up with Bo. He approached Hedward's locker and he crossed his arms and spoke out his name to get his attention.
Hedward jumped a bit at the sound of his name. He didn't recognize the voice at first. It didn't belong to one of his friends; too deep to be any of the ghouls and it certainly wasn't any of his guy friends. But he knew this voice. It hit him like a ton of bricks. Oh crap. Hopefully he was wrong. Hedward turned his head to face the voice. Sadly, he was right. It was Nubis. He stared at the Egyptian god with fear, not knowing what to say.
Nubis had a glare in his pitch black eyes, his white pupils staring down at Hedward. Not wanted to

Valentine and the others rushed as they followed the blaring ambulance closely behind. It wasn't long before the ambulance pulled into the round about in front of the hospital and began pulling Jackson out on the stretcher and rushed him inside. Valentine parked the car as fast as he could into the nearest parking space and leaped out over the drivers' side door.
He ignored the other's calls for him as he bolted through the front door and rushed after the stretcher disappearing behind two swinging doors to the ER. A nurse yelled for him to stop, but Valentine pursued until finally he was beside the stretcher. He looked down at Jackson and saw that he was already hooked up, oxygen tubes running from his nose and mouth.
"Jackson?" Valentine said trying to get his attention. Jackson appeared heavily sedated already and couldn't respond. His eyes were gently shut. One of the doctors looked up at the vampire as they continued bustling quickly down the hall.

The bell rang and released the students from the final period. As Jackson gathered his things, Frankie came over beside him looking chipper as always.
"Hiya, Jackson." She said sweetly. Jackson looked at her with a nervous smile.
"Hey Frankie." He replied zipping up his book bag and slinging it over his shoulder. He tried his best to contain his enthusiasm and excitement about hanging out with Valentine and he didn't want Frankie to know his plans.
"So uh, got any plans today, cause I "
"No!" Jackson blurted. Frankie was taken aback by his outburst. "I-I mean, yes I do have plans today, but I " Frankie giggled.
"Jackson, it's okay. We can do something later this week, okay?" Frankie said walking off with a skip in her step. Jackson breathed a sigh of relief and left the classroom into the crowded hall. After shuffling through the sea of students, he spotted Valentine getting a few books out of his locker. He tapped the vampire on the shoulder, making him spin aroun

Well it's that time of year again. Mother's Day. Well since my mother left my dad a few years ago, I've always helped make a little something for my grandma. Pamela Voorhees. Dad has his little shrine for her with her disembodied head, which is a little too over the top for me, so I picked a few flowers around the lake and set them down in front of the shrine. I heard from my dad that she was a very caring lady. She didn't mind my dad's condition and was very kind to him. I wish I could've met her. I'm sure she wanted to see her son all grown up with a kid.
Well today is my dad's birthday. I actually made a nice statue for dad. It took me a pretty long time in the shed and even more of an effort to keep it a secret from him. He actually looked pretty happy when I showed it to him. He hugged me actually, which is something he pretty rarely does. After he put the statue up on top of the fireplace mantle, he ruffled my hair and walked past me. My dad's pretty cool, even

The clock chimed 2 am at Jackson's dark and empty house. Jackson slept on the couch in his living room, the blue light from the television illuminating the room. All of a sudden, there was a gentle tapping on the window. Jackson stirred and looked around through his tired eyes when he heard it again. He straightened his crooked glasses still on his face and sat up to raise the blinds.
He peeked out and his eyes met with a pair of lightly glowing pink eyes. Jackson jumped in surprise, but knew who it was as Valentine waved from outside the window. Jackson slid the window open and allowed the vampire inside.
"Valentine? What are you doing here?" Jackson asked, still sleepy.
"Just needed to come see you." Valentine replied sounding a bit distressed. Jackson cocked his head and offered him a seat on the couch, which the vampire graciously accepted.

The day was excruciating. All Valentine could think about was getting the chance to talk to Jackson. Much to his surprise, the boy was difficult to find. They didn't seem to have a lot of classes together and in between classes, the halls were crowded and he had no idea where Jackson's locker was. Finally, at lunch he knew he could find him easily.
He strutted through the double doors of the creepeteria and looked around. Several of the students glanced up at him, but quickly went back to chatting with their friends or returned to their food. Valentine walked into the noisy room and went from one table to the next, until he finally spotted him.
Unfortunately, it was one of the last places he was hoping to find him. He was sharing a table with that Frankenstein girl, Draculaura, Clawd, and several of their other friends. He couldn't just walk over and talk to Jackson with all of them over there. He needed to get him away somehow. As he pondered, a small gremlin kid started to

The year was now 2012. And everything about Henry had faded into a distant memory.
After Draculaura's Sweet 1600, the weekend went by creepily slow, as Valentine worked as hard as he could to get that retched smell out of his clothes and more importantly, off of himself. His mother was furious when he arrived home as he dripped god-knows-what on her 13th century rug in the foyer. She shuffled in and hooped and hollered about the mess and the smell and the fact he hadn't cleaned up after his pet bats. He rolled his eyes and without a word stalked past her nagging to the sanctuary of his own bedroom.
He just wasn't in the mood to deal with her screeching and felt that he could put off the lecture of 'you have to listen and obey your mother' as he slammed and locked his bedroom door. With a sigh, the vampire headed for the bathroom and glanced at himself in the vampire-proof mirror. He stared at his wide-eyed glare for what felt like ages before finally bringing himself to just
