Panels at Comic Con!Hey guys! As you may have heard already, I will be participating in 3 panels hosted by dA at San Diego Comic Con!
Besides the panels listed bellow, I will also be at the 4th Dimension Entertainment booth # 5536 in the IP Pavillion from time to time to sign Knite posters
The first one is on Thursday, July 12th from 3 - 4 PM called "Living and creating in the deviantART world" and it will be a semi tutorial styled panel answering many of the common questions that people have asked me such as how to get started, where to find inspirations, and how make new discoveries. I will also be doing a Q&A at the end
Right afterwards from 4 - 5 PM on the same day is the "Don't break in, break out!" panel about the new world of publishing with the advent of social media such as dA. This panel will feature seasoned professionals like DeevElliott and MrBabyTattoo as well as newbies to publishing like myself, not to mention our favorite

Life has been pretty crazy lately. I just moved to a new apartment and we won't get our internet until a week later so I just want announce a few things while I still have the chance (using my friend's wifi atm).
1. Fanime was amazing! Thank you all who dropped by my table, and sorry that I lost my voice on the 4th day too much talking lol... It was great making new friends, hanging out with old friends, and just seeing other deviants in real life! I'm sorry a lot of the prints sold out on the first day, but I will try to open online sales for certain prints once I get my internet back. And I will definitely print more for future conventions
My deepest apologies for not having 1000 Words for Fanime. The printers at Active Media Publishing http://www.activemediapublishing.com/ promised over and over that they would have it ready, but they didn't, and when we called them about it, they hung up on us. As a matter of fact, we still don't have the book

So to avoid confusing everyone, the artist alley is in the main exhibit hall on the 2nd floor. The hall is for dealers near the entrance, and artist tables are in the back half of the hall. Here's a map http://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/main-web-w/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Exhibit-Full-letter.pdf but the map doesn't show each artist tables. If you walk down aisle 6, I should be on the first row of the artist alley tables.
See you! And good luck finding parking
It's that time of the year again for Anime Expo!
People at cons always tell me that they didn't know I was going to be there so I am just going to spam this everywhere:
I will be at Anime Expo this 6/29-7/2 at the Los Angeles Convention Center
I will have Knite posters and buttons, original prints, and Augen Auf cards. Unfortunately, due to the printing error by Active Media Publishing, 10

First, thank you all for the support about the Comic Con panels, and thank you, dA, for giving me the opportunity to do so!
Speaking of panels, I will be giving another one about how anime and art can be more than just pretty pictures, but also a powerful mechanism of change. I will talk about how I first started doing activist art, finding inspiration, and how that evolved into my life's career. I will also be talking about how you can easily take action with nothing but the will of your imagination.
The panel will be held at Cal Anime Destiny http://www.calanimedestiny.com a small one day (and super cheap) anime convention held at my university When I'm not panelling, you can find me in the Artist Alley (the AA is small, so I'll be easy to find ). The con is this October 13th at MLK Student Union on the University of California Berkeley campus 10 AM7 PM (more info here http://www.calanimedestiny.com/location )
I look forward to s

The prints! And these aren't all of them. More are hidden under each other or out of view. They come in all sizes from the largest measuring 12x18 inches at $7 to the smallest measuring 3x6 inches at $1, and everything in between.
The Augen Auf playing cards will be for sale for $15 per deck, or $25 for 2 decks. I'm currently not selling these cards online so Fanime is the only place to get it.

Thursday, 12:00 - 1:00 PM, Room 2 Upper Level
Cosplay is a loved hobby by many, but what is it about cosplay that attracts us? What is cosplay culture like? What is the proper etiquette as it relates to photographing cosplayers and socializing with convention attendees? Have all your questions about cosplay answered by veteran costume designer and cosplayer Yaya Han (yayacosplay).
For the past 11 years, yayacosplay has been creating full costumes and fashion pieces in the United States, and what began as a passionate hobby has evolved into a loving craft and career. Check out her work and make room for this informative panel!
Info Updates & Mustache CupcakesHey guys! It's been a while and I haven't been too active on dA this past month but here's the journal to keep you all updated:Info Updates & Mustache Cupcakes2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I've been busy speeding up the schedule so I can release my next webcomic, Fisheye Placebo as soon as possible. The current release date is set to early 2013.
That means Knite had to slow down a bit since it's difficult to work on 2 projects at once. However, I still aim to update Knite ch5 beta strips around once a week. You may have noticed that in the past, I posted Knite in full chapter flash format, but I really enjoyed posting beta pages on my :iconknites: account since this allowed more audience interaction. The problem was switching between accounts was too much pain, and updating several pages a day flooded people's accounts. In the end, I decided to post strips on this account instead. The strips will only be posted once a week so if you don't want to be spoiled, just ignore the strips
In other news, I have several other so

WELL THERE MY BELOVED FANARTISTS FRIENDS BE CAREFUL FOR THERE IS A FACEBOOK PAGE THAT REFUSES TO GIVE YOU CREDITS FOR YOUR HARDWORK JUST BECAUSE THEY SIMPLY FOUND IT ON GOOGLE!!!
ISN'T THAT NICE???
Well now, seriously
I follow some facebook pages.
To tell you the truth I follow the ones that credit artists for their work, because I find it nice to click on the link they provide of their galleries and almost die of happiness seeing other wonderful artworks from the same person on their own site.
But yesterday a Saint Seiya Page I follow had a funny comic stolen by a famous Anime Page on Facebook. The ADMs claim they found it on google already the way it was. Without the SSpage logo. And they put their logo on that comic, posted on their page as if it was theirs. Because seriously, when you put your logo on a work you found on internet you are automatically saying IT IS YOURS! And, of course
My Deeper Involvement with the Art Community. Many new & interesting things have surfaced in my life online to help me connect with the art community better, and some of these may interest you.My Deeper Involvement with the Art Community.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Firstly I've finally setup my Livestream Channel and I have regular painting demonstrations for the community. If you curious about how I create my art and my different approaches, you are more than welcome to join me. Please remember to register yourself and put my channel in your watchlist so that you will get notified via emails whenever i broadcast my live sessions.
Secondly I have my dA chatroom called Artgermination, which dedicated to all Digital Art discussions. It has been running for a few months and it has now become a great place for many great artists to hang out and exchange art tips and knowledge. I am really involved with the chat regardless of my crazy working schedules and I am enjoying it. If you have some burning questions about digital art and th
Comic-Con: Day 4On Sunday, the 4th and final day of San Diego Comic-Con, we were able to keep the love flowing to show the artists and art enthusiasts who came by our booth just how much they meant to us.Comic-Con: Day 42 years ago in DeviantART Announcements More Like This
The last day of Comic-Con is always bittersweet. The air buzzes with positivity, inspiration, and camaraderie, but in the back of your mind, you know it may be another year before you see some of these friends, old and new. Sure, we always have the Internet, but there's something special about meeting in real life that can’t compare to flipping through a portfolio of sketches, laughing out loud with your peers, and supporting artists’ hard work right then and there.
There was rarely a moment when one of our seven kiosks wasn’t occupied by an artist. Young or old, newbie or professional, digital or traditional, the chance to sit down and create art was difficult to pass up with inspiration coming from every direction.

The Roommate Adventures of ~THE SUNKEN SINK~While I was too busy stressing over the issues with the 1000 Words book and trying to fix the problems, I failed to mention some other, sillier, problems we've had since moving to a new apartment. The Roommate Adventures of ~THE SUNKEN SINK~2 years ago in Personal More Like This
It went something like this:
Roommate: Wenqing!!! The sink fell!!!
Me: ...What?! (in my mind: Silly roommy got her English all confused. She must have meant something fell into the sink)
After going to the bathroom
Me: Holy crap! The sink fell!!!
The sinking sink, the sunken sink, the sink sank? Thinking of sinking sinks lol
And then the other roommate came home and was (in her own words) " ┻━┻ ︵ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ︵ ┻━┻ "
But as the first roommate put it: "The good thing about not having a bathroom sink is that you can just reach through the counter where the sink should be to grab whatever is underneath."
